- Background: It wasn't until his thirteenth birthday that he finally got a CD player. The most basic model, no bells or whistles. But he didn't care. He'd seen good music on his friends' walls bedroom walls and heard it on their CD players, so he knew what he liked to hear. As soon as he got enough money, he went out and bought all the he could. Only the top musical selections on his list would do. He stayed up most of the night listening, memorizing, singing along, and even dancing to his music collection.

Then, he made the mistake of taking that CD player to class one day and accidentally fell asleep for some reason or another. This angered his teacher and as such his CD player was taken from him until the end of the school day. He was like a junkie without his fix. He started to shake violently and become withdrawn, but the teacher had no choice but to keep the player from him. It was interfering with his studies.

In fact, in almost every class before, he'd been acing a great deal of his assignments, but after he got that CD player, everything went downhill. His grades gradually slipped, some even down into the D range, but somehow he kept from failing.

Then in the next year, he'd earned enough money to buy an even better player and more music. His grades held steady, and some were even improving. His secret is that he'd only listen to music through one ear, and the teacher and assignment for the next day through another. This sometimes lead to weird answers to questions like, "What was the result of Vlad Dracul's reign of terror?" to which he answered, "A Vampire's Lament by Ateryu."

Both his teachers and parents became worried by answers such as this, but neither cared much about them when good grades came as well.

- Background: At one point in life Akusha Anrui was a genius in all subjects in school, but that soon changed when he began playing games. As a child, she was the star of her family, being an A student from kindergarten up. In junior high, she got used to getting B's, though she made the 4.0 Honors three quarters in the eighth grade. Placed in all available honors and AP classes in freshman year, Lin started to drop. - Background: When Ai was born, her father, a talented Japanese graphic designer and busy business man wanted for his daughter to be a loving child. - Background: Eddie has always been a slight outcast throughout his entire school history. He was the nerd that no one wanted to be around, he had very few talents and only really excelled at was his martial arts training in Tai Kwon Do. Thought he followed his grandfather's instructions carefully and only uses the training in severe cases when he needs to. Edward has always wanted to be called Eddie to space himself from his grandfather, who he felt overshadowed him. His Grandfather, Edward James Vaghn II was a great man, capable of many things and always very kind. He raised Eddie and taught him all that he knows, as his parents had ambandoned him after become drug addicts and eventually OD. His mother went into a coma while his father slowly lost his mind and went into an institution. On Eddie's 14th birthday two important events happened. The first was the his mother had awoken from her coma, but had lost all her memories and could only barely talk. And all she said made little sense to anyone. She was a vegetable from the neck down and everything above that was lost or damaged. Eddie had visited her and brought her flowers, going alone because his grandfather has important business to deal with that day. Eddie was overwhelmed by his mother's loss of memory and body control and couldn't take it, ran out of the hospital crying. As he came home he found squad cars piled in front of his home, red and blue lights flashing. As he neared he saw his grandfather in the back seat, looking out the far window away from him. Eddie ran up and asked what had happened and the officier called his superior, who took Eddie into the house to sit down and talk to him. He told him how his grandfather had killed over a half dozen people and was the cause of much pain the city had suffered. He was a serial murder, and no one could have guessed it until the police caught up with him.

His grandfather was sentences in a speedy trial and was given lethal injection only 6 short months later, leaving Eddie with a lot of money and a great house to live in, but no family at all. Eddie eventually started to become paranoid and started to hear things in his head. He would tell the housekeepers who worked for his grandpa and still got paid to look after Eddie, as stated in his grandfather's will. He said he could hear his grandfather and was being adviced by him. The housekeepers kept their distance and ignored it, after all, they didn't really care about Eddie, only the money they got. Over the course of the next six months Eddie evolved into a scitzofrentic. He would be taken over by another personally, much more violent and bloodthirsty than the usually calm, peaceful and kind Eddie. His second personality slowly became known as Edward. Or Edward Vaghn II, Eddie's grandfather. But this was only triggered when Eddie was faced with a very violent situation, or severe violence in general. So he was able to live a normal life, ignoring the small vioce in his head that told him he was nothing, a shadow of his grandfather, a boy who lived in pain and could only bring more. His self-esteem started to lower, and he began to hate himself and fear his otherself, which had only come out twice. He can remember what happens, like a horrifying dream that just plays continuously. He can do nothing to stop it, only pray it doesn't happen. Eddie can't stand to see people get hurt.

- Background: Miyazuhime woke up, slowly opening her eyes at the unusual brightness. Around her she could hear murmurs of ‘that went too far' and ‘it wasn't a joke, it wasn't funny' all around her. Ugh…my hair's wet…oh. Sitting up, she looked around. They were at the side of the pool. "Eheh…I've got to go, thank you very much for saving me. I think I'll go home now, I don't feel too well.”

Looking around, she caught sight of some of her classmates. Thats...Ed Ryuken and Jake right there...I can't look this bad in front of everyone!Standing up a little shakily, she thanked the lifeguard and then she walked off.

Sulking around in the empty school corridors, thoughts flew around in her head. They just had to see. I drowned! I almost drowned! Now that's what everyone will be talking about for the rest of the year! I, Miyazuhime, can't swim! It is a true fact, her inability to swim since her early childhood. When she was four, she fell into the pool and nearly drowned, thus making her fear the water. She opened her locker and got out her bags.

Her thoughts were interrupted when a group of guys came around the corner, grinning. "Hey, Miya, want some water?” They rolled a bottle of water to her feet.

Thugs…I don't need this right now. She slammed her locker shut. Miya walked past them, continuing her way to the front doors to walk home to do her schoolwork and get ready to train. She trains 21 hours a week a rhythmic gymnastics, and 8 hours of dance a week. Even though her schedule has been crammed with them, she manages to finish all her schoolwork and play piano and flute to a pleasing level.

Sighing, Miya walked down the sidewalk, hands in her coat pockets. She wasn't really a social outcast, just a little weird.

Her parents were hard working middle class people who expected nothing but the best from her. When she was young they made her play piano, flute, and violin, and signed her up for sports like dancing, soccer, and tennis. When she exceeded their expectations, they rewarded her, first with pets and dolls, then money.

Unlocking the front door and stepping into the house, she was greeted by her black cat. "Hey there, Roro.” Miya kneeled down and petted her. No one else was home. She didn't have that much homework so she walked upstairs to her room and slept. Another day of school, another day of training, life has always been the same, for now.

Naota was originaly a kid from LA, but his father was offered a job in japan so him and his family moved there. Naota's family had alway been like this so he was used to it. When Naota was in middle school he had earned the title "Prince of Clowns" and kept it throughout and during his first year in high-school that name stuck.

As Naota walked into school he was greeted by a bunch of friendly faces, and some girls running and blushing away from him. Naota arrived in his class and sat down, book in front of him and him paying attention while still at the same time able to cause some kind of distraction.

Naota at school is popular overall and a semi-favorite of lots of girls. Even though Naota is known as the "Prince of Clowns" unknown to everyone he trys really hard to keep up in class and get perfect grades, which he does. But when his friends ask about his grades he just replies with "I got a fail as always" and smiles at them. - Background: Born in Kangnung, South Korea. Pak is a member of a large family of fishermen; he has four brothers and three sisters. He entered a South Korean Army Boot Camp when he was 14 since he was able to pass off as an adult. While at Boot Camp, Pak broke a record by being the only inductee to exceed every one of the punishing physical tests exacted upon his squad during training. With this accomplisment, he developed a reputation for physical prowess (as mentioned above). He further built up his reputation by suceeding at lengthy solo infiltration missions (War Games) behind enemy lines, often in disguise for extended periods of time. This gave Pak the following record: Pak is a stealthy recon specialist who gets the job done even when wounded due to his high pain tolerance. After two years of Boot Camp, Pak was sent as an exchange student to Japan for unknown reasons. When he arrived at his High School, he immediatly signed-up for any and all Martial Arts class/club. By doing so, he was able to make sure any thugs would not mess with him (even though he didn't hide the fact that he had Military Training). In the middle of his first year, Pak witnessed a group of thugs harrassing one of the many young girls. Suddenly, Pak dashed over there and bashed the leader's head into a nearby locker. Finally reaching his breaking point at the tender age of 9, Yashito lit the match that burnt his house down to ground, killing his parents and two younger sisters. The case was considered closed, however, after the judge apparently turned up missing. Soon after, Yashito was sent into foster care, where he would bounce from family to family until the current day.

- Background: Ben grew up in a small-town, with very little to do other than extra-curricular activities and helping out at his uncle's farm. In school, he was a mediocre academic, with passable marks all around except for Home Ec, which he sucked at. In Gym class, he excelled at competitive sports like soccer and swimming, and was in many different clubs, as much to have fun as to keep away the ever-present boredom of the small-town life. In high school, he did the same thing, and on a trip to the mountains for the football team he found a love for rock-climbing. Unfortunately, this latest obssession wound up with him falling on his face, literally, as Ben slipped and slammed face first into a rock before catching himself on a ledge. As a result, his nose is slightly crooked.
