  1. Okay, it’s been a while. Let’s crack this open! Requirements Remove the Abata clan requirement from all of them. Bloodlines are only not allowed to be transfused for mechanical reasons, and this interferes with that. Have them require either the bloodline itself (“Requirements: Avatar State bloodline.”) or a previous skill granted by the bloodline. Avatar State My suggestion here is to let a character pick Body (Taijutsu), Mind (Genjutsu), or Soul (Ninjutsu), and then their choice of Accuracy, Evasion, or Concentration. Maybe say “fuck it” and let them pick the other non-tanks as well. Later on in the bloodline, you can have abilities that function off of the Body, Mind, and Soul categories. It’s weird that the categories only come up once and never get mentioned again, it makes them a pointless distinction. That would look something like this: Avatar State wordsAndWords. Effects: The user selects Body, Mind, or Soul when they purchase the first rank of this skill, as well as one of Accuracy, Evasion, or Concentration. While Avatar State is activate, the user’s selected stat, as well as Taijutsu if they chose Body, Genjutsu if they chose Mind, or Ninjutsu if they chose Soul, are increased by 1.2X per rank in this skill they own. X is equal to the user’s level. Requirements: Avatar State bloodline. One rank may be purchased per 20 levels. Ranks: 5. Cost: -2 for the first rank, -1 for the others. If you don’t like my suggestion, that is fine, but reword your skill to the following: Avatar State wordsAndWords. Effect: The user selects Body, Mind, or Soul when they purchase the first rank of this skill. While Avatar State is activate, they increase Concentration and Taijutsu if they chose Body, Concentration and Evasion if they chose Mind, or Accuracy and Ninjutsu if they chose Soul by 1.2X per rank in this skill they own. X is equal to the user’s level. Requirements: Avatar State bloodline. One rank may be purchased per 20 levels. Ranks: 5. Cost: -1. Elementalist My man, please change the name. This bloodline heavily incentivizes the user to select Path of the Elementalist. This is going to get confusing. Otherwise, the balance is fine. Please word it as follows: nameGoesHere wordsAndWords. Effects: The user chooses one Elemental Specialty they have unlocked when purchasing a rank in this skill. The same Elemental Specialty may not be selected multiple times. While Avatar State is active, the Elemental Specialties selected through this skill have their effects increased by 50% their base value. This may not stack with similar abilities and does not apply to Jutsu Point reduction effects. Requirements: One rank may be purchased per rank of the Avatar State skill the user owns. Ranks: 5. Cost: -1. Lasting Whispers + Refined Lineage + Guardian Spirits These… are all extremely similar. My suggestion is to combine them into one skill. I don’t think I would approve the others written, I would want them to be rephrased a lot and possibly increased in cost to accommodate their rider effects. But it’s late, I don’t want to do it right now, if you don’t want to use this effect then I will get around to rephrasing them later. nameGoesHere wordsAndWords Effects: The user increases the results of their Dodge Rolls made against Chakra-based attacks by 2 per Elemental Specialty they have unlocked. This has no effects on Dodge Rolls that are 5 or below. Requirements: Avatar State bloodline. Cost: -2. New Skills This bloodline is a bit light, so I’d say you have space for more abilities if you wish. Those chance to hit and critical boosting effects that ride the other skills may be a good place to start here - I would consider attempting something like the above skill, but it instead increases the results of your opponent’s die rolls. EDIT: I just saw that this bloodline's clan has a skill that allows them to go Path of the Elementalist regardless of Base Path, which assuages my concerns below some. Stuck it in a spoiler, but I no longer care too much about how this part shakes out.

  2. Alright, the Genin versions of these have one moderator approval, so I’m taking a slight risk here and making the Chuunin versions before the first ones are approved-approved. These are just scaled up versions of the baby techs. The one with the biggest change is Budding Romance, which no longer prevents you from ignoring one of the statuses of a Charmed opponent. @fuhgahkra@Cloudnine Lemme know when you start approaching Jonin so I can make the next ones!

  3. These are some general plant techs I put together because @Cloudnine mentioned wanting some in generalchat. I lack a druid character and so won't be using them myself, but feel free to take them if you want them. The only condition is that you please let me know if you do, because I want to keep you up to date if anything changes. Also, @fuhgahkra, I was joking in generalchat the other day, you can use these xD I'll make Chuunin versions after they get approved, and Jonin as the druids actually get near that rank. I'm gonna make some more plant stuff later, but they'll probably just be main site stuff. I have no idea if the Japanese translations are any good, if you've got suggestions I'm more than open to them. The descriptions ain't great because my head is killing me, I might come back and fix them later, I might forget this exists until someone comments on them in six months. C'est la NA. Withering Grasp Dynamic Trap bonuses are equal to 8% per ninja rank of the user, so what we're looking at here is a once per battle +80 Accuracy and once per battle +60 Accuracy after the penalty kicks in, except the bonus stacks with other Accuracy bonuses past the 1.5x cap. The way this is written, it will never scale up past that, but you can still boost it up further with skills and such. I gave a slight discount to the ACC boost because this is wholly worse than just boosting your Accuracy by 80 for one turn, since this only applies to one attack, hence to 20 damage. The Genin-only restriction is because D Trap bonuses scale as you gain ranks, which can cause this to break the CP cap in half. I'm not one hundred percent sold on the Plant and Genin limits being good enough restrictions, here, but I'd like a second opinion if possible. I'll make some mitigating factors if I need to, and if you don't like this ability as it is, please suggest some too so we can get these approved for our plant buddies to have fun with. Budding Romance 20 Chakra and the loss of a potent defense felt fair for the ability to spend up to another 20 for a status effect. There is a good amount of counterplay here - your opponent decides what statuses to hit you with - so I don't think this is an issue. At Chuunin, I'll have this cost more but not lose the status effect removal, but right now the CP cap is keeping me from getting too adventurous. Will probably re-use this in my own stuff later, it's cool. Devouring Thorns Seems simple enough? If this gets app'd, I'll probably reuse the effect later in my own techs and stuff too, it's hot and I think it's not so big a deal that it's design space should be restricted.
