That's not quite what I was talking about and I apologize if it was unclear. My issue was modifying total damage, after it was reached and then taking into consideration that a technique already invested in crits was going to apply crit damage again. Given that this technique grants damage based on critis, I think it's pertinent to discuss crit damage potentiality. Regardless, I see I was approaching this too stringently. @wolfnin, I'm ready to approve it then. Since a discussion was opened up about it, I'll refrain from moving it but you may do so when you think it's settled.

My concern with Hell Stab is that if you tack on any additional crits other than the +25% increase we run into some uncharted waterst. If we push the maximum, that's 2.18x total damage. Even at the base of Hell Stab II that comes to 1.875x. We've tossed around the design philosophy before that there is no such thing as a "double crit"and if we consider crit just a stand in for increasing total damage, then we run really close if not, over that territory. So, let's take a moment to discuss total damage and revisit this!

To echo Princess' point, an empire is a high stretch for Jashinism. By and large, feudal Kaguya were very much prideful and would not be quick to ally themselves with Jashin and instead went on to resist joining Kirigakure for a while. That being said, I could see a sect of the clan turning to Jashinism, I just want to set the scope of it. I'm fine with the Defender Sect as well. It would be neat to explore more about The Deep. It could even be a location set on the Summon Plane, but I don't think all the details need to be sorted out immediately. It could be developed over time as you figure out how it enmeshes with our world but the important things are pretty much covered. A few things to think about are: how did he leave The Deep and was able to go to the surface? Can he return (I would lean to saying no, not at the moment for the story potential)? Why does he follow Jashin- was it taught to him or was it a more sincere choice? At any rate, this checks out mechanically and I'm fine with the history.
