Symphony Of Frozen Glacier

Soft exhalation pierces the twilight of indigo as the dusk sets upon the earth, cooling vapor suffocating the wintry night. The mountains, they're capped and drenched in white, powdery snow that trails towards the ground, where it explodes out in all directions, and consumes the earth. The trees, the evergreens that hardly survive the frigid chill lay beneath canopies of snow that hang heavy upon their branches, and threaten to crack them at any given moment.

It's that kind of cold.

Within this twilight, an indigo prophecy strives to obtain the secrets of the chill. Sliding feet across the iced-over sheets of snow, his movements result in pattern-like displays of graceful transport. Swirling through the snow, arms and hands loose to provide for slow, careful motion, he tests the various stages of balance that he seeks with each movement, directing his hips, chest, or legs in the areas where he feels a slight snag; this is when he changes his center of gravity, to provide for maximum efficiency and caution.

Curling his fingers into a tight fist, he smooths his left hand over it, before beginning to perform various seals. Concentration heavily, he closes his power-blue eyes, and opens them moments later, where his exhalation releases not a puffy cloud of heat, but rather, a sheet of coolness, rivaling the cold of the winter itself. Shaking the snow out of his amber hair, now unkempt due to his movements of the past hour, he sits within the pattern he had so quickly made, and withdraws a parcel from behind his vest.

Sitting before a small, flat rock, he begins to shuffle the cards out of the deck, and about in the palms of his hands. Closing those powerful eyes of his, he exhales once, then holds his breath. Index and middle finger clutches a card from the middle of the deck, slicing it in half, and places it upon the bottom, before slapping the card that had replaced it onto the rock.

'The Papess. So then, the following dowsing will result in a positive fortune concerning the events in the immediate future. I suppose that I shouldn't worry, now that I've passed the most frightening part of this process.'

He thinks to himself, inhaling deeply now that the truth had been revealed. Cutting the deck and slapping down the Tower or Death cards always proved to be an omen of unremarkable terror. Usually involved visitation of some aunt or relative. But in all seriousness, it could predict sure danger or injury, or even the latter concerning one close to the reader.

Casting one's fortune was both informative and dangerous at times. Sometimes, ignorance truly was bliss.

Striking the next card -from the top of the deck- atop the Papess, Asher holds it horizontal to the first card, before turning it over quickly.

'Direct Relation to the Hermit card. This means for sure something important will be taught to me in due time. A lesson of some sort, perhaps? Let's hope the next card clarifies this a bit more.'

He decides, striking the card from the bottom of the deck atop the Hermit, holding it vertical, to match the shape of the Hermit card perfectly.

This card, he leaves face down, for later. Removing the new middle card, he slaps it to the rock, next to the Papess, but not touching any other card, and flips it over.

'The Tower....then it is something I will be overcoming. A hindrance, maybe?'

Turning over the card he had left face down, he smiles nervously. This one would be the most useful of all. And for sure, it did clarify a bit more.

'Judgment. So, I'll be overcoming some sort of sin that I have indulged in recently? Now that I think about it, it could be nearly anyth--no...perhaps this is inferring that I wil be finding forgiveness, atonement for a sin I will commit, not one that I have commited. In that case, I should probably try once again, and see if I dowse a bit deeper into this.'

Placing a final card atop the Tower he flips it over, revealing the Chariot. Smirking, he shakes his head.

"So, I will either be atoning for my sin of victory over another, or for doing so against an underserving foe. Which means I will either dominate an innocent, or the wrong person. Great."

He mutters to himself, flustered that his prediction had not come out positive, despite it's flourishing beginning. Perhaps the lesson would result in learning something much needed, but yet- something negative would be performed regardless. It was a strange reading indeed.

"Such a strange dowsing session indeed..."

He broods, folding his arms against the chilled wind, shivering lightly. Blowing into his palms, he glances around, breathing in the night sky, and experiencing the world around him direclty. He hadn't seen such a peaceful night in ages...what could possibly disrupt it? Perhaps his reading had been wrong?

[[Testing out and trying to RP some Tarot Readings. I don't know how it really works, since I've no interest in the Occult, and sorta would like to change how it works here. If you do know how it works, PM me the details regardless, as I could use the information. Anyways, feel free to join in, I'm SO bored]]
