Zann Rath Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 (edited) Weapon Name: Orpheus Weapon size: Medium Level: 2 Effect: This weapon gives +20 to your genjutsu stat and -20 to your accuracy stat for every 2 weapon levels (This status reduction may reduce accuracy into negative values). Genjutsu you cast last 1 turn longer for every 4 item levels. This item does not extend turn duration on status effects with specific turn limitations beyond their specified turn limitations. (IE: This harp, at level 8, makes Lurking Beasts' terrify and scare effects last for 3 turns each successively, but their durations may not be extended beyond 3.) These bonuses only take place when this weapon is equipped. This item requires two hands to use. Instead of using hand seals, the instrument may be played when using any genjutsu, or when using another jutsu which require an instrument. It may be equipped with a sound amplification device and/or air pressure device. This item's level cannot be higher than your character level. Description: This harp is said to be the very one owned by Orpheus, legendary bard of greek mythology. His songs could soothe the most savage of beasts, calm the most raging of hearts, push armies to superhuman stamina, and could even charm the rocks and trees and soften the hearts of Hades and Persephone, lord and lady of the dead. It is said that when Orpheus died, he passed his powers into his beloved instrument, and it was taken up by the gods, who placed it within the bloodline of one who would eventually become worthy of it. It is roughly 2' wide and 3' tall and weighs 30 pounds. It is made of rosewood and strung with sinew, having 48 strings and stretching two octaves above and below middle C. It is equipped with a harness which holds the instrument to the user's back and is easily released for use. Its haunting melody tends to increase the effects of genjutsu, however because of its cumbersome size and weight, aiming taijutsu and ninjutsu attacks are more difficult. Nappers Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I suggest you make it -20 Accuracy per +20 Genjutsu otherwise this is going to be very pricy. Make this stat subtraction/additon be for every 2 levels not every level. For classification class it as a Medium 'weapon'. State somewhere that these stat bonusses only apply when the 'weapon' is equipped. 'Evolving item' is unnecceary.
