Seven Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Your sigs are horrible they have no coordination, please look up like a tutorial or something on how to make signatures. Its not hard, you just need an artistic eye. Please, these are horrible beyond belief, they have bad background, bad border,s bad text, text isn't even artistic, its like "rawr i lyke mudkipz" Try to think artistically, at the very least be mechanical and follow a guide.

As for everything you said...read the title...i'm a newb...Most of the things i make are going to suck horribly. I don't do coordination, thats not how i think. The text? I'm in process of dling new fonts. What's bad about the backgrounds? I don't hardly ever put in borders, and the ones i have are experimental. I know, i don't like them either. Also, don't call someone horrible until they make a sig for YOU. Because this is mostly for my tastes not yours.

Being new to something doesn't necessarily give you any excuse; you're supposed to get BETTER, not stay at the same level. Your backgrounds fail because they have nothing to do with the render. At all. =/ While you alone may think that borders fail (and sometimes they don't fit a graphic, but that is incredibly rare), but the majority of people think that borders make something look neater and more clean-cut. And since you're so adamant that these are all simply according to your taste, I'll request a sig. I'd like a simple smudge signature with a predominantly black background. There should also be a border, and the text must be easy to read whilst still blending into the sig. Go for it.

Seven Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) Let me tell you something about borders, failure to put one on is not artistic, it just either makes you look really bad for doing it, or you accidentally forgot it which is highly plausible because many people have done it but quickly fix it. So I'd suggest you always put a border unless the picture absolutely does not call for one. All you have to do to put one on is: Cntr+A, Edit>Stroke, Settings: 1px Black or White. Averius Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Yeah, it would help immensely. That sig is a bit of an improvment, I think, though. The text in it isn't a complete mismatch that stanbds out... in a bad way. I'm sure it can get better though.
