cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The inside of the house was rather small, though strangely humble in its appearance. It was only two rooms, the first of which seemed to serve as both a dining area and a general area for everything. There was a place to cook against on wall near a small fireplace like structure. A table with four chairs set around it stood in the center and off to the back was a small sliding door to another room, presumably where they slept. The man was no where to be seen, but a slight shuffling could be heard from the other room. Syaoran was the first to speak up. "So, what do we have the pleasure of having tonight?", he asked the woman humbly as she walked back to a couple of pots on a stove, the flame was already going. The woman turned and smiled. "Nothing special, just a stew we have with the fish we can catch off the shores. I hope that won't be a problem. If you want you can take a seat, it will just be a few more minutes. Luckily I had made enough.", she said, turning back to the food as she finished talking. Syaoran gave Yakato a glance, he would probably pick up on it. Why would she have made twice as much food as necessary? To anyone who was just traveling this might not seem odd at all, but Syaoran knew better. "No, that will be no problem. Thank you again for having us.", Syaoran said again in his uplift and happy tone, smiling kindly.
Azure Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 The house was nothing spectacular, but that wasn't to be expected from a seeming town built on poverty and a population that was deprived of all outside contact. Two rooms were built inside of the abode, a dining and general area. Probably used for sleeping. It was very small, but warm, in the sense that if the family were happy, it would shine a radiant ray of joy throughout the entire house hold. But with the husband's attitude, he seemed very reserved and quiet. Syaoran inquired what they would be eating, he seemed to have a thing for food, but everyone should; it's a very delicious thing, most of the time. It seemed like they were having a common entrée tonight, something cooked with fish. More specifically, stew, but for a community so small, fish would be a regular eat. "I'm sure it will be wonderful.” Yatako said as he sat down next to Syaoran. Though, when she added the part of making more than enough, it caused Syaoran and Yatako's thoughts to cross, there was something odd occurring here; why would one be making more than enough food? Leftovers are one thing, but you normally don't make twice as much to eat. He looked over to his companion, wanting to say something, but what he desired to say would endanger their cover. Though he did wonder where the man was. "Where has your husband gone? He seems like he has seniority around here, at least he's hospitable to strangers.” Yatako called out, hoping she would hear from the kitchen. He was trying to pry out any information she had, Yatako had a feeling that this man was a key for discovering the answers of the mysterious island.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Syaoran's left hand which was closer to Yatako, picked up a small napkin and then fell to his side lazily as he leaned back and looked towards the other room. No sign of the older man. Looking towards his wife who stood with her back to them Syaoran made a quick movement with his left hand which would get Yatako's attention. "Yes, your husband seems like a very nice man indeed.", Syaoran chimed in, and as he did the small napkin flashed a very faint blue and gold and a few words appeared on the napkin. Let Me Eat First Yatako would be able to read this easily and with another movement that involved Syaoran moving his hand back up to the table the napkin glowed again and the small words disappeared as he set it back on the table. "So what is life like out here? Do you see many people from the main land?", Syaoran asked, trying to get some idle conversation between them, maybe find out if they had seen any NCIA ships or personal.
Azure Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Syaoran must be a hungry boy. To the normal house host, this would seem apparent, but Yatako knew better, he was going to risk his life to depict whether or not the food contained some type of additive or poison which would explain any of the mysteries on the small little secluded island. Seeing this message painted out in blue and gold, Yatako nodded. "Oh, some people think he's too unemotional and are scared by him! I think he's out back, I don't quite know what he's doing, but I'll fetch him for dinner in a few minutes!” The wife called from the kitchen, her voice still light and happy. Yatako's eyes wandered over to Syaoran, the husband could be doing anything, it could even be a cover for something else. There wasn't proof that he was outside in the back yard or anything, but it was also entirely possible that he was over analyzing the situation, but in the end; it could be the element that saves a shinobi's life. Answering the second question posed by Syaoran, she seemed to hesitate for a moment, then assuming her own voice she retorted, "Some people here and there, but they don't stay…not too many though. And life is very quiet out here, not many people come to bother us, with only a mall community we manage. Hold on, let me go get him!” Yatako hoped Syaoran would find that she was trying to avoid the obvious War that had been happening for the past three years. No mention of shinobi, even in the visitors and why they had not returned or stayed long. The way they portrayed it to be, they were in a rush to leave. "Taihaku, dinner!” ‘Be on guard', the words Yatako mouthed secretly to Syaoran. He didn't feel safe in this situation, not the typical ‘homely' feeling.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 It would only be a few moments before the woman would walk back in, and following only a few steps behind, her husband. They would all sit down around the table as the woman went back to the stove, keeping her back to them. A moment later she came around and placed the large pot into a block of wood as her husband took a stack of bowls and a large spoon. He opened the lid to the pot and began pouring out the thick stew and handing it first to Syaoran and then to Yatako "So, where are you two from?", the man said, it was the first sign of interest in them that he had shown, his tone was a bit different from before as well. "Oh, just a small village out in the Rice Country. Russel? Not many have heard of it.", Syaoran answered simply, his obscure knowledge of the world coming in handy for once, because the village he had just stated actually existed near the border of the Country of Fire. As he did so he took his spoon and took a sip of the stew. It tasted terrible, and there was an odd after taste. Syaoran knew what was coming, and he reached up to take a second sip, and stopped, taking a sharp intake of breathe, his eyes widening a bit. He coughed a single time, the spoon falling from his hand and the bowl knocked from the table to the ground, smashing on impact. Blood came from his mouth and he fell sideways, off of his chair and onto the ground. As soon as this happened the old man had drawn a knife from his robe and held it towards Yakato, his eyes changing quickly. From the doorway there was a quick shuffling of feet and a group of men with spears and swords stood at the door while a smaller group of about five or so came in through the back and spread into the room from the back room. There were four with gray vests on, the NCIA emblem visible on their chest. This was obviously some type of elaborate ambush plot. "Give up youngin', fighting won't do you any good."
Azure Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 Near toe to toe with his wife, the man from earlier times came back in to the small little house. It was obvious that dinner would proceed soon and Yatako remembered Syaoran's text well, the food would be his sample first. In the time before the dinner would arrive, he would concoct a plan to be a good house guest, but still let Syaoran take the first bite. The wife came back with a pot, a scent of fish and the heated temperature irradiated from the pot, her husband followed with silverware and bowls. Grabing hold and pulling off the top of the pot, steam poured off the insides, plunging a wooden spoon in to the stew, he poured two large servings, for Syaoran and Yatako. The stew didn't look the appetizing, the smell even turned away his appetite, its thick texture even made it more appalling. Though, he was still required to put on a ploy, "This looks more filling that what we have left on ship!” The husband started to make small talk, simply where they came from. Though the pitch of his voice and the manner of delivery was different, strange like a peaked interest and emotion; something not before shown. Luckily, Syaoran had enough experience in the world to provide their cover. A place named ‘Russel' out of Rice Country, it was probably a factual location, seeing as though he provided it so quickly, yet with a smooth tone. But the isolated island would probably not have much knowledge of the hidden villages, let alone any small villages. Then, Syaoran proceeded to lift his spoon and dip it in to the spoon. Seeming to not question the stew, he placed the spoon in his mouth, Yatako knew he had to make a diversion in order for any suspicion to arise. "It's actually quite cozy that way, actually allowing for us to go traveling…” Yatako trailed off when he saw a sudden, sharp movement for Syaoran. He tossed his head to look at the Alchem, whose eyes were wide, coughing coming from his mouth. It was poison, noble for Syaoran to willingly test it for himself, but hopefully the poison wasn't life threatening to him. Blood exhaled through his mouth, he fell to the floor and everything coming to a crashing halt, breaking the bowl and stew to the ground. As soon as this occurred, a knife was held threateningly to the Hyuuga, feet dancing from the hallways giving the echoes faces, bodies and weapons. Swords and spears held by locals, the NCIA clad shinobi filing in. They were suspect, but perhaps were all stepped for on this island. "What did you do to him?! W-w-what's going on?!” Yatako spurted, desperately. The NCIA, they're here too. If this is indeed the Takeda clan, they have been in alliance with the Kumogakurean empire and are in fact not extinct. Though, we don't have proof of this yet, nor where the factories are. Revealing ninja status would be unwise here. Though, Syaoran would not have gone in to that plan without expecting a deadly poison, he must have something planned, or we would have already left this island. The mission details mention of a mental link, I must watch out. Yatako did the only thing that would fit the situation, play defenseless. He raised his hands, his body began to shake a small bit because of the self sustained fear he placed himself in. "O-ok, I won't, I'll go safely, but will be he ok!?” His played concern, along with his actual one revolved around Syaoran. He was firstly arrested, bound hands behind his back and a large bag was thrown over his head. A burlap sack, one that restricted all vision, to the normal people. But for this Hyuuga, opening his Byakugan would be a simple task. They couldn't see his eyes, but he could see exactly where he was going to be lead, his trail behind him and everything about the ambushers. He was lead out of the small village, through the island and eventually wound up being lead in to an NCIA base. Not a typical factory like they had been suspected to have. He could see the approaching cell, a sign to deactivate the bloodline and hide any shinobi tricks, to lead away suspicion. He was probably going to be interrogated in a few minutes, or hours. In the mean time, as a last resort; he was planning an escape. "Welcome to your new home. We won't leave you alone…for too long” one of the NCIA guards spoke as he removed the covering and shoved the Hyuuga into his cell. All he could do is wait, wait for Syaoran or the interrogation. Either way, at least he wasn't surprised by this.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Syaoran's body hit the floor hard and all he could think as he fell was one thought. 'I guess this is it...', his body hit the ground and everything went black. Yakato, Byakugan open as he was taken away, would notice that Syaoran was not taken with him. In fact, as he left the room one of the NCIA agents would kneel near the man's body and take a pulse. For a few seconds he would stay still, not moving, then he looked up at another one of the men there and shook his head, a smile playing across his face. He said some words, inaudible even though the Hyuuga could see his mouth move perfectly. Two of them would lift the body and place it in a large black bag. Yakato would near the end of his vision though as they finished closing the bag, walking out of the extent of the Byakugan. Where he was now, if he were to activate his bloodline, he would be able to see blurry images outside and into the hallway in front of his door. It would be hard to make out anything except for the shapeless images of people, not even their gender could be told. There were three other cells in this hallway and only one had another living being in it. The person was curled into a fetal position on some kind of bed, slowly rocking back and forth. Whatever this holding area was, there was something about it that caused the Byakugan to lose effectiveness while looking through it. It would not be long before a man would come to the door of the cell, opening it slowly and motioning for Yakato to follow him. His hands and feet bound so that it was impossible to even make seals, the Hyuuga would be led to a small room with a table, a single light and two chairs. In the corner of the room stood tall man, at least six and a half feet tall wearing a trench coat. He had a hitai-ate pulled over one eye and a bandanna pulled around the rest of his head. As the other guard left Yakato sitting in one chair under the light the man did not move. Even when the door closed he did not move. He merely stood there and waited for Yakato to say something.
Azure Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 It was in the few minutes that he was taken to his cell that a memory would pass by his head. Syaoran was taken in a body bag. A large, black container, hiding death in its fabric, the image of Syaoran flashed before his eyes. Though, Yatako still remained hopeful, there was still the signal. The signal they planned if ever they were separated and needed to be reunited. Quite an effective time, but it would only worry Yatako for the time he wouldn't feel the signal. The Hyuuga still felt remorse and concern for his friend when a man appeared before him, opening his cell cautiously and wordlessly motioning Yatako to follow. He proceeded to agree and followed the man, almost certainly going for interrogation or something worse. He was bound, from preventing seals, but he wasn't the one to make jutsu seals, but they weren't aware of that. He was a very tall man, dressed in a trench coat, lead them to a room fitted with two chairs and a single light. His eye wore a Hitai-Ate, a shinobi obviously and was apparently awaiting a response. Yatako twisted his face to look depressed and confused, innocent too. "What happened to him? What did we do? What's going to happen now?”
cntrstrk14 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The man did not say a word. Instead, he walked over to the table and opened his hand above it. Something fell from it with a clatter, something golden. It was a ring, and a red design was carved into it, the emblem of Iwagakure no Sato. "Your friend is dead, and he wore this." The man's voice was rough, and he need say no more than that. He would fall silent again and wait for the Hyuuga.
Azure Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 As the silent man dropped a golden ring, embellished with the symbol of Syaoran's homeland, Iwagakure to the table, as the sound clanged against the table, a spot in Yatako's heart sunk. But if anything, it could be a test, he would not jump to conclusions so soon. And blowing his cover was out of the questions, he would have to drag it from the Hyuuga. "D-dead!? But why? Is that not the symbol of the hidden village of Iwa? Why are you showing me this?” His voice was oddly confused, perhaps this was trickery, even if true, he still had to gain an understanding of this man.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The man did not say anything, he merely stood there and waited, not reacting to anything the Hyuuga said. The ring sat on the table, catching the light off of its edges. The silence was deafening, not even a shuffling of feet or the presence of another person could be felt outside of the room. Would he merely wait for the Hyuuga to break and start talking or was he waiting for something?
Azure Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 This was unexpected. The quiet man surpassed his reputation, instead of interrogating Yatako, he simply stood unaffected. Though, who would he be kidding? There was no use in Yatako saying anything truthful, it would not save him in any circumstance. The only option was to play the innocent traveler. He leaned back in his seat, still staring at the large quiet man. "I don't know who you think we are, we were just traveling. Our rations running low, we decided to try and find life on these islands.” He retold the story, cutting though the silence. Would this get the man to say a word or two? Or was he actually waiting for something. Surly if he were part of the Takeda clan, Yatako would feel some sort of infiltration, like the headache he felt earlier.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The silence hung in the room like a damp cloth, it was intolerable how quiet a single room could get. After a while though the man would simply take a step backwards away from the table and retake his stance. "Whether you want to admit that it is your friends or not, you may keep that ring. We have no use for it." And with that Yakato was back in the darkness of his cell without explanation, the only difference was that there was a small golden object on the floor in front of him, catching what little light came in from the hallway.
Azure Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 This was certainly not expected. The NCIA did not prod or poke, probe nor push the subject. They only accepted it for the time being and the man would let Yatako have the ring. Still playing very much confused, he wanted grab the ring and look at it. Apparently the man was not going to let him not have it. The appeared to be nothing wrong with the ring, when he was taken back to his cell; it lay in front of him. Catching the gleam of little light protruding from the hallway. He distinctively remembered Syaoran have a ring like that wrapped around his finger, but there was an odd piece of information. Their lies were poor, Yatako remembered Syaoran and himself stripping themselves of anything identifying themselves as shinobi. If they would have actually found his ring ,they would have found at least one of the three Konohagakure Hitai-Ates worn by the Hyuuga. There was something they weren't tell him, obviously. All he could do was wait, for one answer. He came here for proof, he simply couldn't leave yet.
cntrstrk14 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Syaoran opened a single eyes just barely, they had stopped moving and he had been placed on some hard surface, rather roughly he would add. He listened for a few moments, hearing no sounds as the footsteps left and a door closed. Taking the first breathe he had in about an hour, Syaoran felt the odd jerk of his heart starting back up, the rhythmic pumping within his chest reassuring as he felt his body heat start to rise almost immediately. Luckily, they had found it pointless to disarm a dead man, and Syaoran could easily flick out the single kunai he had on him. Unfortunately, they had taken his ring from him. He had kept it within his pocket, not on his finger. But the emblem ring of the Council of Iwagakure no Sato was far to important to him to ever be left on a ship unguarded. If there had not been so many when they searched his body he might have fought them off there and taken it back, but there had been at least nine in the room when that had happened. Cutting a hole in the bag the Alchem looked out to find he was in a pitch black room, his eyes unable to see anything. Rolling out he made a single seal and a few small specks of light floated around him, the simple firefly jutsu of Konohagakure no Sato coming in use once again. Syaoran found himself within a small single doored room with no windows, on all sides around him were small doors on the wall and the room temperature was colder than normal. It did not take much thinking for him to figure out he had been tossed into some sort of morgue. It was reasonable for them to keep all the bodies they find in a safe place, at least until they found out their identity. You could never tell when a gigantic bounty would land right under your nose. Syaoran laughed a bit to himself, if they had identified him yet they would not have left him unguarded. More than likely they would have stabbed him a few more times and taken his head as proof of the kill. Moving towards the door with silent steps, Syaoran pressed his ear against the door and listened. It was at times like these that he wished he had some type of ability like the Byakugen to see through walls. It would make moving around here so much easier. This would mean that Syaoran's main business would be to find Yatako first, if the young man did not find him first. Trying to open the door, it was locked from the outside. Frowning a bit the young Alchem pressed a finger to the nob and felt the metal shift and a soft unlocking noise could be heard. Turning the door slowly he peeked outside, seeing nothing but a dimly lit hallway and not a body in sight. About twenty minutes would pass as Yatako sat in his cell before the door would click again. This time the man from the interrogation room would walk in himself, and a burst of light would follow him, illuminating the room from an unseen source, as if there were multiple invisible light bulbs all over the wall. He held out two pieces of paper and unraveled them. On one was Syaoran's face and name, and the other was Yatako, both with small print underneath them that was near unreadable from the distance. They appeared to be NCIA wanted poster. "Are you ready to speak yet, Hyuuga Yatako?"
Azure Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 It had only been about twenty minutes time until he would be bothered again. While in this time of debating what to do, he wedged his way in to an uncomfortable position just to pick up the ring embellished with the Iwagakure symbol. He wished to inspect it. Still bound by his own chains, Yatako was in his dark and depressing cell, wondering what would happen next. His questions were answered in a timely manner, when the silent man from earlier appeared back in to the Hyuuga's cell. When the door would swing open, light would parade across the walls, brining bright lights to the room, Two pieces of paper unfolded from his hands, one with Syaoran's picture and name, the other with Yatako's. They had been found, these NCIA weren't so resourceless. Though, they neglected to kill Yatako, that would be a mistake on their part. He spoke that they had been identified, there could only be an assumed amount of arrogant boasting, even in trace amounts in his voice. Yatako shook his head, only once. "It would be pointless to deny your claims. But, speak about what exactly? You never asked me a question.” Yatako spoke in a calm, yet sly voice, a small smile reaching across his face. Before the man could do anything, at the last syllable to escape his mouth, the binds of his hands and feet were snapped, broken. While in the silent darkness, his chakra was being molded in to his bindings, heating them and making them much easier to break, through a simple show of physical strength. He feared losing the ring, in case that it actually did belong to Syaoran, tucking it away before slipping the kunai out in to a more suitable position for defense or offense, he slipped in to his fighting art. There were no more peace delegations. Syaoran would simply walk in to the dimly lit hallway, seeing not a soul on one hand, but coming from one door were a bickering bunch. Negations and monetary arguments were the talk of the day for them, the first one to leave the room was a man dressed in all white, who looked like a civilian or a scientist, two of them were civilians, carrying spears and one was just an NCIA shinobi. It didn't seem like an experienced or large bunch, but the civilian, he seemed to now his way around more than the other three, by the tone and words he used.
cntrstrk14 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The lights of the room would flicker and flow over the walls as if they were alive. Slithering like serpents against the wall they moved, leaving darkness in their wake as they flew across the floor and ceiling, stretching towards Yatako as they did. As they neared the forms of light would lift off of the surfaces and take a misty and cloud like shape, aiming to wrap and bind the Hyuuga against his will. All the while the man stood near the door of the cell, his eyes trained on his target and a single seal being held by his left hand. Syaoran would spot the men, and not wanting to reveal his location quickly came up with a diversion. Making a seal he bit his thumb and pushed his palm against the wall he was near. With a soft puff of smoke a bear coming up to Syaoran's waist appeared. Leaning down to him Syaoran spoke softly. "Reiko, I know I don't call you often but I need you quickly. There is a group of men down this hall I need you to take them out for me quickly. I will take out the ninja, I just need you to make the others run.", the bear did not say a word back, he always was ready for a fight and Syaoran could almost feel the anticipation in the young one. Reiko would turn the corner, charging in with a roar. As he did Syaoran would lean around the corner and make a few seals, sending a genjutsu at the distracted NCIA ninja that aimed to knock him out. Hopefully the others would run in fear of the bear. Either way Syaoran would try and use the moment to his advantage, either waiting for them to flee into a room or throwing a needle past them in the confusion and using it as a point to teleport to and pass on.
Azure Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 Yatako was faced with this unnamed shinobi enlisted by the Kumogakurean Empire, through an educated assumption, this shinobi must be of Jounin rank, if not stronger. Simply because they wouldn't have a Chuunin or just a promoted Jounin in charge of detaining a wanted shinobi, a danger, a threat to the entire Empire. Let alone two, but there was only one now. The Hyuuga wasn't sure what was on his file, nor was he going to spill any information to make his bounty increase even higher, even though it would be very interesting to be a high ranked wanted shinobi. In fact, it would add spice to the situation. But he was smart enough to keep that information low, at least for the time being. He was in need for an escape, a safe and preferably, a swift one. In that case, he brought to life the sleeping wonder; his boon of blood; the Byakugan. His vision shifted through the dimension of normal sight in to a scope of a parallel world, with walls that were transparent, skin like an open window. And chakra flowing like water. The man held a single seal, obviously crafting some sort of jutsu. The Byakugan was able to pick up the flying chakra off the lights, now slithering like snakes towards him, in an attempt to bind him. Unleashing the kunai hid beneath his clothes, Yatako made an attempt to swipe and slash at the light; not entirely sure if that would do anything, but it wasn't the focus of his attack. As soon as the kunai left his fingertips, he flickered in front of the man now, attempting his main assault. Hakke: Rokujuu Yonshou (Divine 64-Hit Palm Strike) The idea of this was to restrict this man from his Ninjutsu or Genjutsu use. In that case, he wouldn't be much of a threat, if Yatako were to make his escape, he wouldn't be able to use a jutsu to attack at long range. It would also prevent him from continuous use of the justu he just used. The bickering bunch had not reached a conclusion when the charging paws of a bear came bundling their way. The NCIA shinobi whirled around, but was overcome with an unforeseen force and fell to the ground, breathing, but out of consciousness. He was only a Chuunin at best, the scientist ran, not looking back to see the other two soldiers in tail, who should have really been fighting the bear. But it was a bear after all, nature's killing, heartless murderers. This would grant Syaoran the ease of moving around wherever he was. He would probably put together that he was in the basement of some sort of NCIA establishment, perhaps the base. His options now were in front of him, inspect other rooms or find a way to the ground floors, make an escape or try and find Yatako. It all depended on where he thought Yatako was right now and where Syaoran actually was.
cntrstrk14 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 As Yatako slashed towards the snake like whips of light, but his weapon passed right through them. They would stretch and reached, creating a tangle of webs between the man and him. In Yatako's speed he was able to come within arms reach of the man, but the strike that came at him would flicker through him, his body spinning and turning into light as well and disappearing into the room. The door smeared from the wall and became nonexistent and the entirety of the room stretched out and became a vast, arched room. Within the room grew pillars of large widths all along the walls and in the middle of this room was Yatako. The same strange lighting illuminated from the walls within this room, and no sooner had it been created did the same snake like whips of light stretch from pillar to wall to ceiling to floor, creating a vast web of chakra and light. The Byakugan would become hazy once again, not as much as it had when looking through the wall of his prison, but enough to strain his vision. While looking through the strings of chakra what might have once been a well defined body and chakra system would become a blob of soft glowing mass. "All I wanted was too talk... Now you have gone and made things difficult..." Syaoran would run down the hall as the men fled, looking into each doorway and room trying to find out where to go. He could hear Reiko down a hallway roaring and the yelps of the men as they fled further and further. Syaoran was not worried though, he knew if Reiko ever got into trouble he could merely recall himself back to his own plane and leave. Moving down the hall Syaoran realized that since he had been in a bag with most of his bodily functions on hold, he had forgotten to try and pay attention to how they got down here. Cursing to himself he thought of the ring and looked left and right. Closing his eyes he thought of the ring and in the back of his mind he could feel its presence, like a soft blue glow off to his eight o'clock and upwards. Though Syaoran could just teleport to the ring, it would be risky because he was not sure what was there. It might save time, but what was he to do if he ended up in a room with fifteen NCIA and just him. Syaoran then thought of Yakato and decided that wasting time was not a good idea, if he really needed to he could just come back to where he was. Crouching down Syaoran made a seal and pressed on the ground, setting a jutsu formula on the floor where he stood. Making a seal again he once more thought of the ring and with a twitch and the familiar feeling of a bungee cord being attached to his naval and pulled tight, Syaoran was pulled through the planes and sent to wherever the ring was. ooc: You can go ahead and stick Syaoran showing up anywhere you want in your post.
Azure Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 It was only until after he let go of his kunai did he realize that his attacks were passing right through the light. Even more troublesome when the silent shinobi was also transparent. It was good for Yatako, that he had used a cost effective jutsu, it hadn't drained him much at all, but that would be the least of his worries, for now. It was then, did he set off the trap, but he didn't have a teleportation jutsu like Syaoran, there was only one way in to this trap: head on. The room had faded, morphed and changed to a large arching room with the same white shining light scattered amongst the room. His vision began to haze a bit, when he tried to see throughout the entire room, the snake like strings of chakra that ran through the man now was a glowing mass of indefinable existence. There was something odd about this man, Genjutsu wasn't short of this, but Ninjutsu could also cause this. The only difference would be that the Byakugan would be able to spy through this Genjutsu with perhaps just a bit of trouble at most. He had to stay on guard, that was for certain. The voice called out to him; only leave the Hyuuga smirking a little, things just continuously got interesting. "What's stopping you from talking now? I'm listening.” It wasn't quite like he had a choice either. His guard was still up, but he assumed a more relaxed position. He was curious to what the man would ask, there was a chance that it wouldn't pertain to confessing and turning himself in. He didn't really have the option of running now. Not to what he could see. From his pocket, Yatako could feel something, a warmth, a light; he reached in to the place where he had placed the Iwagakure ring, drawing it out. At that point in time, a figure had appeared, blue and gold hues along with smoky gauze erupted and its in place stood the poisoned man; Alchem Syaoran. Smiling at the reappearance of his partner, he gave thanks for his assumptions to be true; Syaoran wouldn't dive in to danger without thinking of the outcome. Holding out the jewel to Syaoran, Yatako spoke in a cheery tone. "That was some bad stew, I take it. Syaoran! I believe this belongs to you.”
cntrstrk14 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Syaoran would appear next to Yatako, looking around quickly and taking in the situation he looked from the Hyuuga to the man in the trench coat. They were in a small cell room and the two looked as if they were prepared to fight. "Am I interrupting?", Syaoran asked with a small laugh, taking the ring that was handed to him. Yakato would notice that as Syaoran had appeared there was a few chakra strings that passed directly through him, but qu9ickly shifted around him once the man had noticed the second ninja's presence.
Azure Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Syaoran had appeared, snatched his precious ring up and replaced it on his person. The Hyuuga smiled, "No, I was just cleaning up here before we can leave.”, but some of the snaking chakra strings passed right where Syaoran stood, then abruptly stopped, and slithered to life, trying to bind him. "Wat--!” Yatako was cut short by his own problem solving. The strings passed through him, only until the shinobi saw him, did they converge on him…Genjutsu? Hah, this won't last long with the Byakugan. Now aware of the situation, that he was simply placed within a Genjutsu, he wasn't apprehensive over attacking the shinobi. For one, Syaoran was here, for another; the Byakugan rendered the Genjutsu ineffective if it tried to hurt him in any way. Yatako closed his right palm, focusing his chakra on to it. The palm of his hand began to glow a hue of white chakra. Tenrai Botsuraku; Tenketsu Tenka (Divine Ruin; Tenketsu Ignition) Syaoran would remember this jutsu, the chakra built up within his hand was let loose in a shape of an orb, the tenketsu giving birth to his chakra, streaming from his palm. It was aimed directly at the chakra source the Byakugan pinpointed.
cntrstrk14 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 The attack would be fast for the man and he would be hit by the attack, dropping backwards motionless into the ground. As he did the walls would shrink back in, the strings of chakra dissolving and the room turning back to normal. Syaoran would let out a low whistle as the man fell, his eyes tracing him as he collided with the ground. "Well that was pretty, let's get going though.", he would say, and step over the man's body and into the hallway. Outside a guard rushed forward, slashing a spear down towards Syaoran. The Alchem would swing his arm and the blade would burst into a fistful of beautiful white feathers. As the guard's eyes widened in confusion, Syaoran moved forward, spinning around and catching the man across the head with the backside of his hand, knocking him to the ground. The young man then walked over the guard and continued down the hall as if nothing had happened.
Azure Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 The deceit came to an end, his attack burning straight through the Genjutsu, knocking the man from life in general. A whistling noise came from the Alchem, all Yatako could do was smile. "I liked it too.” The Hyuuga nodded as he proceeded you step over the dead shinobi, while Syaoran met with a guard, knocking him out and continuing down the hallway. Yatako followed, next to the man as they proceeded on their escape route. Being lead here with the Byakugan, he was able to depict his steps backwards. As they were traversing through the base, an idea buzzed through his head. "Hey, Syaoran, I think we should disable or destroy this base and then would you be able to teleport us out of here? We don't really have proof to bring back, besides our own accounts, but our secondary objective was to disable the NCIA facilities.”
cntrstrk14 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Syaoran looked around a corner, checking for guards. There seemed to be a distinct lack of people here in general. Looking back at the Hyuuga he nodded. "Well, I am sure you have used your Byakugan to see ahead of us. How extensive is this place? And is there anything interesting?", Syaoran asked, waiting for an answer.
