Himoto -- Enshou

- True heir of the Muspeli, let your Einherjar blood be proof of your lineage. -

_____

User Data:

Username: Arachanox.

Posting: Almost daily.

Time Zone: Central Standard Time.

Basics about Enshou:

-Name: Himoto Enshou (ひもとえんしょう).

-Village: Konohagakure no Sato.

-Clan: Descendant of the defunct Muspeli Clan.

-Age: Fifteen years old.

-Gender: Male.

-Allegiance: Resistance [Defected from NCIA.]

Appearance and Clothing:

Height: 5'8", or 68 inches.

Weight: Just about 128 pounds.

Hair: His hair is reddish-brown with a hint of orange, resembling rust. Because he is constantly around fire, it always has a subtle smell of ash.

Eyes: Enshou's eyes are a faded blend of green and stone gray, two colors found to be predominant in the southern tip of Konoha.

Clothing: He wears simply designed clothes, usually assorted shirts and long pants that are flame resistant. Much of his wardrobe has a lingering smell of fire around it, despite his mother's best efforts to wash them clean of the smoke. Other than his pair of durable sandals and a metal armband with numerous symbols inscribed upon it, Enshou doesn't wear much of anything that looks unique.

Physical Description: While it may appear that Enshou is nothing but a slim weakling, one would be in great danger to fight him with that assumption. Being one of the Muspeli, his muscles are incredibly strong despite the fact that he has few to begin with. Enshou has no permanent scars to speak of, though he perpetually has numerous light burns on his hands and arms from training with the fiery Ringfists, Andvarinaut.

Personality and Mind:

-General: To sum up Himoto Enshou in a single, encompassing word, would be to call him awkward. Except for the few he fully trusts, Himoto usually talks to people with his head turned and avoiding eye contact. Whenever there are many people listening to him as he speaks, he can quickly become nervous and even incoherent. However, Enshou is not being fearful, for he is a very dedicated and strong individual. Despite his above-average intellect, he merely has a difficult time speaking and has less than admirable social skills. Not only does he harbor a vast amount of book information, he is also quite the fledgling tactician when it comes to the organization of battle. Though he is still young and inexperienced as a ninja, he is very dedicated when it comes to honing his physical and mental skills. Finally, though he tries to have good intentions, his anger can appear in an instant if he is provoked.

-Likes:

  • Bustling marketplaces; easy to blend in, and there's plenty of surprises everywhere.
  • A good philosophical novel with plenty of symbolism.
  • Warm summer days, which are perfect for training.
  • Hanging out with knowledgeable and dear friends.
  • The harmonics of fire and flame.

-Dislikes:

  • Talking in public, talking to strangers, talking to superiors, talking to peers, etc.
  • Cold weather, especially snow and hail.
  • Inconsiderate or otherwise unlikeable people.
  • Fishing, and mostly everything else that has to do with water.

-Favorites:

  • Food: Any of the many varieties of exotic meats and cheeses.
  • Color: A vivid burgundy.
  • Music: Anything with a piano, violins, and a flute.
  • Book Genre: Fantasy novels.
  • Animal: Cats.

First Runestone | Past of Enshou:

"Shall we spare them?" spoke Surtr, master of Muspelheim.

His mistress Sinmara, replied, "Lest they die, I will not rest."

And thus, a thousand peoples of Konoha lost their homes.

-----

Himoto Enshou was born as an only child into a family in the prosperous city of Konohagakure. From as far back as he could remember, Enshou was always drawn to fire, and could spend hours staring at candles as they burned into oblivion. His father, who was a ninja of worth as well as a weapons distributer for the Konoha army, always tried to entice his son away from fire and towards practicing something that seemed more practical: throwing weapons such as kunai and shuriken. However, it was soon apparent that Enshou was not interested in ranged warfare, and as a compromise he took the boy to his shop, allowing Enshou to choose any weapon of his choosing to train with before entering the Academy a year later. As Enshou's eyes fell over the vast array of deadly instruments, he saw exotic swords, vicious daggers, and even a morning star. When he saw Andvarinaut, however, something in him was stunned. Enshou felt like he desperately needed the pair of bejeweled gauntlets, or else he would lose part of his existence. While his father was loathe to lose such a valuable weapon from his store, he kept true to his word and gave the metal gloves to Enshou.

Andvarinaut revolutionized the way Enshou thought about fighting as a ninja. While earlier he was hesitant to train and would prefer to read the tactics and book-sense about war, once he had Andvarinaut he was constantly training in the art of punches imbued with fire. Leaving behind ninjutsu and genjutsu as fields of specialization, the eager boy focused on taijutsu so much that when his years at the Academy began, he was constantly building up his strength rather than socializing with friends. Because of this, Enshou never developed any strong social abilities and had only a few, yet trustworthy, friends. Life continued in standard fashion for Enshou, rising to the rank of gennin within the year of his entrance into the Academy. However, things began to change irreversibly once the hand of Kumo outstretched itself over the world.

The submission of Konoha and the arrival of the NCIA did not affect Enshou in any major way. Willingly following his parents' example, he joined the ranks of the NCIA so that he could continue to hone his skills as a ninja. Little did he know, that as he continued to grow stronger, his blood was purifying itself. Old memories from ages gone would begin to surface, and he would become abnormally destructive in his physical strength. His fire would burn indefinitely as the flames of the Muspeli did years ago. And yet, before all of this, an important piece was missing - one last key would be necessary before the Blood of the Einherjar truly awoke.

When it is found, however; a broken lineage would thus be reborn.

60px-Elementalist-tango-icon-200.png Blood of the Einherjar (勇敢のの血)

Effect: This skill starts at rank one and paying skill points alone will not cause it to increase. Whenever certain tasks are performed or events occur, a percentage called "Einherjar Insight" increases. Whenever this percentage reaches 100%, it loops back to 0% and you may gain the next highest rank. The following events that increase Einherjar Insight are:

  • Completing a mission adds X% to Einherjar Insight, where X is equal to 10 times:
    • D-ranked mission = 1.
    • C-ranked mission = 2.
    • B-ranked mission = 3.
    • A-ranked mission = 4.
    • S-ranked mission = 5.

[*]Leveling up adds 10% to Einherjar Insight.

[*]Attacking in a life-or-death battle with a fire jutsu (whether your hit or not) adds 5% to Einherjar Insight.

Players must keep track of their Einherjar Insight in their character sheets and link to wherever they gain percentages.

Whenever you use a fire jutsu or a jutsu that has a combinatorial element containing fire, you do not use the standard stat modifier but instead one based upon your rank in this skill:

ConsumingFlamesofLoki5.jpg

This means that you do not get 5 damage for every 20 stat, but rather you get 5 damage for every X amount of your new modifier. This skill does not work with genjutsu.

Ranks: There are 10 ranks, each rank costing 3 skill points.

Current Rank: Two.

Percentage Links:

Total Einherjar Insight: 80%.

Other Skills:
Sealed Genjutsu

Effect: Cannot use any Genjutsu techniques.

Points: +2.

Jutsu of Enshou:

-----

Smoldering Fist (くすぶる握りこぶし)

Type: Taijutsu.

Rank: Gennin.

Cost: 60 stamina.

Damage: 13 damage.

Effects: Target is "Stunned" for one turn. May only be used once per battle by Gennin, three times by Chuunin and six times by Jounin.

Description: This unique fist technique was developed by the second generation of the Muspeli in order to quickly incapacitate dangerous foes. By rushing forwards with an overly aggressive stance and anger, a ninja could effectively frighten the enemy into lowering their defenses, making the titanic punch throw them into a state of disorientation.

Points: 3 JP.

Inner Fire (内部の火)

Type: Taijutsu.

Rank: Gennin.

Cost: 60 stamina.

Damage: 13 damage.

Effects: The enemy has a "Full Opening" for Smoldering Fist.

Description: Taking a brief moment to calm oneself in the middle of a heated battle, this type of meditation can help a Muspeli to regain a focused composure. After he has concentrated on his target and visualizing how he will injure it, he can then take the plan into action with deadly accuracy and overwhelming flames. Such intense concentration by a son of Surtr also causes a wave of heat to expand, causing minor burns to foes in the area.

Points: 3 JP.

Exhalation of Surtr (Surtrの呼吸)

Type: Response Phase Taijutsu.

Rank: Chuunin.

Cost: 120 stamina.

Damage: None.

Effects: You take 90 less damage from a ninja's incoming attack and that enemy suffers from "Burned" for two turns. This technique may only be used thrice per battle on jutsu of equal or lesser rank, you lose your Main Phase, and you must be wielding Andvarinaut.

Description: Combustion, or fire, is known for its ability to generate extreme pressures under the right circumstances, and the Muspeli of old times recognized this. Particularly Surtr, ancient lord of Muspelheim, who could use sheer willpower in conjunction with Andvarinaut in order to create the unique structure of flame needed to produce large amounts of pressure in a short amount of time. In battle, Surtr would concentrate fully on one of his hands and create a small, compressed sphere of fire in his palm and then grip it in a fist. After injecting even more raw energy into it, the sphere would become highly unstable under the immense pressure and naturally seek a way to escape and expand. It was at this point that Surtr would merely hold up his fist towards an enemy and open it, fingers outstretched in the foe's direction, and release the combustion as a rapidly expanding cloud of hatred which accelerated forwards. This wave of energy had the potential to not only repel enemy attacks or at least slow them down, but also to cause severe burns on the enemy. Because of its resemblance to the breath of a dragon, it became known as the Exhalation of Surtr, and the technique was passed down through his family tree and eventually embedded into their blood.

Points: 4 JP. (costs 8 because it was bought at gennin rank)
