Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Restrictions: Must have taken one of these skills; 'My Way of the Ninja!' , 'Guts Pose!' , 'Hooray for the Big Boned People!' , 'Stroke of Genius!'. You're going to have to add that it may not be used in conjunction with the aforementioned skills.
abeiros Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) Why? Some of the principles are based off of those skills[description wise] Edited August 5, 2008 by Apple
Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Because the root skills themselves don't stack effects. Meaning, if you used My Way of the Ninja, you'd have to wait until the next time (In the same battle) that you were dropped below 10% HP to activate Gut's pose. Simplified: Ninja A drops to 9% HP. Activates Hooray for the Big Boned people and is restored to 19% HP. Ninja A drops back to 9%. He may now activate one of the other 'less than 10% HP' skills. If it were to remain as is, a person that drops below 10% HP can: Restore 10% of their total HP with Hooray!, and then may continue to fight until they drop to -10% or more. This effectively gives the player +20% of their total HP. If they're an HP stacker, imagine what that could amount to? 200 HP? 500? And then, if they're a tai stacker, they could continue to dish out massive amounts of damage without jutsu, AND may activate the gates, further increasing survivability.
abeiros Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) Activating the gate would result in lowering the health even more :0 Heh, but I see what you mean, I'll add it in. On a side note, I just noticed that a medic has the highest succes rate of using all those 4 skills in one battle :x Edited August 5, 2008 by Apple
Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 This should probably be -3+, considering it totally bends current rules. Otherwise, It'd be nice to see it changed so that it only allows you to fight for that last -10% of your HP.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Balance-wise, I see the reasoning behind this, but logically, Why do they stop being able to use techniques and bloodlines? Furthermore, you should add hospital recovery time, considering that this is pushing a character's body far beyond its limits.
Warr Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hospital Recovery time is a definite need for this skill, simply because of the damage it could take which the user could survive. Everything is pretty much approvable after that is added, though let me state something real quick as well. The Clause about having any of those skills did the same thing as your mention. Not having means you can't activate it because you can't even have it with this skill.
abeiros Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 I simply wanted to recreate those moments where two shinobi are at their limit, where their life simply rests in the balance on those last few small attacks. At near death, and end of a battle, do you really expect a normal shinobi to have complete full chakra and stamina? No, they would be exhausted, and continuing such feats would bring them most likely closer to unconciousness or death. Though I think I will add one other thing in their, and edited hosipital time.
