Even at that point she fought against the ugly fact that her parents wanted her to be a girly girl. As she grew, her mother would buy expensive frilly dresses only to be confronted with a dirty look from her daughter. The dresses never lasted long. They would be smothered in whatever grimy the young girl could find. Torn to shreds once she discovered how to use scissors. And even “accidently" set ablaze in the kitchen. Aki's disgust in frilly things only grew as she did, as did her already strong will and opinionated mind. Her first words were not the regular “momma" or “dadda". They were simply, “No more dresses." From then on, it became almost a mantra, much to the distress of her mother. Hana only wanted a beautiful little girl that would stay at home and wear all the pretty little things that Hana could not wear as a child. It was unfortunate, but Hana finally gave into Aki's will and stopped buying dresses. But she never stopped buying bows. --Beginning The Academy-- Aki was seven years old when she first enrolled into the Ninja Academy. Her mother was strictly against it, but her father saw no harm in it since Aki was a Hyuuga after all. It was her duty to the clan to master the Byakugan and uphold the family's honor. Aki was thrilled with that declaration, but was dismayed by what followed it. Kenji went on to say that because she was a girl, she would take on the medical path. This put a damper on things, and at this point Aki spoke up and voiced her opinion. Her parents still don’t know where she learned the phrase “Oh Hell NO!” at such a young age. After laying into both her parents for a good fifteen minutes she decided for herself that she would follow the path of a warrior and not a medic. It was soon after that, that she was enrolled into the Academy, but it didn’t last long. --NCIA Plight-- Halfway through her time at the Academy, the NCIA plight began. Her family had been warring against each other for as long as she could remember, but because of her distant cousin Yatako, they finally became one solid family, no branch or main families, just a family. With that, they began to fight for their country. Even her mother and father fought against the NCIA. it was honestly the first time she ever felt a true admiration for either of them. A group of NCIA enemies managed to find their way near Aki once. In less than a second, both her parents were on them. Aki had never seen her mother move in such ways, nor her father. The way they both coordinated perfectly with their Byakugan activated, they were simply unstoppable. The NCIA enemies were down for the count within seconds. Their tenketsu sealed by the Gentle Fist technique. The stories that Aki heard of the war gave her a resolve even greater than the stubbornness she was born with to become a strong member of the clan and protect it just as her parents protected her. --Return To the Academy/Graduation-- After the NCIA struggle had finally come to an end, Aki was sent back to the academy. More than ever, all the students put an effort into their schoolwork. They knew and witnessed the horrors of war and some of them made choices that would effect their shinobi career right then, while other simply quit. Aki was among the ones to plan her future according to a plan she had made during the war. Never once did she give anything less than her all in school. It was lucky for her that she was a fast learner and very observant to details. It was a simple matter of only practicing and perfecting the three jutsu required to graduate. The enhanced vision can be extended to about 20 meters around the Hyuuga, allowing them some ability to evade attacks directed at them. There is also some increase in insight bestowed, allowing them to see through minor Genjutsu with little effort. Cost: (-2) Byakugan Vision - Rank 1 This character Base Accuracy, Evasion and Concentration are considered to be incresed by 2x (where x is equal to their level). Additionally, the minimum value for x is considered to be 20. AoE Jutsu may also be dodged as a normal attack. Byakugan Focus - Rank 1 Genjutsu targeting the user performed by Ninja of equal or lesser rank than the user apply 80% Ghost Damage, Effects, and Duration (rounded to the nearest whole number). Formula Mind Bloodline: Hyuuga Description: While the medical shinobi of the Hyuuga clan may be revered, that is by no means to say that the warriors of the clan are weak. They are still some of the most fearsome shinobi known and for a very good reason. They learn many jutsu quickly, giving them tons of options. However, they tend to overlook precise chakra ratios and needlessly waste chakra. Special: (Overload) If taken with Ironbound, then the increased cost of all jutsus is lowered by the amount it would be raised per a rank, without stacking. Only applies if character has equal ranks of Ironbound and Formula Mind. Rank 1 Effects: Character gains an additional Jutsu Point whenever a level is gained. Cost of all jutsus is increased by 10. Cost: -1 Ironbound Bloodline: Hyuuga Description: The warrior shinobi of the Hyuuga clan are taught to utilize the pain and anger from being wounded and use it to make them fight far harder than any other type of shinobi ever could. This is used to great effect during battle to outlast most hostiles while retaining the ability to constantly strike back. Special: (Overload) If taken with Formula Mind, then instead of taking additional damage, the character takes lessened damage equal to the amount it would be increased by the rank, without stacking. Only applies if character has equal ranks of Ironbound and Formula Mind. Rank 1 Effects: Whenever this character takes damage from either Taijutsu or Shojutsu, they gain 10% of that damage back as Stamina. Whenever this character takes damage from either Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, they gain 10% of that damage back as Chakra. Character takes an additional 5% damage from all attacks. Cost: -2 Personal Skills: Hyuuga Style Puppetry Bloodline: Byakugan [Personal; Hyuuga Aki] Description: Through sheer ingenuity and dumb luck, Aki has made a breakthrough in her control of chakra during her use of the Byakugan. By lengthening the tiny bursts of chakra a Hyuuga fires into an opponent, Aki has made her own form of puppetry by attaching these chakra threads onto her weapons. If an opponent dodges a kunai, she pulls on the thread to reverse its direction and send it flying at the opponent again. Effect: When Aki throws a basic Small Weapon, her accuracy is increased to 1.x its base, where x is equal to her rank in this skill(cumulative accuracy increases may not allow her accuracy to increase beyond 1.5 times its base.)for this attack only. Once Per Rank, If a target would successfully dodge a basic attack made with a Small Weapon, they must instead roll again and accept the result of the second roll; if the Small Weapon is blocked or successful in hitting its target, no second roll is made. I believe I'm good to give you the first Approved! Good job, by the by! I definitely think this is one of the better first characters that I've head the pleasure of reviewing.
