When not in times of battle, Kenji wears a pair of glasses, and sometimes wears a pair of black gloves to protect his hands from the recoil of his Yo-Yo attacks. -Physical Description: Kenji is a fairly lean, though surprisingly athletic young boy with a typical build for a kid his age. Since he grew up running and carrying heavy objects for deliveries, he actually has developed a slight muscle tone. He spikes his hair up and wears relatively loose clothes for comfort. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Persona~ Personality: Kenji is a fairly level-headed kid. He is quite responsible for his age (given his role attending to his family's store), and seeks to complete any duties he's given as quickly and efficiently as possible. Being raised in a service-oriented household, he always tries to be as polite and considerate to strangers as much as possible. Kenji's overall temperament is very similar to the average teenage boy, though his sheltered past has led him to be far more naive about ninja-related issues than most other ninjas his age. As a habit, Kenji always does what he can to spruce up his day to day life, be it gamifying every task he has, to doing Yo-Yo tricks in his idle moments. He carries his Yo-Yo with pride, taking as many opportunities as possible to show his friends various amusing tricks. He is always doing what he can to fill his life with new experiences and make up for his uneventful past. He wasn't born into a notorious clan, raised as a ninja prodigy to take the reigns as the leader of his people. He wasn't some kid with a valuable bloodline, targeted by the fiercest ninjas in the world. No, Kenji was just a normal kid born into a middle-class family, living in a humble home. Nothing about Kenji was particularly "special". Kenji was raised by loving parents who owned a general store in Kumogakure. On a day to day basis, he would run deliveries, carry cargo to/from the store, and attend to any customers that came in. Even during the Kumo Empire War, his family was fairly unaffected, being so distanced from the ninja world. Because of such monotony, Kenji would do what he can to turn each task into a game or training session. How fast could he run to deliver his package? How much weight could he carry at once? He'd bring himself to the limits of his capabilities as much as possible, just to give him something interesting to do each day. When he discovered that the Kumo ninja academy open for new students, Kenji leapt at the opportunity to apply. It was a bit of a struggle to get accepted, since he really didn't have any discernible fighting skills. However, after proving his basic athleticism and general enthusiasm for learning, Kenji was finally accepted. Unfortunately, upon joining the ninja academy, it was evident that Kenji was not quite as advantaged as the other students. Clan Jutsus, bloodlines, inherited traits, they were everywhere! The other kids seemed to have natural talents they were born with, or trained all their life to learn. Kenji initially thought he didn't have any talents that could possibly compare, though perhaps he did have one thing... If Kenji had a natural talent, it was his Yo-yo skills. Given a set of "indestructible" steel Yo-Yo's by his grandfather when he was a young kid, he had grown an intense fondness towards the stringed toy. He was fascinated by its ability to zoom through air as quickly and lightly as a shuriken. He loved how gracefully the Yo-Yo can maneuver, to loop around, to strike hard if need be, and return to him at his command in just an instant. In between running errands for his family's store, he spent every spare moment learning tricks and teaching himself how to manipulate his Yo-yo to his every whim. In fact, after so many years of usage, it has became a subconscious extension of Kenji's body. He knew he was the best at this one thing, at the very least. With this revelation, Kenji began to find his niche within the academy, learning to incorporate chakra manipulation to further enhance his control over his Yo-yo and allowing its usage as a heavily specialized weapon. He now carries his Yo-Yo like a badge of pride, knowing that not many people would choose to use such a feeble-looking toy as a weapon. Kenji did. Kenji's primary weapon is his Yo-Yo.
