Cellar Door Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Okay, basically I'm resubbing No Element and Monochromatic to make them up to date. No Element has two ranks now, because it's super unfair to take away both Sand and Wind from Suna character, and give them only the +1 that a Konoha kid also gets for just giving up Fire. I weakened what Monochromatic was and reduced it down to 1 skill point. And then I made another one that removes both elemental specialties. No Element Effect: Characters with this skill begin play with 1 less ‘Subtle Elements’ or ‘Combinatorial Element’ skill. Description: Not all ninja are built equally, and while each village has their own traditional elements that see much use, there are always the oddballs within those villages who don’t seem able to grasp the basics of how to perform techniques of their homeland. Ranks: 2 Cost: +1 Singular Affinity Effect: Characters with this skill may only gain 1 Elemental Specialty at level 45. Description: The shinobi world brims with chakra, and the nature of chakra is fluid, allowing many to combine their chakra and mold it to create elements. Some ninja are so gifted as to be able to form all of the elements within their body, but transversely, some ninja struggle to even gain an affinity for a single element. Cost: +1 Affinity-Less Effect: Characters with this skill do not gain Elemental Specialties. Characters with this skill may not have the skill ‘Singular Affinity’. Description: There have always been odd-balls in the ninja world. Most often defective shinobi are weeded out, and culled from the herd during their time at the academy to ensure that only the most suited to the profession move on to being full-fledged ninja, but sometimes a crippling handicap doesn’t become apparent until later in life, as is often the case with shinobi who are unable to find an affinity with any element. Cost: +2
