Shinjutsu no Kagami|Mirror of Truth|真実の鏡

A bloodline unlike any other, the Shinjutsu no Kagami contains a wealth of truly terrifying techniques which can drain the very lifeforce from an unfortunate victim, then animate a replica to stand in for them. These replicas, reflections of the stolen spirits the Rinha have harvested. Bringing life to them, the Rinha can create copies of their greatest friends and foes, altering the swing of power on the battlefield immensely.

Restrictions: Only available to Rinha characters.

Bloodline Traits:

Rinha Chakra Storage I:
Effect: Characters with this skill gain 1 additional tank statistic called ‘Absorbed Chakra; a’. This statistic is considered to be 0 when acquired, and may never total more than 100. This statistic may only be added to through the skill ‘Rinha Chakra Absorption’. ‘a’ for the purposes of this skill is considered to be the name of a character damaged by the user (See; Rinha Chakra Absorption). While the ‘Absorbed Chakra; a’ statistic has an amount greater than 0, it may not contain chakra absorbed from any character other than ‘a’. Absorbed Chakra is not Chakra, and is never treated as such by any source, thus cannot be used to pay for techniques unless they specifically state they use Absorbed Chakra.
Description: Most ninja possess a relatively straight forward chakra circulatory system. At their core sits the source of their chakra, which follows the pathways throughout their entire body. The Rinha, on the other hand, possess five such wells of power known as ‘chakra vaults’. Though their core chakra reserve remains the same, there are four external vaults which, with the absorption of chakra, can be filled. At an early age, the Rinha learn to utilise the first of these vaults, and channel their stolen chakra to fuel their most powerful abilities.
Cost: -2

Rinha Chakra Storage II:
Effect: Characters with this skill gain 1 additional tank statistic called ‘Absorbed Chakra; b’. This statistic is considered to be 0 when acquired, and may never total more than 100. This statistic may only be added to through the skill ‘Rinha Chakra Absorption’. ‘b’ for the purposes of this skill is considered to be the name of a character damaged by the user (See; Rinha Chakra Absorption). While the Absorbed Chakra; b statistic has an amount greater than 0, it may not contain chakra absorbed from any character other than ‘b’.
Additionally, the maximum value of Absorbed Chakra in all Absorbed Chakra tank statistics is increased by 100.
Description: As the Rinha grow in power, so to does their ability to store and utilise their siphoned chakra. With the unlocking of a second vault, the Rinha are able to spread their stolen chakra across two different sources, allowing for even greater reflections. Furthermore, their intense training has expanded their body’s potential to store the stolen chakra, significantly increasing the capacity of their chakra vaults.
Requirements: Rinha Chakra Storage I, Chuunin Rank
Cost: -2

Rinha Chakra Storage III:
Effect: Characters with this skill gain 1 additional tank statistic called ‘Absorbed Chakra; c’. This statistic is considered to be 0 when acquired, and may never total more than 100. This statistic may only be added to through the skill ‘Rinha Chakra Absorption’. ‘c’ for the purposes of this skill is considered to be the name of a character damaged by the user (See; Rinha Chakra Absorption). While the Absorbed Chakra; c statistic has an amount greater than 0, it may not contain chakra absorbed from any character other than ‘c’.
Additionally, the maximum value of Absorbed Chakra in all Absorbed Chakra tank statistics is increased by 100.
Description: With access to their third vault, the Rinha possess truly terrifying power. Able to store the chakra of three enemies to use with their abilities, the Rinha develop into a one-man team, holding their own through numbers and versatility in situations they could not hope to fight through alone. Furthermore, their continued training once again increases the strength of their vaults, crafting even greater reflections and fuelling even more powerful techniques.
Requirements: Rinha Chakra Storage II, Jounin Rank
Cost: -2

Rinha Chakra Storage IV:
Effect: Characters with this skill gain 1 additional tank statistic called ‘Absorbed Chakra; d’. This statistic is considered to be 0 when acquired, and may never total more than 100. This statistic may only be added to through the skill ‘Rinha Chakra Absorption’. ‘d’ for the purposes of this skill is considered to be the name of a character damaged by the user (See; Rinha Chakra Absorption). While the Absorbed Chakra; d statistic has an amount greater than 0, it may not contain chakra absorbed from any character other than ‘d’.
Additionally, the maximum value of Absorbed Chakra in all Absorbed Chakra; tank statistics is increased by 100.
Description: With the opening of the final chakra vault, there is little beyond the capacity of the Rinha to do. Their stolen chakra overflows to summon up a legion of reflections, or unleash unstoppable techniques lesser ninja cannot hope to stand against.
Requirements: Rinha Chakra Storage III, Sennin Rank
Cost: -2

Rinha Chakra Absorption:
Effect: Characters with this skill gain 1 ‘Absorbed Chakra; a’, 'Absorbed Chakra; b', 'Absorbed Chakra; c' or 'Absorbed Chakra; d', for every 2 damage dealt with a physical attack. Absorbed Chakra gained is of the same name as the character who suffers the damage.
Description: The source of the Rinha’s power. Though their chakra vaults store stolen chakra, without the means to claim it, they serve no purpose. By delving into forbidden techniques from ages past, the Rinha can learn to siphon a fraction of their foe’s lifeforce, channeling it into their vaults and making it their own.
Cost: -3

Rinha Spirit Reflection Mastery:
Effect: Clones created by the technique
‘Spirit Reflection Technique’ or 'Perfect Spirit Reflection Technique' gain an additional +5% the total stats of the character they created from. Ranks in this skill may only be taken every 10 levels.
Description: The reflections created by the Rinha are powerful creations in their own right, but often stand as a pale comparison to the original source of the chakra from which they were birthed. By increasing their understanding of how the reflections function, are made and interact with the world around them, the Rinha can focus their efforts more directly, vastly increasing the prowess of their reflections and bringing them up from simple imitations to truly devastating instruments.
Ranks: 5
Cost: -1

What does "Power" do?

And... what purpose will controlling a puppet in the same country, but not the same thread as you do? It doesn't seem like something we would allow to battle with- as you could do life/death battles at virtually no risk to yourself. No bueno.

Power is used for fuelling rinha jutsu. Added a clarification of exactly what power does in the spoiler at the end of the post, and added some clarification to the techniques themselves.

And yes, you can life or death without risking yourself, but if you're not there to take them with you your puppets will be captured and dismantled. Operating them from far away is good if you can win, but should they be defeated that's hundreds of dollars of investment lost, especially for those higher level puppets. I'd be open to some sort of feedback mechanism, whereby a portion of the damage dealt to distant puppets is dealt to the puppeteer, so as to make it unlikely a single puppet fighting far away will kill you, but using multiple puppets at a distance can take you down, plus the significant cost of replacing lost puppets, I think that's more balanced?

So I have a few ideas I'd like to suggest to help you out with your bloodline, but let's start with my first question. How does one gain points into their 'Power Statistic'?

Rinha Hunger & Devourer

Review: The effect seems okay-ish. The price is still up in the air, but I do believe that you should break the Power effect into its own skill and have the gaining of ‘Power’ (can you find a better name for that? It’s super bland.) be the central skill involved in the whole bloodline. So, in summation here, branch the effect that gives you “Power” into its own skill, and combine the +chakra damage effect into one skill with 2 ranks.

Rinha Puppetry & Theatrics & Ascendancy & Apotheosis

Review: Um, the first two of these are almost identical. Could you enlighten me on the difference? Also, I feel like the Rinha are so different that they barely even use Kugutsu No Jutsu when controlling their puppets. It might just be me, but I might remove the jutsu from the equation itself and make it so their bloodline allows them to autonomously control things like that. Something to do with their chakra and what-not. We’ve had several bloodlines in the past that did very similar things. If you want help coming up with a draft for a change like that let me know.

I personally would make it so that when they activated their bloodline, they just kind of brought puppets to life. A clan called the Kizai used to do that with machinery on NA. So, I have a feeling you could make it work with a little tweaking. I may also do something where you can make Power be the catalyst for them. I don’t know. If you want to do some brain storming with me at some point we can come up with a more… consolidated idea.

When I read your bloodlines I feel like they’re kind of all over the place, both aesthetically and conceptually, and it’s not that they’re bad, it just makes them a little hard to follow. So, discussing this one on one at some point might help me get an idea of what you want to accomplish.

Reworked to simplify it. Everything is here in the bloodline, no running off to a million apps to see what does what. You have Ichor (New name for Power), which you gain in the same way as before. The Homonculous (New thing, replaces puppets) has all its rules listed here. As before, the idea is to end up with multiple copies all over the world, or lots in one place as suits your needs, but this is now very clearly stated in numbered skills. Everything should be much easier to read, but of course if there's any questions I'm happy to answer them.

This has now been updated to be in line with the suggestions made by KC. Naturally, he can't approve this anymore, but if he has more comments to help iron it out I'm open to them.

Rinha Chakra Storage II through IV: You need SP costs.

Rinha Chakra Absorption: Should this clarify that it is damage dealth with physical attacks to the named player?

Rinha Spirit Reflection Mastery: I'll need a link to this technique.

SP costs added to Chakra Storage.

Clarified that Absorbed Chakra; X comes from the character who takes the damage, so things like Saviour would redirect it, and it's all clear what is coming from where.

Also added links to the techniques, and added the final level of the Spirit Reflection technique since it is a different technique, and was originally omitted as its creation post-dated the rewrite in here.

Should all be good now^^

"Requirements: Shinjutsu no Kagami" Unsure what this means, kind of circular. You already have a Requirements at the top, you probably can just remove this.

Rinha Spirit Reflection Mastery: I would say half the ranks of this and you can make each rank -1 SP instead.

Otherwise looks pretty okay.

Alright, do believe I made the changes you requested. Due to the cap of clones now being 75% of the source instead of 100%, I might lower the cost from 800/400+400 to 750/375+375, though we can work that one out in the technique thread. Cheers Tony^^
