The Original

Kameryuu Ryu; Nami no Ojike (Turtle Dragon Type; Wave of Fear)
Type: Water Genjutsu
Rank: Genin
Cost: 66
Effects: Scared for 2 turns, half opening for Kameryuu Ryu; Ma Nami; the opponent's resistance is at twenty less than what it would otherwise be as stat subtractions work (meaning for the next turn).
Description: Forming a pair of simple hand seals, the user breaths in and out twice, before moving as if to spit the opponent, and then hitting their senses with a feeling (aided by splashes of real water, quite oftenly) as if a large water of wave swooped in behind the user, and swallowed up the opponent up, forcing them under the water, and with another wave coming in, closely.

This in combination with the opponent's memory of such things make the opponent believe they are going to drown to death if they don't get away from this water, and this Umikoi.
Points: 4 JP

This in combination with the opponent's memory of such things make the opponent believe they are going to drown to death if they don't get away from this water, and this technique's user.

The Original

Umikoi Warrusu Ton; Suigetsu no Zokugai Ishi (Umikoi Warrusu Type; Killing Intent of the Liquid Moon)
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Jounin
Cost: 300
Effects: The Effects of this technique vary with the rank of the shinobi-nin being attacked by it's rank in comparison to the user's. For all purposes and intents, this jutsu has one 'seal', pointing at the target with their pointer finger, their thumb bent as if pulling back the hammer, and the rest of their hand put into a knuckle.

Shinobi-nin whom are three ranks (Or 50 levels) less than the user of this technique are dealt "Petrified" for 3 turns, Stunned for the First Turn, and Sickened for 3 turns.
Shinobi-nin whom are two ranks (Or 30 levels) less than the user of this technique are dealt "Petrified" for 2 turns, Stunned for the First Turn, and Sickened for 2 turns.
Shinobi-nin whom are one rank (Or 15 levels) less than the user of this technique are dealt "Petrified", "Stunned", and "Disorganized" for a turn.
Shinobi-nin whom are of the same rank of the user of this technique are dealt "Stunned", and "Disorganized" for one turn after this jutsu is used.

Description: Harnessing a trademark of his village, Warrusu pointed towards his opponent with his pointer finger, his thumb bent as if to pull back the hammer of a gun, and the rest of his hand put into a knuckled fist. Seeping Chakra from his pores, the Umikoi youth looks to the opponent with eyes which are filled throughout with killing intent, and malice. His chakra aimed to intensify both this feeling and his perceived level of power, the opponents whom come across this technique are often disturbed by the actions of it, as is the motion.

A divine fear bringing distraction. One that's been known to make Gennin defaecate themselves.

Designer's Notes

The first two are simple enough updates of the originals. You can find the techniques they now effect here. The third was at one point kind of complex (and more a roleplaying thing than anything else) but I decided to make it a real properly combative genjutsu, so that 400 Stat points into genjutsu aren't wasted, and so that the level that Warrusu holds Kirigakure's 'values' can really be seen.

He's already the cruelest Hachinin and we know this.

Original Math for Nami no Ojike: Scared (Fear Stage 1) for 2 turns (20 CP) + Half Opening for [Kameryuu Ryu; Ma Nami] = 40CP = 60CP total. The missing part of the original math seems to be what the ratio of reductions was for genjutsu at the time, as I don't remember, but it doesn't really matter.

New Math for Osore Nami: Scared (Fear Stage 1) for 2 turns (20 CP) + Full Opening for [umikoi Hiden Ogi; Shin Nami] = 60CP (20+10 x 4JP = 60). =80CP total.
Original Math for Nami no Ojike II: Petrified (Fear Stage 4) for 2 turns (80 CP) + Half Opening for [Kameryuu Ryu; Ma Nami II] = 50CP = 130CP total.

New Math for Osore Nami II: Full Opening for [umikoi Hiden Ogi; Shin Nami II] = (20+10 x 5JP = 70) = 70CP + Afraid (Fear Stage 2) for 3 turns = 60 CP = 130CP.

New Math for the Redesign of Killing Intent of the Liquid Moon: Petrified (Fear Stage 4) for 3 turns = 150CP. Stunned for 1 turn = 50 CP. Sickened for 2 turns = 60 CP. Startled for 2 turns = 20 CP. Staggered for 2 turns = 40 CP.

150CP + 50 CP = 200 CP. 200CP + 60 CP = 260 CP. 260 CP + 20 CP = 280 CP. 280 CP + 40CP = 320CP.

Can we have a link to the tech that the first one Full Opens into?

The link is for both. In Warrusu Updates #3. Right here you can find the tech it full opens into. They're tech #2 and tech #3 respectively in that thread.

First two seem fine, but..

"The Effects of this technique vary with the rank of the shinobi-nin being attacked by it's rank in comparison to the user's. For all purposes and intents, this jutsu has one 'seal', pointing at the target with their pointer finger, their thumb bent as if pulling back the hammer, and the rest of their hand put into a knuckle."

seems to have no relevance in the rest of the effect at all.

Yep, that whole blurb should probably go in the description, unless you're wanting to do something like "This technique may be performed with only 1 hand as if the user possesses the skill 'One Handed Sealing'" in which case, you could remove 80% of the verbiage and just say that.

Was mostly trying to say that, but also describing how it is done. Will edit that into the effects and also the other into the description instead of effects.

Edit:

Done.

First two are fine.

The third one needs to go up in cost a bit now that we've got that squared away. 280 is the full cost of the effects, I'd say since it's half of a sealless tech it should cost 1.25x instead of the standard 1.5 as sealless go.

So call it 350 Chakra and 8 JP and you've got apps on all three.

That's done, has been done.

Bump.

Should only need one more approval.
