tygerin Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Name: Toki no Utsujōtai | 時の鬱状態 | Temporal Stasis Type: Genjutsu [Elemental Archetype: Lightning] Rank: Jounin Cost: 235 Effects: The target suffers three [3] turns of Slow & Hypothermia:1, along with Fazed effect on the first turn. User gains two [2] turns of haste Description: The ninja performs the hand seals to create access within the mind of the target; gaining this through synchronizing with the bio-electric firing of the target’s neural network. The target’s heart slows the circulation of blood throughout the body as with the commands from the brain to the muscles, all the while the brain processes the images received from the eyes at a slower rate. As the chills along their body increases, they notice that the speed of their opponent starts to eclipse them. Points: 6 Fazed Your Turn Order is increased by 60 - 10x, where x is your ninja rank. You may only be Fazed once per attack. 15/turn Slow: You get -20% to Speed. Max Duration: 4 turns CP: 35/turn Hypothermia; x Your Speed Percentile is increased by 10x% rounded up, where ‘x’ is determined by the technique that applies this effect, to a maximum of 2. This effect stacks with other instances of this effect, up to a maximum of +40%. 15x/turn Haste: You get +20% to Speed. The jutsu has a 30% chance of failure Description: The user, under threat of a mental attack, forms the hand seals in combination with chakra to enhance their concentration and mental acuity, creating a guarded state which they imagine as a series of locked gates within their mind. Hardcore Skittlez Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Getting only 265 for the cost on the first one. Second one is fine. Third one would be: 105 for the 3 turns of haste, then 180 for the 3 turns of +100 speed. Genjutsu gets slightly better ratios, but you don't get the upkeep cost reduction if you're not actually upkeeping the technique. Total cost would be 285
tygerin Posted December 23, 2016 Author Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Upkeep is 70%. So it would be 42/turn instead of 60/turn for the two additional turns. -Temporal stasis edited Edited December 23, 2016 by tygerin
Hardcore Skittlez Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 If the technique is being paid for outright, it's not an "Upkeep" jutsu- ergo no upkeep cost reduction. Jutsu that require an upkeep can be counterplayed with status effects outright(sickened), but ones that are paid for upfront aren't as easily countered.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 First one can be reduced to 6 jp now.
Peregine Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Fazed can only be applied once per attack and takes effect immediately; I understood that it only worked for one turn?
Hardcore Skittlez Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 Yeah, Pere is right. Must have been doing things in a bit of a hurry! Approved
