"Him. My brother. Don't worry, he's just faking."Moments later her brother swam away. "I cant swim. I almost drowned when I was young." She gave a weak smile as she looked a little nervousy at the Hoshigaki again.
Guest Shikyo Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 He takes her hand and pulls her down the beach far from the sharkman. He looks out to the water and then back to her as if asking, "Would you like to try now?". He waits for her answer, looking intently at the water.

Never could she forget the swirling depths of water around her and the grip on her ankle pulling her deeper and deeper. Never could she forget the bubbles rising from her mouth in a silent scream of fear. Shirahime closed her eyes, blocking out the memory. "Ah..just in the shallows. Don't let go, all right?"
Guest Shikyo Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Shikyo holds onto her wrist tight, a hidden smile coming from behind his black mask. He slowly walks into the water with keeping hold of her the whole time. He was a very good swimmer, he had saved his brother once or twice from drowning after he had jumped in stupidly and hurt himself.
Guest Eikama Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 As the girl named Draiko introduced himself, he gave her a look that said, 'I want to talk later.' [btw how can you slightly punch? did you mean lightly punch?] As the other girl touched him, at first he didn't do anything... Just staring at shirahime... blood vessels turning eyes a bright red... Then, with a quick turn of his face, the snarl was directed towards the girl who touched him, with a look that gave the impression 'you're next'. With that, he plummetted into the water and rocketed off towards the shore. His shadow could be easily seen from the beach, moving rather quickly to the spot where Shirahime and Shikyo were.

'Something tells me he doesn't like being called whatever that girl over there called 'em......Well...don't we have something in common....,' thought Draiko, raising an eyebrow. Draiko paddled out again to crest of another wave, and waited for the right time to stand up. That time came and she stood up, the power of the wave push the board back to where Akiko and Ryo where. Cloudnine Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 "Hnya?" Luckily she and Shikyo were still in shallow waters, meaning she could break loose and run to shore. Letting out a small scream, Shirahime quickly said a goodbye and thanks to Shikyo before tearing up to shore. She could run fast, due to the pursuer and her fear of water (no one was holding on to her) she got on shore quickly. He is mad at me! Shirahime thought. She wished her weapon was done already...she needed it.
Guest Draiko Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Draiko watch as the girl on the far end the beach ran on to the shore. She shook her head, 'Now that's just not good....Has she ever heard of the saying if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all? Some people are different than others ya know! ^^;' she thought, shrugging. Draiko layed down on the surf board, and leg in the water.
Guest Shikyo Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 (edited) As the girl pulls herself from his protective grasp, he whirls around, to catch the sight of her bolting up the shore. An eyebrow raised as he watched her, he did not think they were too deep for her, but perhaps they were. He walks back to his cooler and retreives a drink, then dove into the water with out a care in the world. Though he did feel a little odd with the girl running away like that and all. Remembering that she at least had some defense and that there was a large stone wall farther up shore and she couldn't run anymore, Shirahime spun around. "Wh-what do y-you want-t?" She stuttered a little loudly at Dekishi.

Guest Black_Magic Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 A young girl stepped on the sand. She brushed back her hair and walked to a open spot on the beach. She spread her towel, and put some baked salmon on the beach towel to eat it later. The girl was not really a good keeper. She walked to the waves, and dipped her foot in. "Fwee!" The girl jumped into the waters. She popped up a couple seconds later. "Owie... my head hurts!" Sand was tangled in her hair. She swam to the deep end, then felt like she wanted to make a sand castle for the crab she found. She was holding the crabs two pinchers tight. When she got to shore, she found a sand castle someone already built, and decided to use that one instead. Right when she ploped Mr.Crab in, a big shadow was above her. She looked up. A big blue figure, a crushing wave. The girl just stood right there. "umm..."
Guest Draiko Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Draiko sat back up on the surf board and yawned. She looked over to the girl over by a sand castle. Draiko looked at the picture, a young girl, and a big blue wave, well, that doesn't seem all that good. "Hey uh, you guys can continue surfing. I'm gunna go to shore, and uh, draw. Maybe see what's up with that girl way over there. See ya on the sand...," said Draiko pointing at the girl who had called the sharkboy something, and then waved good-bye. Draiko took the surfboard and put it on top of her head. She ran over to the young girl, where the wave was about to topple over her. Draiko quickly ran over to her, stood facing the wave and stuck the surfboard in the sand. The wave splashed down against the board, not harming the young girl. Draiko then took the surfboard out of the sand and walked over to her towel, and stuck the surfboard back into the sand. She took out her drawing pad and pencil and started to draw her, Akiko, and Ryo surfing.

Mr.Crab!!! Hes probably dead! Wahh!" Tears ran non-stop down her cheeks. Then she saw another crab, but this one was bigger. "Mr.Bigger-Crab!" She picked him up, and ran to the drowned sandcastle. Mr.Carb was washed away... somewhere in this world.

Hope I didn't get your drawing wet!" He paid no attention to the girl with the crab. He lifted his left hand, revealing a live fish, and bit it's head off. After consuming the whole thing, watching her draw, he softly inquired, "What is it about you? Something... Is different than the others."
Guest Black_Magic Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Konomi found a shrimp, then some snails. She put the snails on the top of the sand castle. Then she put the shrimp on the Mote around it. Konomi liked collecting stuff on the beach. Mostly living things. She ran back to her towel and grabed the fresh baked salmon. She fed some to the little animals. Konomi didn't feel like eating the remaining chunks. "Hey, Mr.Sharky-Dude! Want some salmon?"
Cloudnine Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Letting out the breath she held, Shirahime decided that Dekishi wasn't pursuing her anymore, if he was watching the girl draw. Her muscles relaxed and she walked over to a nearby bar. Checking her purse for money, she sat down and waited for the bartender. Adjusting her wrap again, she set money on the table for a blue margarita.

Guest Shikyo Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Shruging he catches up to Shirahime, and enters the bar aswell. Looking at her with a slight concern in his eyes it is clear he wants to know if she is alright. He also wonders if he may join her, looking around taking in the bar as he did.

She dropped the last few chunks of salmon into the mote. She runs up to where Shark Guy was watching her hero draw. "You draw good."

She offered him the stool next to her. "S-sorry for running off like that..." She said, pointing at the two Hoshigaki members on the shore. "but one of them didn't seem to like me." Taking a sip of the margarita that just arrived, she asked, "so, how have you been doing?"

He went through the drink menu and pointed out the drink he wanted to the bartender. Smiling at Shirahime he was happy she was feeling better.

She said, tasting it. "It doesn't have the essence of this place even though it has sat here for a while." Smiling softly to herself, she roughly shook herself up. "Oh, s-sorry! I was just spacing out again!" Shirahime took another sip of her drink.

" I'll just keep surfing," He mumbled to himself, as he paddled towards an incoming swell. Ryo reached the crest of the wave and stood up. "Woah!," Ryo lost his balance and face planted it painfully into to the water.

"Naw, you didn't get it wet. No worries! ^^;" said Draiko with a smile on her face, still drawing away. "Something is different about me, from the others?
