Harmonious Blending

While some decide to specialize in a single martial arts discipline, some utilize a mixture of different aspect of various martial arts in order to accomplish a single goal of breaking through a fighter's defense and inhibit their ability to fight. While many may or may not have had formal martial arts training, experience throughout the years has allowed them to use whatever is available in their repertoire to strike with continuous and fluid movements, breaking down the target with hit after hit. This fluid movement and going with 'what feels right', allows for a shinobi to strike through defenses and avoid the harshest of attacks.
Effect: This taijutsu style is for [Styleless] jutsu. Harmonious Charges may be used in the following two (2) ways:

  • For each 'Harmonious Charge' the user holds, reduce the chance to fail of a [Styleless] taijutsu technique by 5%, to a minimum of 5%.
  • The user may spend one (1) harmonious charge to add one (1) turn of exposed to a [Styleless] taijutsu used in the main phase.

Cost: -2sp

On a purely mechanical note:

-- You need to declare that you gain charges on successful hits. Assumptions are bad.
-- Spend 1 charge to have a [Style] Taijutsu gain the effect: "This jutsu inflicts 1 turn of Exposed". The way you have it written, Exposed is auto inflicted and cannot be avoided.

-- The second ability in that line is a second ability. Break it out. 1 lets you add it to Jutsu. 1 lets you enhance the reduction already present on an Exposed.

-- Then you should strike the third ability, because a Tai Style shouldn't have 3 abilities. Or if it does its cost needs to go up.

On a personal note:

-- Your restriction is not a restriction. All it does is prevent you from turning this into an Advanced Tai Style. Because you aren't gonna buy a bunch of Tai Styles in any traditional build. Style Switching in Taijutsu is almost always a bad plan, unlike Element Switching or even Archetype Switching.

It's not need to be stated in the skill, because its already on the main site:

Every time a technique of the particular style strikes an opponent, the user of the technique will gain one <style> charge.

As for the second part of the first ability, I removed it.

Also the restriction was just for flavor reasons, but aight.

And then just for sake of knowing when this applies, what is your [Style] tag? [Harmonious Blending]? [Blending]? You'll need to reference it in both of your abilities, so that your style isn't affecting non-styled techniques. As it is written, you could use those abilities on any taijutsu you know, regardless of style.

And your first ability still auto-inflicts Exposed. "(1) harmonious charge to add 1 turn of 'Exposed' to a [Style] Taijutsu used in the main phase." is my suggestion.

It is only affecting non-style taijutsu, that was the original reason why I had put in "Character with this skill may not take any other taijutsu style". If sp cost is an issue, I don't mind bumping that up due to it affecting general taijutsu

You need to mention somewhere in the effect that this is a style for [Styleless] or something. Right now it doesn't define what this is for and technically you can't gain charges because you never say what type of jutsu are part of this 'Style'. Just add a line in the effect like "This is a Taijutsu Style for [Styleless] jutsu."

You've met everyone's requests, exposed is within the cost range of a charge, and the fail chance reduction I don't see a huge problem with either. Pegging it to styleless stuff is interesting, be keen to see how it goes.

Approved.
