Princess Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 (edited) War Pet This pet gains one 'Barding' armour slot. The armour created for this slot considers the owner's stats as the basis for all its values. Stat increases on this armour can only be chosen from Defence, Evasion and Concentration. Concentration gained in this way is only applied defensively against Genjutsu targeting this pet. Cooldown: Passive Cost: 10 Training Points Prize Fighter This pet performs a Basic Pet Attack which deals an additional 20% damage against other pets. May only be used in the Main Phase. Cooldown: 5-10 Cost: 5 Training Points Wall Breaker This pet performs a Basic Pet Attack which deals an additional 20% damage against shields and barriers. May only be used in the Main Phase. Cooldown: 7-10 Cost: 6 Training Points Edited January 4, 2021 by Princess 1 Quote
Princess Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 Alright, the second post explaining maths and jank is here! How did I maths these? More or less at random! War Pet: Passives seem to typically sit at 10 for pet abilities, so I pegged this at 10. What this does it let you purchase a suit of armour for your pet, which can give them a small amount of bonus defensive stats to help them survive. It can, being armour, also have armour abilities, which will mean you can throw anti-bleed or what have you on the pet. I would imagine staff discretion would apply on any of these, but given pet armour would be no less susceptible to destroy item as character armour but with only one slot there's no mechanical way to bury bonuses across 5 pieces to combat that, I think this is fair. Prize Fighter: Pet battles seem like a thing that can come up, and having a pet that is trained to fight other pets makes sense to me. It has a cooldown, only does bonus damage vs pets, I think the cost is fair. The cooldown could possibly even be lower, but I'm fine with it there. Wall Breaker: This is the one I am the least confident on, I think it is fine and fair, it's a one of shot to do an extra 20% damage on its basic pet attack, and those typically suck, but still, it's a nifty idea that, given pet strikes are added to existing attacks, could make for some interesting combinations. More expensive than prize fighter because more people have shields/barriers than they do pets, but the rough mechanic is the same so I left the cooldown alone. Quote
almondsAndRain Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 I’m considering either retiring my Tamer or having her walk a different path, so me taking this later is no longer a concern blocking my approval. Re: Wall Breaker, I think expanding this to all constructs wouldn't hurt the price, if you want to hurt puppets as well. Quote
