Dog Release; Underdogs 「II」

Type: Genjutsu [ Predatory Archetype ǀ Pet ǀ Hijutsu; Inuzuka Mimi ]

Rank: Chuunin.

Cost: 150 Chakra.

Effect: This technique may be performed as a Set Trap. The target’s Accuracy is reduced by 100 for two turns and they are inflicted with Fazed.

Pet Combination Effect: The target is also inflicted with one turn of Headache and Impaired Hearing.

If this technique is performed as a Set Trap, the user may only activate this Pet Combination Effect when setting this trap.

Description: Inuton; Kamaseinu.

The user’s Chakra takes on the form of a pack of wild dogs and surges through the Earth towards its target. When ordered, they rise out of the ground to distract, delay, or otherwise harass their opponent.

Technique Points: 14 [ Evolving 8; Dog Release; Underdogs「I」].

Pet Combination Effect: This attack now also inflicts one turn of Confused.

Description: Inuton; Konwaku Mure.

An array of dogs rushes out from behind the user and encircles their target. They move erratically and unnaturally - flying through the air, phasing through the ground, teleporting, splitting apart, merging together, and otherwise behaving in an unpredictable fashion.

Technique Points: 7 [ Evolving 1; Dog Release; Perplexing Pack「I」].

Dog Mound Release; Eye Sore 「II」

Pet Combination Effect: The target is inflicted with one turn of Hypothermia; 2.

Description: Inuzukaton; Mezawari.

Inspired by the Byakugan of Hyuuga Jikiniki, Inuzuka Mimi developed this technique to take advantage of one of her clan’s unique physical traits: the vertical irises of nocturnal predators. She channels her Chakra into her eyes, improving her reaction speed while simultaneously implanting a flash of primal fear in her target.

Technique Points: 7 [ Evolving 1; Dog Mound Release; Eye Sore ].

Nothing mechanically wrong on your first one, just a wonky ass line "When this technique is performed as a Set Trap, this effect may only be used when this trap is set."

Pretty sure its just one of those "I changed how I wanted to word my sentence halfway through" deals haha I believe you're good to go after that

No, I just worded it very badly because I got these up right before work, hahaha.

It's meant to cover that Pet techniques can have their Pet Combination Effects activated whenever the technique is used, but Set Traps are used both when they are first set and later when they are activated. My other Pet Set Traps say "This effect may only be used when this trap is set" (others in the future may say something like "this effect may only be used when this trap is activated") but the phrasing got funky because this one can be used as a normal technique.

Anyway, I updated the wording to hopefully be more clear.
