Maelstrom Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Yeah, I need a new anime to watch. Just got done watching Ah! My Goddess, which I honestly have to say was pretty awesome. Might be sort of a chick anime, but I liked it none the less. So, anyway, anyone have any suggestions on a good anime series? Quote
experimental lover Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 If you haven't seen all the Tenchi, then you haven't lived... Quote
Maelstrom Posted December 26, 2005 Author Posted December 26, 2005 I've seen a few of the episodes and loved the Tenchi in Love movie. They're really hard to find, especially since I'm relatively cheap. If you know of anywhere I can either DL them or purchase them, please let me know. ^^ Aside from Tenchi, any others you would recommend? Quote
experimental lover Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I really recommend the Fushigi Yuugi--I just love it dearly. Um... Kanon is nice, only 14 eppies long and somewhat girly, but funny nonetheless. Ranma 1/2 is good... hrm... just the classics, I suppose. Narutaro is so funny XP! Quote
Hardcore Skittlez Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Any of the dragonball-s? Perhaps Ragnarok:The Animation... Hm... Not sure of any others that aren't well know. (Trigun is always a good one) Quote

dowhatnow Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Mai(My)-HiME Mai(My)-Otome Berserk Ninja Scroll BECK Hellsing Love Hina The list could go on into infinity... Not really. But mine would be really really long, so I'll limit myself to these. Quote
experimental lover Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I noticed you finished Ah! My Goddess, so you might as well pick up Ah! My Mini Goddess. I always found random searching a good way to find anime. Surprised no one mentioned Chobits yet... Quote
Kitai Tenshi Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 bleach balck cat cowboy bebop Kenshin/ samurai x Blood+ / Blood the last vampire Rozen Maiden (i think thats good for now) Quote
Guest Skye Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) One Piece (definetely one of the best adventure and action shonen) GTO (Manga and LA are 100X better though)' Rurouni Kenshin (great, probably one of the best action stuff) Samurai Champloo (if you liked Cowboy Bebop, you'll probably like this. Its episodic format is similiar and is in the Japanese feudal age instead of futuristic) Black Cat (Very very very cliche, but pretty entertaining) Eyeshield 21 (If you like football) Full Metal Panic! and its sequels (The only anime with giant ass robots that I actually like. Great blend between a slightly futuristic mecha series and slice of life.) That's off the top of my head. Oh yeah, if you like romantic comedies, take a look at I"s Pure OVA. It started recently and was based off the manga. Don't watch the I"s OVA (it is absolutely horrible), make sure you watch the I"S PURE one. Edited January 8, 2006 by Snowman Quote
Guest r a m e n Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 oh man you HAVE to watch full metal panic! and its sequels they're so fun especially the first and last episodes of fumoffu xD so funny xD Quote
Rei Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, first and second gig. Quote
Maelstrom Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 I watched a little bit of Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Thought it was really good, but a tad confusing at times considering I missed a few episodes here and there. Even missed most of the ending too, so depressing. -.-; As for all the others listed here, I'll look into the ones that I haven't seen. Currently I am watching Suzuka. Only 25 eps. right now, but I have to say it's one of the most realistic animes I've ever seen. The characters are fleshed out pretty well also. Anyone who hasn't seen or heard of it should check it out, but be warned, it's sort of sappy. Quote
shizuki Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 i prefer to read Suzuka rather than watch it... Quote

Things have gone insane at A-S over Suzuka (well at just that topic)... its kinda stupid really Quote
