Nappers Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Rei opened the door to the After Hours Lounge, he had heard about the place from a flyers and posters that had been emerging everywhere. The atmosphere was different to what he had expected. It was calming, smooth jazz played in the background, a fully loaded bar with a suited it bar tender. As a porter approached him to take his coat he said a loud, "I could get used to this kinda place". He walked to the bar and took a stool. "Double Jack D's with ice". As the tender served up his glass, he span around on his stool soaking in the atmosphere.. Quote

Pushing the door open, he noticed very few people around, though there was a sound nin over by the bar. "Teikiatsu Reikoku, Rei for short. Come to this place much? Never been here myself". Rei noticed him to be a grass-nin, hadn't come across these before and wasn't aware of any of their customs. Perhaps he could take this chance to see how they differed from the ninja of Oto. Quote

He asked the barkeep for a mineral water, and a root beer in a shot glass, which he set on the table beside him. From his pack, a small purple scorpion ran over to the shotglass and began drinking. "Thanks man!" it said as it drank. "No problem, as long as you behave..." Turning back to Rei, he smiled. "Sorry about that... I find this interesting in fact, not too many around in Otokagure who care for animals" Rei grinned to himself. He took a sip of his drink, he screwed his face - it was a lot stronger than he had suspected. "How did you manage to find yourself in this 'contract' with scorpians then?". Rei turned around on his stool to observe the lounge. Still not many people. But he found the music harmonising, sound ninja always have a keen ear to music. Quote

He had wondered why he came into the building in the first place, but upon seeing an unfamiliar face, Terrick, it seemed worth it. "Its nice to see nin from another village and not be thrown into meaningless battle as always. Actually we don't really condone pointless fighting in Oto. There must always be some meaning other than just to thrash your oponent or for personal pride, has to be 'for the greater good of Oto' a friend of mine always says, goes by the name of Nidori". This looks like it, she thought, cautiously opening the door, hoping she didn't mistakenly stumble upon a strip bar or anything of that sort. Peeking inside and finding nothing wrong, the girl pushed the door wider and entered. With all the flyers in their rampant traveling, she had felt pressured to check it out. Shirahime had walked over to the bar and pushed out a stool. Before sitting, she pulled up her loose pants, a good inch of suggestive skin still showing. I should've worn the dress instead... Not really his taste in music, but they had rythm, he'd give them that. "Usually, it's the same day to day grind... Though one thing I do remember is the Annual Ghost Hunt. It's something that most families take part in. One member of the family will go out into the woods and pretend to be a ghost, and the kids have to find the right one. Whoever gets it right first usually gets a prize, but occasionally there's one for finding their ghost in the most interesting manner." Quote

"Zombie, and make it a hard one." he said to the barkeep who eerily reminded him of his old sensei. While he waited for his drink he turned and looked around the place, noting the kusa-nin sitting across the bar from him, Hmmm.....That guy looks kinda familiar...Oh well. I probably kicked his ass somewhere. *POOF!* A small cloud of smoke appeared on Kazuma's shoulder as a small light-blue porcupine appeared and began looking around. "Whoa! A bar! I'm getting drunk!!!" the little thing squealed in delight. "Not today your not youngling, you're not old enough. Now go do some recce and I might give you some beer nuts!" The mist-nin scolded, smirking and shaking his head at the crestfallen creature. Quote

Soon the door fully opened, with a girl coming through, eventually making her way to the bar. As she approached, 'Interesting'. Soon after the appearance of this girl who sat at the bar another customer came in. This one looked slightly crafty. "A friend of yours?" he asked Terrick... ... While awaiting his answer Reikoku swiveled on his chair, observing the girl sit up on her stool. He noticed the logo on her head-plate, another sound-nin, he hadn't seen her around before. "From Oto eh? Got a name?" he sipped his drink, forgetting how much he hated it - he probably did this just to look cool... Quote

And while he couldn't help but notice the antics of the other summoner, his attention was pulled over to the sound konoichi instead. Looking over to Rei, he whispered conspiratorily. He whispered back to Terrick, "I can't actually say that I do know her, I think I may have spotted her around the districts a couple times but I can't be too sure". Quote

"I-I'm S-sakurai Sh-Shirahime..." She hadn't seen this sound nin around; perhaps a glimpse or two at most. She recalled hearing a snatch of their earlier conversation. "I-I'm a teammate of N-Nidori..." Her hands came to the rim of her pants again as she tried to pull the oversized pants above her hips. Her shirt didn't aide in the attempt to conceal as it rode well above her midriff. Quote

Your third member is an intriguing character. You sound a little shy, theres no need to be, all friendly characters here. This is Terrick, he's from the Hidden Village of the Grass, and his scorpians name is errr..." Rei had forgotten and hoped that Terrick would jump in to the conversation... .. Meanwhile Rei turned his attention the new character to the bar. "Hey there, from the Mist? Interesting little porcupine you got yourself there, adept at summoning I see", Rei glared at his drink, 'an odd order' he thought to himself, something he hadn't seen before, perhaps it tasted better than the crap he was holding. Prophet Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Kazuma had just started to pour back his drink when the stunnin oto-nin walked past him, almost making him choke on his drink. Recovering with style, his instincts kicking in, Kazuma stood, grabbed a handful of nuts for Piroki, the porcupine summon, and wandered over to where Terrick was sitting. "Long time no see, how's the shoulder?" he asked with a small grin. Gotta get the story on all these sound shinobi's wanderin round, guess this guy ain't half bad. As he sat down, Kazuma felt the familiar tickling of Piroki's return to his jacket,. He handed the little thing the nuts he had pocketed and placed him on his head, where the summon began to munch away in sheer bliss. Quote

"Ah..uh...y-you have given me his name," She gave a little nod to Terrick. "B-but have y-you forgotten y-yours?" The girl smiled. As the bartender came by, Shirahime ordered tea. "I'm Sukrai Terrick, pleased to meet you..." he said as he kissed the konoichi's hand. Standard custom in Kusa, though he didn't know if it was the same in Oto or not... He felt Kazuma's hand on his shoulder and looked up at the mist-nin. "Not bad, not bad... I take it you managed to find all your senbon after your little stunt, eh?" "Yeah I found them, Next time you'll be the one diggin them outta ur back instead of using your bloody bunshins!" Kazuma joked to Booster. Piroki continued his little charade of bliss, all the while plotting the demise of his most hated rival Mitoki! One day victory will be mine you insufferable desert ant!!! Nappers Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Reikoku smiled, "Seem awfully generous for a Mist-nin, heard it was all work and no play with you guys" , took another sip of his drink, "You seem to know Terrick fairly well, anything I should know of this Grass-nin?". Rei was always suspicious of any new faces despite how generous or warm they seemed to be, nothing is as what it seems in the world of the ninja. The only person besides himself that he could rely on was Shirahime the Oto-nin, team-mate of Nidori. Quote

The girl looked away for a moment to wait for the flushed color in her pale cheeks to go away. She touched the three dots under her eye as returned. "Ch-charmed. Really." Quote

And even if they do....They'll find out real quick what happens when you cross a shinobi from the Hidden Village of the Mist." At this, Kazuma jokingly struck a heroic pose, one fist at the small of his back and the other on his stomach, chest puffed out, and his chin up. Piroki took the hint and struck a similar pose letting a small red cape billow out from around his neck. After everybody had finished their laughs, he turned back to Rei and said "Not much really, we just ran into each other in the woods by Fire country and had a little sparring match." Kazuma abrubtly turned and threw back the rest of his drink in one go, slamming it down and calling for another, offering to buy Shirahime a drink. Quote
Nappers Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Rei ached from his laughing, he was slightly startled by the slamming of the drink, 'this guy sure can drink' he thought to himself. He felt somewhat pressured by this, ordered a glass of the same drink as the Mist-nin and knocked it back too. He jerked his head sideways as the tang made him feel uneasy. 'What am I doing, drinking's not for me'. Rei sat up and span his glass on the bar, he looked across the bar, the Oto-nin had a scrunched up paper in her hand, he was curious about this. 'Did she come here for something or someone in particular?'. Shirahime looked over at Rei, when he noticed she caught him looking he abruptly faced away... Quote

A mix of 3 juices , 2 rums, 2 vodkas, and a finger of gin. Plus iI ordered a hard one which could drop most gennin!" Kazuma was just glad Rei had moved away from talking about the fight he'd had with Terrick. "Hey Piroki," he whispered so softly only his summon could hear. "Go check out those Oto-nin, I'm not sure I trust that shy one yet...She seems to be hiding something." Piroki scratched his confirmation on Kazuma's head. "If they catch you, play the cute-and-innocent game." Piroki scratched again and disappeared down the back of his master's coat. Another poof sounded and a new, slightly bigger porcupine appeared on Kazuma's head. "Yo.." it said, glaring at Mitoki with it's one good eye, the other bearing a savage scar. It's body covered in burn scars not unlike the young Atane's. Quote
