It was just that, at home and during training, there wasn't any time or people to just settle down and talk with. It was so busy, so...routine. Well, I think I've had enough to last me the next coupla hours...Let's go check out the town. "I'm off! I'll be back in a while though so don't anybody let my stool get cold!" Reikoku then looked towards the band, he had an idea. He leapt over the tables and chairs being careful to mind the other customers. 'THIS IS MY BIG CHANCE' he thought to himself.. He got up onto the stage and grabbed the mic... "Goodevening ladies and gentlemen.. im going to sing a little so for you all, if you know the words... please... sing along" the drink had clearly begun to take full affect on little Reikoku. The mic screeched, and the band played a typical beat. "Row Row.. Row your boat... gently - down - the stream.... erm... something something..." .... Quote

After Terrick left, the girl let out a small sigh and felt the extra color come off her face again. I really do need improved social skills. Shirahime made her way back to the bar and picked up on where she had left her now cold tea. And then suddenly, the unfamiliar sound-nin clambered on stage. A little curious and in shock, she looked on. F*ck! His singing... "Ack..." The mike screeched before his singing continued. With a leap and a bound, Shirahime was on stage with Rei. "D-don't embarass th-the village," Shirahime whispered, as she brought an arm firmly around Rei's shoulders. This is my opportunity to prove I really CAN sing' Reikoku moved around trying to make it difficult for her to snatch the micrpohone, it screeched as the battled for the equipment. She whispered to him but he could hardly understand what she said. Shirahime managed to pull away the mic from him and Rei was sent hurtling back into the drum set on stage, leaving Shira stood, mic in hand, in front of the audience. Rei was slightly disoriented, he held his head in one hand, and attempted to climb back up, but kept knocking into the cilinders and drums.. Edited February 19, 2006 by Nappers Quote

For a moment, he thought of going back in and seeing if Shirahime needed any help, but when he peeked back through the door, he saw that she had everything under control, so he then went back on the hunt. He smiled warmly, "Thanks" he said, a little defeated that his aspiring singing career had come to a dramatic end. When he was fully up he dusted himself off and carefully made his way to his stool. He kept a little quiet this time, a little annoyed at himself that his singing didn't last longer, more annoyed that he fell over on the stage. He looked back at Shirahime and said "thanks for helping me up". Quote

Rei ordered a glass of water this time from the barkeep, he thought it was time that he diluted. "You haven't seen Nidori around these parts have you? Kido Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Gornok entered the bar and looked at the people chatting in their groups. He was drawn by the singing which he heard from down the street, having been around only the chants of the people in his order, the song was so weird that he had to find the source. He kept his extra limb under his robe so others won't stare at him too closely. Where in the hell was that coming from? Sounds like a nursery rhyme or something. And in a bar no doubt, I hope the order doesn't find me in here. Quote

Of course we are standing out, and no, leave the other scorpions outside. We just need to look as if we are comfortable. He went over to the bar and requested a drink. He felt the people over to the side talking about him, turning to them, he held up his mug with a smile and a nod and down the dark liquid. Damn that stuff burns, this is definitely not grape juice. You fed a few hours ago in the desert and I'm not going to eat the first smiling face I seen since we left the shrine. He smiled at Rei and watched him spin in a circle and giggled. To see such a free spirit among those with the smell of blood on their weapons was really unnerving. "I'm from Suna, I'm on my first trip home from the academy and going to find my..." Heading to find your parents ey, well if it were my parents I know I would definately not be late".. Rei stopped as the Suna-nin had hesitated to say he was meeting his parents, this put a mark of question about what he had said, but still figured that Gornok was still a pretty cool character. Reikoku couldn't even begin to think about keeping up his guard with this guy, still feeling the effects of the earlier intoxication. Quote

"I just don't know a lot about them, they gave me up to our religious order when I was a baby, and when I was there, they never visited. The Archbishop said that was because they were always busy because they were blacksmiths, but I don't know. The Kazekage said that I should get to know my father before I report in for my first mission, sort of like a heart to heart between shinobi." Gornok relaxed alittle too much and he moved his second pair of hands under his robe, which made it look like a small ripple. He wasn't sure if Rei seen it so he just ordered a glass of water quickly. Quote

If the events continued in the same pattern as it had, she'd be deterred in a few minutes. As a new face walked in the bar and Rei asked the usual question, she shook her head and conitnued to lazily sip her tea. Listening to their pleasant conversation, Shirahime paused from drinking. She looked at Gornok's robes. What was that? The thought rung out, but she ignored it and returned to sipping her tea. The girl smiled as she was introduced.
