The sword is said to hold incredible powers bestoyed upon it by death itself, and the bloodthirsty aura it gives in battle has given its weilder nicknames such as the [[Black Swordsman]]. Some powers that the blade is rumored to have is the power to destroy weapons of weaker essence than itself from shear will and the power to return the pain that its owner has experiences. As well, there are curses that are rumored as well, including being bound to the owner until their death and an incredibly taxing cost to use on one's body.
