			The Konoha Military Police, or KMP for short, is the first line of defense in day to day crime in Konoha. They deal primarly with incidents and security within the village itself. Originally founded by the Uchiha, today [[Uchiha Souji]] commands the force. Despite attempts by the NCIA to transition the force into their fold, there was far too much resistance and the project was abandoned, only to be spearheaded by Souji in the aftermath of the fall. The KMF works closely with the Intelligence Corps and will often find themselves collaborating on a case.

			The Military Police is especially target towards Gennin who graduated the academy. As an instituion, the KMP trains cadets on site and it acts as an academy+. Each cadet has a room within the KMP and until they complete basic training, they may not have housing outside the compound. Cadets are split into four groups that compete against each other for graduation. Each squad is named after a leaf and is split into the following: Hemlock, Hawthorn, Magnolia and Mulberry. One lieutenants oversees two squads.

			During the fall of the Empire, this was the last establishment that required freedom before the Konohagakure Resistance could retake the village of leaves. [[Chouzou's Charge]] was ultimately a failure due to the strength of Fort Kai and the NCIA occupants that laid within. Due to this, Fort Kai was hardly damaged during the war and was outfitted with NCIA technology that it used today.
