			The hidden village of Kusagakure began as a coalition of farmers that have banded together to maximize their gains from trade, and to create caravans for travel against bandits. Caravan guards soon turned into local militia forces as the farming community further developed into a small community, and with the influence of international commerce the shinobi village formed from it. Chakra manipulation first began not as a line of offense or defense, but rather as attempts to sustain the farmlands.
