The general philosophy for the architecture is that flat land should be used for agriculture and other more important industries, while buildings themselves can be either build into cliff sides or in the mountains themselves. Strong archways and buttresses hold many structures in place and clearing of clifftops becomes important to prevent unexpected boulders from crashing into living rooms. Villages at higher elevation may also use stone and wooden bridges to connect their buildings along steep falls, causing railings to be a major portion of many structures.

In the north, near the Northern Sea and ocean, one can find snowy peaks and cold valleys with little green life to be found. Further south the temperature becomes more moderate and more deciduous forests can be found along the coast and near its borders. Here in the south, the landscape is teaming with plants and wildlife.
