The attempt was made in a restaurant located in downtown Metropolis while the Tsuchikage was out to dinner with his cousin, [[Alchem Syaoran]]. The would be assassin tried to use a poison dart to strike the Tsuchikage unaware in the chest. The dart successful struck its target, but due to the working of the [[Alchem]] bloodline the Tsuchikage was unharmed. The goals of these attacks and their origin are unknown at this time, though they were both done using stolen [[I.A.F.]] property, namely a handful of Corvette and PAC classification ships.
