Momochi Rakurai was considered to be a nobody who became a nightmare. Born into the eternally warring village of Kirigakure no Sato, young Rakurai struggled to make ends meet as a lonely little orphan. Destined to die alone in some random gutter, fate would smile upon him when he stumbled upon the team of young Inabikari Raikou. Saved from the life of a sickly peasant boy, Rakurai served at Raikou's side from their meeting day up until his death. The two were inseparable, forming an unlikely pair of bash brothers who always had each other's backs. When the NCIA was created during Raikou's reign as Raikage, the Momochi orphan was an obvious choice to command the organization in his stead. With his raw strength combined with Raikou's tactical mind, the two would effortlessly take the world by storm, almost managing to dominate it entirely until Rakurai's untimely death at his own hands.

Trademarks

• Rakurai was known through the land for his complete mastery over the Celestial Gates. It is also worth noting that he holds the record for having the Gates constantly open longest without having to take a break or rest. This was due primarily through experiments preformed on his body.
• Rakurai's death will forever be known to history due to the method on which he exploded, causing a significant amount of damage to the earth, even earning having his name in the pact known as the Rakurai Pact Project
• Rakurai invented nuclear energy. On accident.
