The Hachinin were a group of shinobi-nin who assembled from the allied resistances of the shinobi villages of the continents, some of the brightest burning young shinobi-nin of the known world were apresent within the group. It is important to note that these eight were not chosen to be Hachinin and they were not necissarily the most powerful shinobi present from their village at the time.
The group was impromptu, and came together without known reason, but the group, is directly responsible for the defeat of the Hachidaime Raikage. The name was bestowed on them after the battle, news headlines grasping for a name to call them.
