Clothing: Hari wears a purple kimono, sleeveless shirt that narrows out to a thin cloth near her knees, with grey shorts underneath. She has billowing, unattached sleeves that generally obscure her hands from view. Hari used to wear shoes around but has recently taken to going barefoot, with bandages wrapping them to protect the arches of her feet from any possible injuries. Hari is always seen with her favourite accessory: Hametsu, her giant hammer.
Physical Description: Hari is a thin, pale girl with a relatively unremarkable face. Her favourite feature is her green eyes, but her blue hair helps her to stand out in a crowd. She tends to keep her clothes spotless, unless she’s in a battle or she’s just been through a sand-storm. Hari has a thin scar running down the side of her face, between her left ear and eye.

History

Kitaeru Hari was borne to her parents in the sand village, where she has lived her entire life. She is an only child of two parents who are gone often, so she learned how to fend for herself quickly (making her own meals, keeping the house generally clean, and entertaining herself). Hari’s parents are the owners of a small bookstore. Her father tends to travel in search of new books, while her mom generally keeps to the store most of the day. She works there from time to time, but doesn’t particularly enjoy it. While she does like a good book to read, she can’t imagine taking care of them for the entirety of her life.

Hari grew up having no particular urge to do anything exciting with her life - she was happy where she was, in the sand village, enjoying daily life. Over time, she found she had no real helpful talents: she couldn’t grow plants, she didn’t particularly enjoy cooking, and she certainly didn’t want a family of her own. The thought of owning the bookstore when her parents passed it down to her was a daunting, frightful one. Hari began branching away from her usual lazy life of wandering about the town and exploring the desert, to honing her skills as a ninja. Her parents were undecided if this was a good fit for her, but with her urging, they enrolled her into the academy.

With practice, she learned how to forge crude weapons from sand. With some chakra, she realized she could heat the sand into glass. This was how she got the scar on her face: messing around with her new-found ability, she managed to drop a glass shard on her face, cutting it open. She’s never been a particularly graceful creature, and this was a more visible addition to many scars from general accidents over the years.
