Kaysu's hair is a deep purple, hanging barely to her shoulders. She's been known to consistently forget to get it trimmed so it stays at her preferred length. When this happened as a child, it fell into her eyes and she was known to rip at it. From time to time, she had even gone so far as to rip chunks of it out. When she was a child her mother-figure - Naosu - would force Kaysu to sit still long enough for her hair to be trimmed, studiously fixing the spots that Kaysu had ripped out in her annoyance. Since her childhood, Kaysu has simply grown out her bangs to avoid the problem, tucking her hair behind her ear or yanking it up into a bun with a spare chopstick. Her hair still grows longer than she would like, but she has mostly put her hair-ripping days behind her.

| Kaysu's hair is a deep purple, hanging barely to her shoulders. Kaysu's eyes are the color of spun gold. They shift depending on how the light hits them, sometimes looking yellow and sometimes looking like deeply colored honey. Her eyes often seem to glow with the inner light that shines within Kaysu's very soul...a light which shines even more brightly at the sight of her only love, Warrusu. Her eyes have also been said to literallly glow when she activates Seitsuno...the pendant which matches the color of her eyes so exactly that it's sometimes seen as eerie.

| Kaysu's eyes are the color of spun gold. Kaysu prefers more conservative clothing, unless in the privacy of her own home as a surprise for Warrusu. She tends to wear a well-fitting, softly colored Hakama-Shita and matching tabi boots. Kaysu has three dresses to be worn at various occasions, and she has a few sets of clothing that were gifts from her sister in law, Umikoi Mitsukai. She has only ever worn each outfit into public once, each time under Mitsukai's badgering, bullying, and outright threatening. The one thing that is always consistent about Kaysu's clothing are the slim, sturdy boots on her feet and the simple, yet elegant wedding band on her left hand.

| Kaysu prefers more conservative clothing, unless in the privacy of her own home as a surprise for Warrusu. Kaysu is small and soft. The opposite of a fighter. Nevertheless, she has been trained by Warrusu to defend herself, and carries a sword he gave her. She has reluctantly used a sword in the past - one that she gave to her friend and protector Gingitsune Musei upon their meeting - and she has killed. Some fighters make notches in their swords for each kill they make, but instead Kaysu has three long scars directly across her left wrist, each in a straight line. She mixed a small potion that the natives of the village she was staying in at the time gave her the recipe for. After using her sharpest scalpel to cut three lines across her wrist, Kaysu smeared the cream on it so that it would leave a permanent, unfading scar.

| Kaysu is small and soft. Kaysu has regained the weight that she lost during the war against the NCIA, thanks mostly to Warrusu's cooking. She is healthy and happy looking, spending her days at the hospital part time as one of the healers and spending the rest of her time during the days with her four children tagging after her as she makes her way around the village either making house calls or on the beach letting her water-loving children swim with their cousins while she and Mitsukai sit in the sun. Due to this, Kaysu has -finally- gotten some measure of a light tan, though she's still extremely pale, especially when held up against her sister-in-law's golden skin.

| Kaysu has regained the weight that she lost during the war against the NCIA, thanks mostly to Warrusu's cooking. Kaysu has settled into her own skin in the past five years. She has become who she felt she was meant to be...a mothering, loving, sheltering healer and it shows in her every smile. She has matured from the hyperactive, bubbly girl she was into a warm, sensitive young woman whose golden eyes hold shadows that only Warrusu can chase away. In her first year of marriage to Warrusu, Kaysu spent extensive hours with him sitting on the cliffside in one of their favorite spots simply murmuring to him the stories from the war, sharing with him the pain that the healer doesn't feel comfortable letting anyone else see. Having shadows in her eyes doesn't mean Kaysu doesn't still have a smile for everyone, however. If anything, she's become even more cheery...more happy. The bright beacon of life and love and hope shining its light upon anyone she speaks to.
| |||

Kaysu's greatest dream has always been to heal. It never crossed her mind that she might have to injure someone to protect herself, let alone kill, until the war with the NCIA when she killed three ninjas to protect herself and those around her. Doing so almost killed the young healer's spirit. Kaysu has always had a bright and happy - if delicate - spirit, often drawing those around her as moths to the light. Kaysu has never been known to hold a grudge...or even to get angry. On the rare occasions that she's seen not wearing a smile, she's usually sporting a look of determination or a thoughtful frown. Very few people have seen the medi-nin break.

| Kaysu's greatest dream has always been to heal. Kaysu's personality is shifting, almost like the ocean. She's shy when she first meets most people, though she doesn't seem to be...hiding her insecurities behind a wall of bright cheer and smiles...instead, she seems almost shallow with her cheer. Kaysu uses her smile as a shield from the cruelties and unhappiness in the world, dropping it for only a few select people. As Kaysu opens up, however, it's clear that she's much deeper than she seems, often using her shallow appearance to think slowly and thoroughly through a matter before quietly voicing her opinion on it. From time to time she'll also mutter seemingly nonsense phrases and words to herself, working on something with her hands and growling under her breath about the problem she's working on.

| Kaysu's personality is shifting, almost like the ocean. Kaysu is very fierce about three things: Her Warrusu, Her Children, and Her Patients. She will fight to her very last breath defending any of those three things, and then she will fight some more until there is nothing left of her. Kaysu cares little for her on health, and this often pisses Warrusu off, though he is always quick to intervene, trying to teach Kaysu restraint and keep her from destroying herself to heal everyone else around her. Stubborn when she needs to be, Kaysu nevertheless tends to bow to Warrusu's judgment more often than she does anyone else's. She has only ever loved Warrusu, and it's clear in her every glance or movement that he's everything to her.

| Kaysu is very fierce about three things: Her Warrusu, Her Children, and Her Patients. Kaysu's father Serasaki Kasuko was a Jounin, her mother, Serasaki Sokai, a Medi-nin. Kaysu was generally thought of as the outcast when she was a child, too weak to be any challenge, for her desire to heal instead of fight. Her mother died when she was very young, leaving Kaysu's father to raise his daughter and two sons alone. Her father was always very hard on- albeit very protective of- his only daughter. When Kirigakure No Sato was invaded by Kumo's forces, he went to fight the invading army and was crushed alongside the head of the Umikoi Clan and his son. Kaysu and her two younger brothers, Sansu and Kohoru, have been living as adopted members of the Umikoi Clan since the war. They have remained unaffiliated with the struggles between the Kumo and the Resistance, choosing instead not to fight and living in relative harmony masquerading as a simple clan of fishermen. The children were largely unaffected by the discontinuation of their training, having gained what skills they have at present before the invasion.

| Kaysu's father Serasaki Kasuko was a Jounin, her mother, Serasaki Sokai, a Medi-nin. She met the closest- and the only- friend that she had when she was being picked on by a particularly aggressive group of boys and Warrusu stepped in, defending her and sending the other students running due to the threat of his bloodline. After the event, Kaysu tried everything to grow closer to Warrusu, sometimes growing rather downhearted about her task and often just sighing and walking off after a good amount of trying. Still, she persisted, and has grown to the point where her attempts at conversation with Warrusu are the highlight of her days.

| She met the closest- and the only- friend that she had when she was being picked on by a particularly aggressive group of boys and Warrusu stepped in, defending her and sending the other students running due to the threat of his bloodline. She's spent the majority of the years with the Umikoi Clan tagging along after one of their healers trying to learn by watching them work, or pestering Warrusu to spend some time with her. She has acquired some mild healing knowledge, and is able to bind wounds and check for broken bones or sprains with mild ease. She has also learned how to mix herbs together into a healing brew for minor illnesses and into poultices for infections such as a wound that hasn't been properly tended to and allowed to fester painfully.

| She's spent the majority of the years with the Umikoi Clan tagging along after one of their healers trying to learn by watching them work, or pestering Warrusu to spend some time with her. Kaysu's only inheritance from either parent is the amber pendant that she wears at all times around her neck. Kaysu's father once told a story of how the pendant enabled her mother's chakra to stretch after a major battle. The other healers in the village where the wounded had been taken had exhausted their own chakra hours before and the pendant around Kaysu's mother's neck had begun to glow yellow. She was able to save a good deal more of the wounded than would have been otherwise possible, and only when the other healers could return to work did Kaysu's mother's energy run out...making her collapse into bed and sleep for almost forty-eight hours straight before waking up and being forced to eat and drink to regain her strength.

| Kaysu's only inheritance from either parent is the amber pendant that she wears at all times around her neck. The pendant had literally eaten into the woman's body to stretch her healing. Her clothes had grown several sizes too large and as a healer, Kaysu's mother hadn't cared...giving her life for the people she was healing. Kaysu's mother never regained her full strength, passing away before she could even fully come back to consciousness. This property did not show itself while the pendant was in Kaysu's care until she went to war, and even then only when Kaysu had taxed her chakra to the limits and there was no one else around with enough chakra to do the healing.

| The pendant had literally eaten into the woman's body to stretch her healing. This first occured during a battle in which the NCIA army attacked the medical encampment Kaysu was with, where Kaysu was knocked unconscious for an hour before waking up to find that she was the only person in the encampment still conscious and that the NCIA had moved in behind the warriors her encampment had been travelling with, ambushing them from behind. The second time Seitsuno activated was when Kaysu was moved to the front lines as the battles heated up. This is where the greatest damage to Kaysu's body was done, making her drop weight with frightening rapidity and never allowing her to regain it, no matter how she ate.

The third and final time Kaysu's ever activated Seitsuno was during the very end of the war when the NCIA poisoned a circuit of wells and other water supplies in several small villages and Kaysu and her 'keeper', her friend Gingitsune Musei managed to reach the third of six villages as the poison started to kick in, allowing Kaysu to heal the villagers and quickly begin to work on an antidote. As a result of all three incidents so quickly on top of each other, Kaysu was malnourished even more greatly than her comrades during the war. Due to this, her growth was stunted, leaving her much smaller in size and stature than she would have been otherwise.

For her deeds in the villages, Kaysu was awarded a Chuunin vest by her superior officer, Head-Healer Beikashi Serasu. While on her way to a nearby stream to bathe, however, Kaysu came across a young NCIA-nin who was very near death from the exact poison the NCIA had put in the water supplies. Serasu gave Kaysu a direct order not to heal the young ninja, since her superiors had given her a direct order that all of the healers needed to save their Chakra for the other villages that would need it. Kaysu disobeyed, healing the young man when he turned out to be Gingitsune Hoeru, Kaysu's friend Musei's younger brother. Kaysu's act of disobedience was betrayed to Beikashi Serasu by Nakashi Reiki, the gennin that Kaysu first befriended when she went to war.

| For her deeds in the villages, Kaysu was awarded a Chuunin vest by her superior officer, Head-Healer Beikashi Serasu. Reiki had observed Kaysu's superior healing abliities and the young Kiri-nin's sheer refusal to give up on anyone throughout their time together in the war. She had grown more jealous of Kaysu as time progressed, and when the chance came to ruin the purple-haired girl, Reiki had taken it. After witnessing Kaysu's dishonorable discharge, Reiki had taken things a step further and added insult to injury by burning Kaysu's brand new Chuunin vest and the pack that contained all of her medical supplies and Kaysu's letters to Warrusu - one for each day that she'd been separated for him.

| Reiki had observed Kaysu's superior healing abliities and the young Kiri-nin's sheer refusal to give up on anyone throughout their time together in the war. Broken, exhausted, and heart-sick, Kaysu had decided that she wanted to go home. As 'Home' for Kaysu has always been a person rather than a place, she set out for the first place she could think of to begin her search for Warrusu: Kirigakure no Sato and his brother Wairu. Before she could get there, however, she was captured by a rogue NCIA nin named Nokusha Saamo, who had been one of the top interrogators of the NCIA - so he claimed. Kaysu has married her love, her Umikoi. She has spent the past five years devoting herself to him and their four children, as well as spending a week each month travelling the villages in the countryside healing those who need it. Kaysu is the head of this small healing organization, and she makes up a schedule once every six months for herself and the other healers of when and where their circuits will occur. She is also active in Kirigakure no Sato's hospital and keeps her own herb garden, separate from the large kitchen garden that she and her mother-in-law keep. Because of the level of her busy-ness, Kaysu has always been thankful that she actually let Warrusu win the argument about his mother, Umikoi Ameko, living with them. As often as she gets the time to, Kaysu takes her four children to the beach...four-year-old twins Umikoi Warrusu za Hachi (Who much to his father's annoyance Kaysu calls 'Rusu' and to his mother's annoyance the rest of the clan calls 'Hachi') and Umikoi Ameko Naosu Kaien (their only daughter, whom Kaysu calls Kaien and Warrusu calls Ame-osu); three-year-old Umikoi Wairudo za Go; and two-year-old Umikoi Ezenji. Kaysu is extremely proud of her children, as well as very protective. For each of the children, she refused to leave them with anyone else for more than a few minutes until they had reached their second birthay. Umikoi Kaysu
Age: Twenty-Three

Date of Birth: August 8, 2092
Zodiac Sign: Leo
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Blood Type: A+
Clan: Umikoi [海愛]
Village: Kirigakure no Sato [霧隠れの里]
Nationality: Mizu no Kuni [水の国 ]
Location: Kirigakure no Sato, Mizu no Kuni [霧隠れの里 , 水の国]
-Height: 5'4
-Weight: 130lbs
-Hair:
-Eyes:
Kaysu's eyes are the color of spun gold. They shift depending on how the light hits them, sometimes looking yellow and sometimes looking like deeply colored honey. Her eyes often seem to glow with the inner light that shines within Kaysu's very soul...a light which shines even more brightly at the sight of her only love, Warrusu. Her eyes have also been said to literallly glow when she activates Seitsuno...the pendant which matches the color of her eyes so exactly that it's sometimes seen as eerie.
-Clothing:
-Physical Description:
Personality:

~Childhood and The Medi-Nin Goes to War~
~The Medi-Nin Returns~
Broken, exhausted, and heart-sick, Kaysu had decided that she wanted to go home. As 'Home' for Kaysu has always been a person rather than a place, she set out for the first place she could think of to begin her search for Warrusu: Kirigakure no Sato and his brother Wairu. Before she could get there, however, she was captured by a rogue NCIA nin named Nokusha Saamo, who had been one of the top interrogators of the NCIA - so he claimed. He used Genjutsu on Kaysu, along with nine other young ninjas who'd been returning home, to make them live through their worst nightmares...waking and asleep...with no reprieve until their minds snapped like twigs.
Because he knew Kaysu was so kind hearted and warm, Nokusha Saamo demanded the impossible from her. He demanded that she learn to dive into the minds that had snapped and put them back together again. Kaysu, helplessly trapped in nightmares of her own telling her that Warrusu would never - never - be hers, obeyed. With Nokusha Saamo guiding her as if he were teaching her a true jutsu for the first time, Kaysu healed the minds of two young Kiri-nin. And soon learned the horrors of sealing parts of someone's mind away from their reach. Five days, Kaysu was held in the prison camp, watching the sun rise over Avalon each morning as she was denied sleep, denied rest.
Five days. Five nights. Each hour brought a new nightmare to the young healer. Each hour, the torture began anew. Kaysu watched Warrusu marry another. She watched another have his baby. She watched him. Always, when he looked at her, he sneered. What good is a healer that kills?
On the third day, impossibly, Kaysu began hearing the sound of waves breaking across a cliff. In her genjutsu-induced nightmare, she was standing on the edge of a cliff she had fallen off of once, scaring her father and Warrusu so much that they had forbidden her to approach the edge again. Once again, she was watching Warrusu as he wrapped his arms around another. As he gave another everything he was. Only this time, she heard the roar of those waves and a cooler, warmer voice in the back of her head.
You will not watch.
I must...I have no choice.
Umikoi Kaysu! The name made her start. She wasn't married to Warrusu! Umikoi Kaysu, you will not watch!
Who are you? Kaysu tried to turn away. Found it just as impossible as ever.
Umikoi Kaysu. You will not watch. This time, when Kaysu tried to turn, she felt weightless...as if she were swimming, the waves of the ocean...the comforting press of its strength around her. She turned away. Kaysu stared at the edge of the cliff, jumping to realize that she was closer to the edge than she had been since she fell. Swallowing hard, she reassured herself that it was but a dream and took a step towards the edge.
Stop.
But if I cannot watch...
You are too close to the edge, child. Step backwards. If you reach the edge of this cliff, you'll never get back to your brothers.
Kaysu stared at the cliff's edge, taking a slow step back. As she did, she felt a weight that she hadn't even noticed prior to that moment lessen in the very back of her mind. Encouraged, she took another step back. And then a third, until she was safely back from the edge, on the path that Warrusu had marked for her when she was a child.
From then on, Kaysu felt that heavy presence during each nightmare and found herself able to look away - even if she couldn't drown out the sounds as Nokusha Saamo gave her nightmares of Warrusu's wedding night with those other faceless women. Two days later, Kaysu felt the nightmares stop. She crept out of the camp as soon as they did, running. Certain that it was a hallucination, it wasn't until her surrogate mother Naosu-chan had gently helped ease the exhaustion from Kaysu's body that the purple haired medi-nin was able to realize that she was indeed home, not trapped in another nightmare.
~The Past Five Years~
Kaysu has married her love, her Umikoi. When Kaysu is called off for an emergency, Ameko keeps the four children.
