- Hair Color: Brown.
- Eye Color: Dark Brown.
- Skin Color: Light Tan.
- Physical Description: Having grown well past the height of both her parents before even graduating from the Academy, Inuzuka Mimi towers over many adult women, let alone other girls her age. Not long ago, Mimi was significantly underweight. But with advice (and supplements) from her friend Akimichi Chohachi, her diet and exercise regime have improved and she is beginning to see results. She performs her training in the diverse terrains surrounding the village - and her war duties often demand that she train in far-off regions she had never before imagined - causing a good amount of muscle growth, as exploring these areas requires hours upon hours of climbing, hiking, and swimming. Although she is still very light for her age, Mimi is finally making progress she is happy with.
- A life spent in the sun has finally started to tone her body, but has long since had other effects: her once-pale skin has tanned and freckled, and her black hair has been bleached a light brown from the constant exposure. A lack of time due to the war, as well as her slowly growing confidence in her abilities, has left her less worried about the length of her hair. It’s grown several inches over the months, and all she’s bothered with is cutting her bangs, leaving her with a short, curly mullet. Below her hair is her face: sharp and angular with wide, friendly eyes, these are traits she inherited from her father, leaving her a spitting image of Auntie Asa. But her pupils and irises are snake-like, betraying her Inuzuka ancestry.
- Casual Clothing: Although she used to carefully curate her outfits to compensate for her frame, Mimi just doesn’t have the time anymore. That she is beginning to be happy with her appearance is just another reason not to bother. That said, old habits die hard: she still breaks her body apart visually through ill-fitting, patterned clothing and large accessories - broad belts and chokers, ginormous hats, and a collection of other items. As her clothes are replaced though, her wardrobe is becoming more plain and form-fitting. The only accessory that she still goes out of her way to keep is her dog-faced bag - a fat, ugly, ancient satchel that she carries everywhere, even while working.
- Tactical Gear: Well aware of the dangers and responsibilities of her life, Mimi others both when dressed for her role as a kunoichi in war… even if her outfit makes her look silly. Never one to put form over function in battle, Mimi has taken to wearing a surprisingly hardy pumpkin-shaped mask during missions and training. She painted it black and added her clan’s red fangs and eyeshadow to it, in place of wearing them on her face. Her hitai-ate is now worn snuggly around her neck. Over her father’s chuunin vest, she wears a cloak to mask her movements. From her knees down, Mimi is protected by her Soil-Saddle Boots, leaving her prepared for mounted and foot combat.
Personality
The stress of ninja life had been wearing away at Mimi long before Suna invaded, but this conflict is the first event that truly began to harden Mimi to life’s troubles. She still hyperfocuses on her fears and worries, and if anything she is even more prone to falling into depressive states than she was during peace. But she no longer freezes up or cries - she tries to hide her terror behind a joke or brave face, and forces herself to concentrate on solving whatever crises arise. It has been a slow process, but Mimi’s anxieties are improving as she survives the turmoil she finds herself in and as she develops confidence in her abilities as a shinobi, and that confidence is providing her with the stability she needs to remain calm in the face of hell. That said, when stressed beyond her limits, Mimi sometimes lashes out at the people around her. This is a newly developed trait, and one she is embarrassed and ashamed of.
Despite her anxieties and worsening emotional issues, Mimi tries to be nice. She greets everyone with a smile and bubbly attitude, offering compassion, trust, and love without question or complaint. She quickly reveals her fondness for jokes, games, and just generally goofy behavior, finally feeling comfortable enough with herself to express herself fully publicly and without shame. With her friends and family, her “pack,” Mimi goes even further: she shows them unwavering loyalty and will do whatever is necessary to help them.
History
Prologue: Making of a Mimi
Mimi is the only daughter of Yoru, the first of the Mukakei family to become a ninja, and Shita, one of the very few Inuzuka incapable of any ninja art. The two married young, but deliberately waited a long time to have children. Both the unapproved marriage and decades of waiting to conceive a child caused stress between the couple and their respective families, and eventually the Mukakei family disowned their son and expel him from the Mukakei Conglomerate.
Nearly fifty years old when Kumogakure invaded Konoha, Yoru was unable to keep pace with the Cloud ninja and died in defense of his village. Shita kept her and Mimi’s heads down during the occupation and, unlike many of their clansmen, got through the war unscathed. Years later, in an attempt to honor her late husband and help the Inuzuka replenish their losses, Shita enrolled Mimi in the Leaf’s Academy.
It was a disaster mitigated solely by the fact that Asa, the only Mukankei to maintain contact with Yoru or Mimi, was a teacher at the Academy. No amount of training, punishments, or special education classes would improve Mimi’s dismal performance - she had no interest in the profession that killed her father and would force her to kill other people. It took weeks of work for Asa to convince Mimi to focus on Genjutsu at the expense of her clan’s natural talents, and months more for the training to finally pay off. When she finally managed to graduate, her clan granted her a pup she named “Kiku.” Just as surprised as she was that she actually passed the exam, and a year early at that, the Inuzuka had not actually begun to train this dog, leaving her as Mimi’s first real test as a ninja.
Chapter One: New Friends
Mimi was not assigned a team when she first graduated the Academy - instead, it formed itself naturally. Hyuuga Jikiniki sent out a call for Inuzuka to train with her, so she can learn about raising ninkemono, and Mimi and her cousin Kagu answered. The training session could not have gone more poorly - at the end of it, Mimi was exhausted and injured, the training field had caught fire and exploded, and Kagu was traumatized to the point where no one involved in the incident had ever heard from or seen him again.
But that event had, strangely, built a framework for Jikiniki’s and Mimi’s friendship. Norite Ryoku was eventually placed onto the team as their Jounin sensei, and with her came Tsumugi Emika. Over the weeks that followed, all of them learned how to control their Chakra well enough to properly walk up walls, though it was not without its own drama and struggles. Despite the weeks of training, Mimi doesn’t feel that close to Emika yet, and she has a strong dislike of her sensei - though that is because Ryoku lit her and Jikiniki on fire.
She and Akimichi Chohachi were assigned a mission together to train guard recruits in Hotarunoshi, and the two instantly hit it off. After the mission, Chohachi would provide Mimi with the advice she needed to begin filling out.
The last mission Mimi was on before the war ended the moment Suna attacked - she and Jikiniki had orders to investigate the disappearance of Kazemari Yomu, a scout based on the Ame border. They were to be led by Hyuuga Yatako himself, but right after passing the village gates a frantic hawk arrived carrying terrible news of Suna’s invasion. Inuzuka Mimi and Hyuuga Jikiniki reported to the Academy, where they had met with Norite Ryoku to be informed of the situation. Later that night, after an Inuzuka clan meeting, Mimi’s mother gave her a second dog, Kiita, to serve as extra protection.

Quotes
- "Kiku, watch the ground! Jikiniki is being Trickiniki!" - When Hyuuga Jikiniki activated a set of traps throughout a race track.
- "“Oh no, well, someone’s a polite bird. You’re much nicer than that hawk yesterday. Right, Kiku? So rude, that one.” - After a kind greeting from Jikiniki's terror bird.
- “'Well..' she started slow, scratching just below her ponytail as she spoke, 'Oh no, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with non-ninja guards. I guess they’re just cops, yeah. That’s probably why we have to train them - no special abilities means that they can’t defend against anything strong enough to actually threaten the capital.' She paused for a moment, neglecting to bring up what those threats actually were. Rumors of demon-monsters roaming the continent, reports of death-cultists sacrificing people, rising tensions with Sunagakure… Konoha’s shinobi would have issues with these terrors, what chance did mundane guards have?" - Accidentally predicting the fall of Hotarunoshi.
Trivia
- Public In Character Trivia
- "Mimi" means "ear" in Japanese. She named her ninken "Kiku" and "Kiita" because those words mean "listen" and "listened" respectively, and Mimi loves a good naming scheme.
- Almost all of Mimi's techniques are named "Dog Release; X," because she thought it would be funny. There is no Dog Release skill or other ability, however.
- Her "Dog Mound Release; X" techniques are a pun: it translates to "Inuzukaton."
- She is currently on a team with Hyuuga Jikiniki. They are both Tamers.
- Mimi's mother never managed to become a ninja. Instead, she supports her daughter and clan through her butcher shop.
- Private In Character Trivia
- Mimi is surprisingly accepting of her father's death. It fuels her fear that she or her loved ones will die in the upcoming war, but he was a very busy man and Mimi just doesn't have enough memories of him to truly feel the sting of his loss.
- Out of Character Trivia
- Mimi sat in the Konoha Characters creation forum of over seven months before her creator (almondsAndRain) felt the need to have her approved.
- This is almondsAndRain's first Ninja Academy character specifically and her second roleplay character in general.
