| |
| :*'''Ninja [General]:''' Beige cargo pants, dirt brown long sleeved shirt with Iwa symbol in black on the front. He wears an Iwa vest with his clan emblem stitched in the left side on the chest. The vest is never zipped up and always hangs loose exposing his t-shirt. He has a pair of jet black goggles that rest on his head, a vivid green lens covers on them. On his feet are his dial boots which are black with two glowing blue orbs on the outside ankles. He wears his arm guard on his left forearm witch extends slightly beyond his elbow. His two katana are either strapped to his side or across his back. He also wears a gold ring on his left ring finger with the crest of Iwagakure on it in red. His right forearm is also wrapped in white medical bandages up to just beyond his elbow. On both shins are black shinguards which extend to cover the entire shin, much like those in soccer, but with a metal plate instead of plastic. On his shoulders and strapped to either side of his waist are pads with metal stakes in them, providing protection as well as doubling as a ninja tool.
| |
| :*'''Ninja [Snow]:''' Syaoran wears a thick black winter coat with a fuzzy white hood which is almost always thrown backwards. On the back of the jacket is a large orange stripe and on the left shoulder over where his tatoo would be is the clan emblem. There is also a large orange stripe down either side of the front, lining the zipper. His goggles, jet black goggles with green lenses, stay over his eyes at all times unless he goes inside. He wears black waterproof pants with three thick orange rectangular stripes horizontally on the sides. Off of his durable white belt is a couple white chains that hang off of the belt and loop downwards. He has thick closed toe black boots that lace up over his pants. His two katana hand on his back and his kunai pouch is strapped to his right leg. His right forearm is also wrapped in white medical bandages.
| |
| :*'''Civilian I:''' During the Kumo occupation Syaoran did not want to look like a ninja and thus took on a new look. Beige cargo pants, dark colored Van shoes, and a dark black shirt. He still wear's his goggles, but they are around his neck mostly. He almost always wears a traveler's cloak, which has much wear and tear and is a light brown color. His right forearm is also wrapped in white medical bandages.
| |
| :*'''Civilian II:''' A jet black long sleeve shirt with the clan symbol large on the back in red and with a red strip across the front chest. He wears faded blue jeans with a thick chain hanging from the right side and a thick brown belt. He also wears light brown Adidas shoes with black stripes on the sides. His right forearm is also wrapped in white medical bandages.
| |
| :*'''Tsuchikage [General]:''' While needing to have the formality that comes with being a kage, Syaoran likes to still keep his apparel comfortable. He will wear the white robes with light brown markings that are the standard ceremonial robes, but he keeps the front wide open to display what he is wearing underneath. If he does not plan on doing work he will often wear long cargo pants with comfortable brown Adidas shoes. His shirt is a tight fitting faded black tshirt that cuts off higher on his bicep so that if he takes off his ceremonial robes his tattoo can be seen on his right shoulder. His pants will be kept up with a thick brown belt and his goggles will sit idly around his neck as he moves throughout the day. His right forearm will be wrapped in white medical bandages and he NEVER wears the Tsuchikage hat if he can avoid it.
| |
| :*'''Tsuchikage [Political]:''' In a more ceremonial or political situation in which Syaoran is representing the village as a whole he will dress accordingly to the style of a kage. This means that he will draw the robes closed around him, keeping what he is wearing underneath a secret. His jet black dial boots which are for the most part traditional ninja equipment will be visible from the bottom of his robes. His right hand will carry the golden and crimson ring of Iwagakure no Sato and his head will actually have the Tsuchikage hat on top of it. His trademark goggles will still be around his neck, and from the right angle will be able to be seen.
| |
| :*'''Tsuchikage [Battle]:''' In a battle where Syaoran would rather use the advantage of fear in revealing his rank, he will wear the same as he normally does for battle (See Ninja [General]) but with the Tsuchikage robes over them and left open for freedom of movement. He will often ditch the robes once it is known who he is for a better range of movement. And of course, no hat.

| '''Description:'''A medium build, not very muscular looking at first but his body is rock hard and firm. He is very cute looking and would probably get a lot of girls if he wasn’t such an open pervert most the time. He has multiple light scars all over his body, many of them not noticeable at first glance but become apparent as you examine his skin. However, he has a few large scars as well. The most noticeable is a slash from his upper right shoulder to his lower left hip. This was caused during the fights to free Iwagakure from the Akatsuki, when Syaoran took a sword wound across his torso. Also, on his lower right stomach is a large vertical slice about six inches tall. It was where Uchiha Asher's snake summon punctured his stomach. This wound looks a lot worse than the larger sword wound across his chest, and as a result of his poor medical treatment and the poison of the snake it healed a lot less nicely. On his left arm as well Syaoran has a scar that encircles his entire bicep where his arm was entirely cut off in a fight against an NCIA agent.
| |
| | |
| Aside from scars though, Syaoran also has two different tattoos on his body. The first was given to him when he was a young child as part of his clans initiation. This consists of a crimson tattoo on his upper right arm just below the shoulder. The design is the clan emblem, a cross with a snake intertwined around it, very simple compared to other tattoos. The second tattoo is his right forearm is covered in a tribal patten from his elbow to his wrist. On the underside of his arm the tattoo creates a rather small rounded box in which names of techniques will appear as Syaoran uses a forbidden jutsu to absorb them, up too four different techniques can be written here. Usually though, Syaoran will keep his right forearm wrapped in bandages or under a sleeve as this tattoo is part of a secret technique that he uses.<br>

| |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 0: Prologue</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Syaoran was abandoned to the clan as an orphan child at a young age. He was told and believed all his life, until recently, that his parents had died while protecting the village. He has recently found out that they had left him in the clan’s care as they were banish from Iwa for doing hideous experiments on live animals and forbidden ninjutsu effects with Alchemy. Through focused Alchemy and much time and thought they had mastered a new level of Alchemy and were able to mix animals with each other into monstrousities called chimera’s. These chimera were found by the Tsuchikage, who immediately wanted them banished for taking part in such a forbidden art. The clan head, at the time Alchem Vaguardo had dismissed them from the clan and told them to never return as they had disgraced the clan. They left the village never to be seen by any Iwa villager again.
| |
| | |
| Up until Syaoran was 12 nothing particularly exciting had happened to him. He had done some stunts, played some pranks, but nothing serious. He had a close to normal childhood being raised in the clan house as a member and being training daily in Alchemy. He looked up to the clan head, Alchem Rouni, who had trained him personally many times, and was the closest thing Syaoran ever had to a parent.

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 1: The Wolf Girl</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Since his beginning as a genin under the guidance of his jounin teacher Tsukishi Maomi, Syaoran has grown much. He started in Iwa team #2 with his teammates Shimo Kadiska and Chain Figaro. He had become friends with Kadiska right before being placed in the same team, and the two had started a good friendship. Kadiska had not had any really good friends aside from her brother and pet. Spending all their free time together and working on training if they could, they were a real team. Syaoran even began to think he was truely falling in love. She was the first girl that he did not have perverted lusts for, but actually just wanted to be around. She had made him happy. They had been close even up to the day Syaoran had left the village, not knowing he was going to be gone 5 years.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 2: In Search of Answers</u></font>
| |
| | |
| When Syaoran left the village of Iwagakure he intended to head for Konohagakure to do some training, see the village and learn the ways of the fire techniques. He wanted to take in some research to progress his alchemy to a higher level, hoping to impress the clan elders. After meeting a quickly improving genin girl and doing a couple of missions with here, Syaoran broke off on his own. Doing freelance missions and work for Konoha Syaoran took residence in a visitor apartment set up for people of other villages. For about a year Syaoran trudged on like this. But ne day Syaoran had a sudden urge to leave and suddenly took a leave from the village. For two years, or close to, more like 21 months, Syaoran roamed the countryside and villages. He had seen two other great ninja villages, Sunagakure and Kumogakure. Learning the ways of the wind Syaoran spent a lot of his time in the village libraries. Reading up on the history of the land and searching for documents on alchemy. While in Kumogakure Syaoran stumbled upon a document telling of a middle aged couple arriving in the village about 12 years ago. They preformed some medical miracles, saved a young man's life with strange ninjutsu and left mysteriously. Tracking this down Syaoran eventually found out from some of the older village residence that they had both been from Iwagakure and fit the description of Syaoran's parents. The next week was spent leaving Kumagakure and picking up the trail of his parents. After about a month of moving from small village to small village he found a new lead. Apparently his parents had left a journal of their followings to a village leader outside of the country of rice. They had spent a significant time there and left the book with instructions saying if a young Iwagakure ninja ever came looking for them to give him that.
| |
| | |
| Within the journal it told of many forbidden jutsu and alchemy technique that they had tried, It gave components, recipes, algorithms, and arrays for the most powerful of alchemic jutsu. Many of them required human lives, human bodies, blood of people, animals, and other living creatures. Looking over it Syaoran became sick, and threw up. He spend a couple months in the small village, practicing with the lower and less dangerous alchemic techniques in the book, learning much of the gate and what it can do to a person. For this time he had contemplated what it meant to be an Alchem. He let himself go, stopped bathing or washing clothes, he became a drifter. Moving from village to village he eventually made it back to Iwagakure with the intent of killing the Tsuchikage for lying to him for so long. When he returned though he found that the Akatsuki had taken over the village already and had killed his clan, many of his friends, and even the kage.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 3: A Long Journey Home</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Leaving the village after a run in with some old friends he made his way slowly back to Konoha. Entering the village he went back into his old routine of missions and training. The Hokage had welcomed him back and he was happy to be back. Soon afterwards Syaoran ran into his cousin Alchem Sanji, who he would later find out to be the only other survivor of the Alchem clan aside from himself.
| |
| | |
| During his time in Konoha Syaoran met a young girl around his age by the name of Nicole. They soon started dating, and fell in love with each other. This helped Syaoran get over the death of his clan, though it would never leave him entirely, nor did he want it to.
| |
| | |
| About this time Syaoran enlisted in a large squad who's mission was to recover the Tsuchikage from Iwa, who apparently had been imprisoned for questioning rather than killed. Upon entering, fighting through, and much adu, the squad finished the mission. Though there was a single casualty in the mission, a young genin by the name of Akasabure Genome, whom is engraved forever in the katana sheathe of the curse sword Hinshi, which Syaoran aquired from the final battle. The young genin would never be forgotten. At the end Syaoran had become to new clan head and him and Sanji began to rebuild the clan from the ground up.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 4: To Reconstitute a Library</u></font>
| |
| | |
| During this rebuilding period the two cousins came across a snag. They had lost multiple volumes of knowledge to the fires and had a need for them. The only other place in the world that had alchemic works though was the village of Kumogakure. So the two Alchem cousins resolved to go and gather information from the far and unfriendly land. On the way there Syaoran stopped in Konoha for a quick stop at Nicole's where he gave her a necklace symbolizing his love. Sanji made some cracks at him but it was all put aside.
| |
| | |
| Leaving early the next day Sanji and Syaoran made for Kumogakure. They arrived later in the day and were strangly greeted with a warm welcome. They were given a place to stay and even a tour guide. They met the local alchemist and all seemed to be going well. Though the Alchems had trouble trying to get into the works at the library the local alchemist had a private library with copies of many of the books from the library. Sanji and Syaoran delved into the area, borrowing many of the books and learning much as they skimmed through them. Though things turned sour as they tried to leave and were captured and imprisoned by the Raikage. After a long ordeal in which Sanji's sensei and an old friend of his broke them out, Syaoran and Sanji were on a bullet line for Konoha, the closest safe haven.
| |
| | |
| As they arrived they landed and stayed for the night at Nicole's house. Telling her all about it she made them great meals and gave them a place to stay. The next day they headed to the Hokage's tower and informed him of what had happened. Leaving the country and heading back to Iwa Syaoran and Sanji continued to train and rebuild the clan. Syaoran got a good amount of training in before the Chuunin Exams began.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 5: The Chuunin Exams</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Heading to Kusa Syaoran signed up and competed in the Chuunin Exams. Through each grueling test Syaoran proved his worth, and many times far exceeded the other ninja. Each test Syaoran watched as the other ninja worked hard to get through. It was obvious that he should have gone through the exam earlier in his life, if he had not been searching for his parents. He was granted the title of Chuunin and headed back towards his home village with Sanji.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 6: A Broken Heart</u></font>
| |
| | |
| On his way back he stopped in the Country of the Fire, making a visit to Nicole's house. When he arrived though he was greeted sorely. Nicole had another man in the house with her and decided it was a good time to break up with him. Giving him back the necklace he had given her she closed the door on him. Leaving the house he wandered into the forest, followed by Sanji where he took out his frustration and pain on the forest, and in the process triggered an array less transmutation, something that should be impossible for him. Sanji promptly knocked him out before he hurt himself and took Syaoran home.
| |
| | |
| Awaking in his small shack of a house Syaoran was completely depressed. He dragged around the house; despite his cousin's attempts to cheer him up he was completely out of it. He was getting over it, but slowly. As he was eating a bowl of cereal one day there was a knock at the door. An old "friend" of Sanji's and a young man Syaoran met during the chuunin exams were at the door. Apparently the man wanted Sanji to reattach a limb for the ninja. Giving Sanji assistance with this operation, Syaoran slowly lifted from his depression, if only for a little bit. The man also seemed to want Sanji's services to help him with a problem he had, though this did not involve Syaoran directly.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 7: Sirens</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Later that day as Syaoran returned from training it happened. The village sirens rang loudly and explosions could be heard near the gates. Syaoran rushed off to help and to see what he could do. The alarms only sounded during an attack. Syaoran rushed over rooftops towards the gates. He could see from his distance that they had been blown clean off the hinges, a feet that would take a large group of very powerful ninja to do. As he came upon an opening in the market he saw Sanji fighting three ninja. Not giving a moment's thought to himself he jumped down to help his cousin. During this battle Syaoran came across a peculiar fact: He could no longer activate the Sharingan. Despite this, the battle did not last long, Syaoran and Sanji were relieved and told to help the civilians. The Iwa Jounin and ANBU would be taking up the fight for them. This was the last time Syaoran saw Sanji.
| |
| | |
| Running back to his house first Syaoran immediately burning the house with alchemy, desperate to not let the clan documents be destroyed again. Syaoran then immediately left the village out the back doors, taking caverns he knew until he was far away from the village. If he ever saw or came near a Kumo ninja he would dissolve into the ground. Finding a safe place out in the middle of the Iwa wastelands, Syaoran buried all his ninja equipment under a large tree. Taking up a civilian look Syaoran blended into society and started his journey.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 8: On the Lamb</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Syaoran started off his journey heading to each of the countries in turn to collect information on the world attacks. Doing much reconisence he made away with much information. Deciding it too risky to stay in the major countires Syaoran headed for the outlands, feared he may be spotted, he spent his first year sailing between the small islands to the east of the Country of Fire, meeting people and picking up any lore on the city of Tyranical he could. He also searched for an explanation to his sudden loss of the Sharingan. It was as if the mysterious bloodline had dissolved itself away into him. The horrible visions he use to have also had resided, though he still had free memories of them in his head, almost as if he had lived two lives.
| |
| | |
| Any chance he got to practice his alchemy also he tried. Ignoring the warning Sanji had given him Syaoran was determined to control and master his seal-less alchemy. He traveled as a wandering alchemist, devoid of all ninja arts. He never once risked to try and use any ninja skills, there were Kumo officers and spies everywhere, no where was safe anymore.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 9: Knight in Shining Armor</u></font>
| |
| | |
| But one cold and rainy night Syaoran was walking down the street from the library to the inn he was staying at. He heard a scream of a lady and turned to find where it came from. Running down the street and turning a corner he saw a large group of men, seven to be exact, cornering a woman as she stumbled over herself into an alley. They chased after her and Syaoran ran to the alley. He turned and saw the men trying to undress the woman and one raised a fist to strike her. The first came down quickly but hit metal. The man yelled out and the other's jumped back in confusion. The woman had suddenly turned into a garbage can.
| |
| | |
| "Hey, ugly." Syaoran said from behind them, the girl behind him looking stunned. Syaoran was dressed in a large light brown cloak which was darkened by the rain. He wore his goggles still on his forehead, and the hood of the cloak was pulled back. Removing quick and handing the cloak to the woman Syaoran disappeared only to reappear in the middle of the group of men. Three of them went flying instantly and Syaoran struck each one. The remaining four came at him but they were two slow. Sliding under one of their arms, Syaoran threw the largest of the men over his shoulder and into two others. They hit the ground hard, and fell unconscious. The last man went to run for it but soon found to his horror, that following a snap of the fingers by Syaoran the end of the alley didn't exist. He could barely turn around before Syaoran had picked him up and pushed him against a wall, holding him two feet off the ground by the throught.
| |
| | |
| "Say your sorry to the lady." Syaoran said calmly.
| |
| "I..I...I'm s-s-sorry miss." The man said in a studdering voice.
| |
| "Tell her that what you did was the lowest thing a man to do and that you are dirt." Syaoran calmly said. The man shot Syaoran dirty look but after a little more pressure was exerted on him he squeezed out the sentence. Dropping him he snapped with his other hand and the alley ripped open again, revealing the street.
| |
| "Now go to the hospital and get your friends some help." Syaoran said as the man ran as fast as he could away. Making sure the woman was all right Syaoran escorted her home and then left quickly. Leaving the island with the NCIA on his heels he sailed off to the next island. Making it to a small island that was not occupied by Kumo, as it had only one small village on it, Syaoran made residence and laid low for six months. It was not only the lack of Kumo ninja but also the knowledge contained here in the village of 'Tooran'. The villagers were very well accomplished in alchemy and Syaoran learned a lot from their outlook. During the next six months Syaoran decided to try and do what he had always wanted to do since first hearing of Tyranical. Thus he started his construction of his flying ship. In these times though it would need a good cover as to not be caught.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 10: Tooran, A Lost Soul & The Gates of Oblivion</u></font>
| |
| | |
| During his stay in Tooran Syaoran finally came across what he thought was the answer to his lost Sharingan. While speaking with the local shaman (Yes, Tooran has a local shaman) he found a way to clear his mind. Apparently, in the depths of his mind lay another living soul which had carried on with him through the eyes. Through some work of his pure blood alchemy chakra the Sharingan eyes had literally dissolved into his own body. The Soul of the original owner, who Syaoran came to find, was named Uchiha Tsunami, now resided buried deep within Syaoran.
| |
| | |
| During his meditation with the shaman Syaoran also came across a large gate he had never seen before. It stood in front of him within in a large white are, only it was visible. It stood three stories tall and was a dark grey. Around the door were ancient alchemic symbols and arrays, and the doors seemed to be made of human parts, trying to reach out. Upon walking closer to the door it opened, very slowly. Beyond it was a mass of darkness, swirls and engulfing the light all around it. Syaoran, entranced, walked closer and closer Suddenly dark tentacles shot out of the door and grabbed his limbs, pulling at them and burning them with what felt like acid. They pulled him within the door and he could see the light fade behind him. Just as he felt as if his limbs would break off the limbs retracted in pain. Syaoran's body had begun to glow golden and he felt a warmth inside of himself. He became sleep, very sleepy...
| |
| | |
| When Syaoran came too he was back in the room with the shaman, he had awaken from hois meditation and could feel a power flowing through him. Not knowing what it was Syaoran continued normally with his days, meditating, going back to the door, but it never opened again. Slowly Syaoran began to understand. Something with Sanji and the passing of the eyes had triggered this to happen. The soul of Uchiha Tsunami was no longer with him after that day, though the memories would never fade. After months of meditation Syaoran came to the conclusion that he must have made some kind of trade with the doorway. In exchange for releasing the soul of Uchiha Tsunami he was able to gain a great path of alchemy to travel. His seal less transmutations became ten fold easier and he could control them all the time now.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 11: A Ship of Dreams</u></font>
| |
| | |
| After six months of hard work (Syaoran did not want to make it all with alchemy, where was the feeling of accomplishment in that?) he had finished the ship. The large balloon which held it aloft could be deflated and stored in the deck within a large opening in the middle. The rudder which propelled it in the air, collapsed in on itself to make an odd looking decoration on the back. Other than that it had a large mast, which could collapse into the deck in the same compartment the balloon did when not in use, and was a very sea worthy vessel. After testing it many times around the small neighboring island Syaoran set sail with his new ship. It would normally take a crew of at least 10 to sail. But with a little alchemic help, with arrays laid out through out the ship, it was easy to sail it by himself.
| |
| | |
| Syaoran lived out on his ship, enjoying weeks at sea and months at shore, always learning and trying to expand his talents. He finally took the ship inwards toward land, hiding it in a deep mine shaft, sealed in a wall where only he could find it. Making his way back for a return to Iwagakure, Syaoran prepared himself for anything.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 12: Another Uchiha</u></font>
| |
| | |
| As Syaoran headed back to the village he came across a pair of training ninja far off in the desolated areas of the Country of Earth. Upon introducing himself and speaking with them he finds that one is a jounin, who is destined to be the Tsuchikage once the rebellion is over, and the other is a Konoha ninja names Uchiha Asher. Not wasting any time, Asher and Syaoran began to spar. They did two series of spars, once under the guidance of the Tsuchikage where they could only use taijutsu (Which neither was too good at) and another with no rules. Syaoran ended up winning both of the spars, but it was just barely. The Uchiha was gaining power rapidly and would soon pass Syaoran and leave him in the dust.
| |
| | |
| Later that day, Syaoran, through use of Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and a voice amplifying technique, announced to the village of Iwagakure and the capital of Metropolis his own attentions and the state of the country. He called for them to stand and fight with him. Calling upon the pride of his nation Syaoran rallied the citizens and left them with a message, before disappearing.
| |
| | |
| Later that evening, after meeting up with Sanji and getting a hint to drop by the estates, Syaoran finds himself in front of a large tree house directed in the center of a forest which was placed on TOP of the old Alchem Clan Estates. Moving towards it he finds Sanji and Asher fighting, and seeing his cousin’s situation, joins in the fight to help him. The two of them were able to push back the Uchiha, though with much trouble. Syaoran sustained substantial damage to his stomach from a fang of Asher’s summon, though in the end it was Syaoran’s swordsmanship that was able to cut through the Uchiha’s ninjutsu defenses.
| |
| | |
| The next day Asher came back by the house to apologize and offer Syaoran and Sanji a position in his organization he was gathering. They would fight against Kumogakure and repel their empire from all of the hidden villages, and hopefully from all of the countries.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 13: Taijutsu Masters</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Asher was gone, probably to find more recruits for the organization. Sanji was also gone most of the time, as he was running around working for the NCIA. Syaoran sat alone in the house for most of the days training in secret and awaiting a summons from the Tsuchikage. One day though a young boy came to his door, thinking it was the resistance headquarters. After challenging Syaoran to a duel, which Syaoran won, he asked to join forces with Syaoran. His name was Daisuke and he was an expert of Taijutsu and hand to hand combat. They quickly became good friends and sparred regularly, which Syaoran won every time. But this did not discourage Daisuke in the slightest. He kept working and training harder and harder to one day surpass him. Training with Daisuke helped improve Syaoran’s taijutsu defense and strategies, a weak point in his style.
| |
| | |
| The next week Syaoran finally got summoned by the Tsuchikage and got his first big mission. He was to investigate the disappearance of a Tadashi Masanori. It was thought that Masanori, a taijutsu user of jounin rank and of great use to the resistance, had betrayed them and gone to the side of Kumogakure. Following a tip he got in town he Syaoran followed the trail to the Country of Fang. Once inside the capital Nigiyakashufu, Syaoran questioned under disguise as a NCIA detective about Masanori. Finding a lead he followed it out into the barren wastelands of the Country of Fang. Finding and confronting Masanori Syaoran fought viciously with him. Though positioning himself he set up a series of traps that ended with Masanori below a small cliff side. Removing his signet ring Syaoran burned the body and left the country.
| |
| | |
| Returning to the Country of Earth Syaoran met up with the Tsuchikage and returned the ring. Seeing the way the events had unfolded the Tsuchikage was saddened, but not broken. The Tsuchikage then gave the ring to Syaoran to keep. It was an Iwagakure no Sato Council ring, wore by the council members. The Tsuchikage then said,
| |
| | |
| "~The Alchem are quite resourceful aren't they. It seems quite fitting that one day the heads of Iwagakure will bow to a Tsuchikage with the Alchem family name; don't you agree Syaoran?"

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 14: Infiltration</u></font>
| |
| | |
| One day as Syaoran had finished a task for the Tsuchikage he was summoned to see him. Going with Daisuke to the Tsuchikage Syaoran was taken aside and given a mission of infiltration the Iwagakure Academy and to teach classes there and gain their trust. Sneaking down into the basement of his house, into the buried library of the Alchem clan Syaoran learned, with permission from the kage, a forbidden technique from the Divine Scroll of the 77 Forbidden Arts. He also used Alchemic Metabolism to alter his appearance so that he could easily infiltrate the school.
| |
| | |
| Upon infiltrating the academy Syaoran soon discovered he enjoyed teaching. He was a natural with children also, which came as a surprise to him. Through time and other small missions the Tsuchikage placed on Syaoran he gained their trust and led a field trip to The Country of Fang, in which Syaoran secretly obtained photographs and information about the city and it’s occupants. During this time Syaoran also heard of a devastating attack on the resistance headquarters by the NCIA. He did not know the details, but all he could do was continue his mission.
| |
| | |
| Upon returning from The Country of Fang, Syaoran found a letter on his kitchen table requesting his presence in Metropolis. So Syaoran left his identity of Novascocia Reed and left for Metropolis.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 15: Free at Last</u></font>
| |
| | |
| The streets of Metropolis were as normal as an occupied and controlled city could be. The market was closing down along with the sun, people walked the streets and the occasional NCIA guard walked about. Upon entering the city Syaoran was approached by one of these guards, a bubbly young girl named Hikari. She was making passes at Syaoran and instead of giving her the cold shoulder and possibly angering an NCIA officer, Syaoran took her out to eat. Upon her spilling her reasons for becoming part of the NCIA, Syaoran’s opinion of the meeting changed. Offering her a way out he made her a deal, but for now she would have to stay in the mess.
| |
| | |
| Leaving her in the restaurant Syaoran went to the slums, finding Hikado and obtaining from him the information he would need for his next mission. He was to set up explosive tags all across the city, many of which were on civilian buildings. Having a problem with this Syaoran approached Hikado, expressing his concern. Only after being assured that the civilians would be evacuated before they were set off did Syaoran continue with his mission. Easily moving about the city with his disguise, he planted every tag on ever mark.
| |
| | |
| The day of the music festival was upon them, and Syaoran attended with his all access pass. Enjoying the music and taking the time to cut back he let himself go, but this was short lived. Soon, though the crowd could not hear it over the music and from the shelter of the stadium, but explosions went off all over the city. Leaving the concert Syaoran made way towards the first district he could get to. Upon reaching it he found no one about, but two NCIA officers who were moving down the street fast. Tailing them Syaoran overheard them talking about calling for reinforcements and intercepted them. A brief fight ensued in which Syaoran came out victory, killing one and incapacitating the second.
| |
| | |
| Moving about the city Syaoran aided the other resistance members in their fights. By the end of the day the NCIA forces had been overwhelmed and the city was theirs. Setting up a headquarters the wounded were tended to, NCIA and resistance alike. Many of the NCIA were given the choice to switch sides, and many took the chance. The others were kept prisoner and interrogated. Finding Hikari once again, whom was thrilled to see him alive, they set off together with her friend Kia. Moving around the city searching out the Tsuchikage or any remnant forces, they eventually were lead back to the HQ. A small skirmish erupted as Hikado announced to the city that they were in control, but was quickly taken care of.
| |
| | |
| Finally Metropolis was given back its people.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 16: Formation of Team Sy</u></font>
| |
| | |
| In the aftermath of the Metropolis takeover Syaoran made friends with an odd bunch. First was Hikari, his new girlfriend, and Kia, the NCIA turncoats who both had tragic pasts with the NCIA, being forced to do their work because of their ninja skills. The third was Uchiha Nevan, a strange boy who came from Konoha a while ago and trained directly under Hikado. His strength had helped them win back Metropolis and Syaoran was glad for this.
| |
| | |
| The group was somewhat of a mismatch, and Nevan distrusting the two former NCIA, they disliking his distrust, there was a bit of tension. Syaoran on the other hand had a knack for choosing trustworthy people, and when he decided that was it. And in this situation the group spent their first night, all in the same apartment. Though things lightened up as the night went on, and Nevan, breaking his usual shell, kissed Kia in the presence of Syaoran and Hikari. Hikari on the other hand, had gotten stripped down and pleaded Syaoran to take her virginity on the kitchen table. Disgusted at this act, not only because it was too easy, but because Hikari was made to look like a slut, Syaoran denied her and told her outright. She cried and Syaoran comforted her, and explained why he did what he did. She was thankful and forgave him.
| |
| | |
| Soon the group moved back to Iwagakure and started to take missions together. Nevan and Syaoran began to bond, even though neither of them had spoken much. Their trust grew and they became like brothers. Nevan even passed the knowledge of a special technique he knew, known as Jutsu Formula.
| |
| | |
| On one such mission though, a mere border patrol, the group split up to search. Syaoran, the most powerful, was paired with Kia, the weakest of the group. As the moved around though Syaoran’s group was ambushed. In an attempt to save Kia Syaoran threw himself between her and the blade of the opponent, severing his own arm. Syaoran was left defenseless as Kia tried to help. In the last moment though Nevan appeared, thanks to the Jutsu Formula Nevan had taught Syaoran. Syaoran was carried back to the hospital, the mission a failure.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 17: Recouping</u></font>
| |
| | |
| In the ensuing days Syaoran found himself lost and confused. The loss of his arm had brought about a lot of painful memories, such as the death of his friend Daisuke, the powerless feeling he got, and his inability to protect those he cared for.
| |
| | |
| Delving into the depths of his library and using the knowledge he had gained from his parents journal, Syaoran made out to recreate his arm. It was a tiresome task, and once completed with the preparations, it would take another 700 hours, or 29 days and 4 hours to finish. Using his right arm, inversed, he calculated and created an array. Playing this array on a seal and placed it over his left shoulder. Over time the arm would slowly grow back.
| |
| | |
| One day however Syaoran was called in by Hikado for a meeting. In this meet Syaoran learned that Nevan had gone missing and it was considered that he may be conspiring with the enemy. His confusion and anger led Syaoran to explode towards Hikado during the meeting, making the kage question his ability to fight. The message was clear, Syaoran needed to focus himself. Drawing himself into his training Syaoran focused himself. His found his resolve. He would rescue Nevan, or if he was a true traitor, he would kill him himself. If Nevan had betrayed them he would depart this earth, as he would become a threat to Syaoran’s loved ones and his treasure itself, the Country of Earth.
| |
| | |
| A couple weeks later, Syaoran’s arm already grown back to the elbow, Syaoran and the rest of the village was called together. The news of the invading army to the west was announced and the lines were drawn. The army was being assembled, and Syaoran signed up without a second thought. He would not allow another disaster to befall the Country of Earth.

| |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 18: The Catalyst is Cold</u></font>
| |
| | |
| All the ninja of Iwagakure no Sato gathered at the newly instated Tsuchikage’s summit. The large number of people to show up showed the remaining force of the resistance, the fortunate and loyal people to make it through the violent revolution. Syaoran, Kia and Hikari all stood in this crowd together, awaiting Hikado to begin his speech.
| |
| | |
| When finally the man appeared, he silenced the crowd with his presence. He announced a sad bit of news though, that the forces of Yukigakure no Sato led by a third party man were launching an attack on the Country of Earth. All of the remaining people who were willing were asked to make a force to intercept them at the front lines. Syaoran was of course the first to sign up, his will to protect the citizens of the country strong as ever. Others followed his lead and soon there was an entire force of ninja marching towards the Northern Border.
| |
| | |
| When they arrived though there was much to take in, as the initial forces were already in combat with the enemy. Syaoran and the others jumped into the fighting to help as many as they could but it eventually ended up being futile. Syaoran could only do so much with his one arm. Trying to protect the girls, Syaoran took out as many Yuki ninja and mercenaries as he could, but it was to no avail. They were loosing the battle and eventually were forced to retreat. Syaoran, knowing that they would push forward to Iwagakure, had to go and inform Hikado. This meant though that he would have to leave Hikari and Kia behind to be taken care of by the retreating forces.
| |
| | |
| This was one of the worst decisions of Syaoran’s life and one of the few he regrets.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 19: Snowfall on the Stone</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Upon arriving back in Iwagakure no Sato Syaoran collapsed of exhaustion before he could carry out his message. When he awoke in a hospital the next morning it was too late, the attack had just begun and Syaoran prepared himself for another round of fighting. Cutting his way through mercenaries and Yukigakure ninja, Syaoran was lucky to not require the use of his bloodline, but it seemed luck had also deemed him another hand. There was a rumor spread from the battles in the north, that a ‘black swordsman’ was afoot and extracting revenge on the enemies of Iwagakure no Sato. Syaoran remembered what had happened, it was himself that had been the start of this rumor, and his cursed blade Hinshi. The power had overwhelmed him at one point in the north, the bloodlust had risen beyond his senses and he had struck down multiple ninja with ease before regaining himself. It was frightening, not being in control of such a fierce power…
| |
| | |
| The bulk of the Iwagakure no Sato forces had been pushed back, and through word of mouth Syaoran caught wind that the last of the forces were planning to regroup and mount a final offensive from the arena. Moving as quickly as he could Syaoran made his way across the village to the arena. Arriving he saw that the forces were already in battle with the resistance forces held up within the arena. Fighting his way in Syaoran started to help clear out the mercenary forces that fell like flies as they moved wave after wave towards the arena. Everything looked a bit hopeless as the attackers closed in, the roar of battle never ending within the stands of the arena.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 20: The Masquerade</u></font>
| |
| | |
| At the last moment as the forces closed in on the remaining Iwa ninja though, Hikado and the members of the village council appeared, throwing out devastating attacks that destroyed the Yukigakure forces. Using this as momentum, the rest of the forces pushed outward and started to repel the enemy.
| |
| | |
| Then two people appeared. The first and most noticeable was Uchiha Madara, the leader of the enemy forces approached Hikado himself, engaging him in battle. As the rest of the Yuki forces scattered, another Uchiha appeared, this one by the name of Uchiha Shinaki, cutting through the Iwagakure no Sato ninja like paper, nothing could touch him as he made his way through the crowd.
| |
| | |
| Syaoran, caught in his own battles held off the Yukigakure no Sato ninja, striking them down as he could. Within the confusion a krackle went off in his ear, his trap had been set flawlessly. With a single command a cube of purple flames flew up, engulfing the entire arena in a purple glow. It was the forces outside, they had set up a perimeter and prepared the jutsu, now no one could leave or enter the arena, even if Syaoran and Hikado were to die, the rest of the enemies that survived would have an extremely hard time leaving.
| |
| | |
| Shinaki closed in on Syaoran, after considering the option of helping Madara, found it much better to attack the Alchem instead. The two engaged in battle for a few mere seconds, before the appearance of a third and final person broke the fighting. Uchiha Nevan, Syaoran’s lost friend.
| |
| | |
| The two compromised, seeing the needlessness in their battle and turned towards the fight. Syaoran was bewildered by the appearance of Nevan. He did not know why he was there, or how. Shinaki soon explained how the two of them had been found by Madara in the unforgiving West and brought into the army to fight under him. He was like a father too both of them, and they had become like brothers.
| |
| | |
| Before Syaoran could react though, Shinaki disappeared and grabbed Nevan, lifting him up and taking off in the other direction towards the wall. Syaoran made no hesitation to chase them, he used his newly found technique, Forbidden Art #14; Flying Thunder God Technique, that had been learned through the use of the Jutsu Formula, the technique Nevan himself had taught Syaoran. Yet as he closed in on the two another unexpected thing happened, the older of the two, Shinaki, took in a deep breathe and extruded a black flame from his mouth, burning down the wall in front of him and making a way to escape. To be able to burn through that wall, the attack must have been a long secret art.
| |
| | |
| Syaoran would be damned if anyone would take Nevan from him again. No matter the reason for him being taken the first time, he would not let it happen again. Appearing between the two and the hole Syaoran held his sword at the ready, pronouncing a challenge to both Uchiha now, he would fight them both if he had to, just to make sure Nevan stayed with him.
| |
| | |
| Shinaki was full of surprises. Instead of a fight, he immediately surrendered, knowing he was at his limits after the last technique. Syaoran, who had yet to activate his own bloodline, stood floating between them, ready to arrest them both for their crimes.
| |
| | |
| Syaoran took the two with the help of an ANBU squad to the prison cells, locking them both in their own confinement and keeping them from making hand seals. He questioned each of them separately and kept their information for records.
| |
| | |
| It was not long until word of the outcome of the battle was heard. Hikado had died, along with the council members. Madara had won, and the wall had been taken down. Syaoran, after long deliberation and talking with the Uchiha, released them from the prison. If Madara was to find out they were there, he would kill his way in to release them. It was better to cut the anchor than to loose the whole ship. Neither of them though left with Madara, whether of their own choice or because he did not want them too was unknown though. Nevan was still a friend, but his trust had been diminished, and Syaoran did not know what to think of him.
| |
| | |
| Uchiha Madara left, his remaining forces with him. He walked out of the village a free man, and Syaoran vowed to find him and brign him to justice one day. Nevan had mentioned once that the man was a God, to which Syaoran had replied ‘There are no such things as Gods, only power starved fools, pointing their strength at the world in an attempt to leave a mark.’
| |
| | |
| That was what Madara really was, and that was what he would be brought down for.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 21: The Tsuchikage Canidate</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Following the aftermath of Madara, Hikari had been put into a coma and lay in the hospital of Iwagakure no Sato. Though she was Syaoran's ex-girlfriend, he still spent many hours in that room waiting for her to wake up. He also trained, but had trouble focusing his mind. The confusion that was left in Madara's wake had been terrible. Syaoran had finally decided that whatever Hikado's past had held, that Syaoran would not let it stain his memory of the man. He had fought with his heart to free Syaoran's home, and for that he was in his debt.
| |
| | |
| A week after Madara had laid waste to the village, the new Council of Iwagakure no Sato had been formed. From these senior members of the once strong resistance, an order was formed. A new Tsuchikage canidate was to be found and brought back to the village. Syaoran was given the mission to command his own team, taking them into the Eastern Oceans to find the man. Gathering Kia and Nevan together, Team Syaoran headed out towards the Eastern Oceans via Syaoran's airship. The flight took a few days, in which Kia and Nevan had fought. It seemed Nevan was unable to love her back as much as she tried.
| |
| | |
| Once in the village the team started their investigation. All they had was the name of the village and a picture, whether the man was still there or not was not guaranteed. After the first day Syaoran and his team had found no leads. The next morning, Syaoran had gotten up earlier. He had wanted to travel to a northern island to investigate a myth he had dug up on his own time. Leaving the mission to Kia and Nevan, he traveled in his ship North.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 22: Thawing Steel</u></font>
| |
| | |
| The island was cold and covered in snow. Covering his body up, Syaoran stepped foot on the abandoned island, walking the streets towards a mansion that towered the rest of the city. It was his luck, Syaoran had found, that the city had been turned a short while ago into a tourist attraction by the Water Country Expeditions company. Though either they did not do tours at this time of year, or they went out of business, because there had been no boats at the new docks, and not a soul on the island aside himself. Finding the mansion entrance finally, Syaoran hopped the tall fence and found is way inside.
| |
| | |
| Entering through the second floor window that had been broken previously, Syaoran searched the house for what he wanted to find. A legendary katana that was owned by the family of this house, royalty as they were. The 'Aisuhime', or Ice Princess, was a legendary katana told in many children's stories and myths. It supposedly brought about the downfall of this small island kingdom itself, and was lost during the final civil war that ended the civilization.
| |
| | |
| After hours of searching the entire house, Syaoran could find nothing. He was ready to give up when he came across a secret entrance under the main staircase of the house. Excited by this new find, Syaoran followed the staircase down into a hidden passageway that lead away from the mansion itself. Following it, Syaoran eventually came to a magically lit house, found in the bottom of a great chasm, the giant walls on either side of the house and pathway leading too it, stretched up above them, almost meeting at the top. Oddly enough, the temperature within the chasm was much warmer than the rest of the island.
| |
| | |
| Pushing inside the house, Syaoran found a large open dojo inside, and on the far wall was a set of samurai armor, holding a sheathed light blue blade. His heart raced, Syaoran had found the sword, but as soon as he approached it the armor moved and came to life, unsheathing the sword and attacking. Instantly, the air turned colder, and Syaoran was glad he had not taken his jacket off. Fighting back against the armor, which seemed to be controlled by the sword itself, Syaoran was able to push it back, time and time again. After a long fight, Syaoran had cornered and defeated the armor, and Aisuhime had excepted him. With a flash of white the entire dojo turned to a thin, snowing forest. All around him was pure white snow, and through the trees appeared a glowing white woman. After a brief discussion of his desires, Aisuhime's essence fused with that of Shiroiho, the katana of his family, Alchem. The blade changed form and the two became one.
| |
| | |
| Afterwards, Syaoran headed back to the island where Kia and Nevan were...
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 23: Frostbite</u></font>
| |
| | |
| When Syaoran returned, he found that Kia and Nevan were no where to be found, and that the room Kia had been staying in had been trashed. Fearing the worse Syaoran ran out, looking for the two of them. After a long series of clues, Syaoran was able to catch up with Kia, who had been tracking down the canidate. Catching up with her at a small cave at the edge of the island, rain started to pour. Seeking shelter the two of them found a cave to hide in. Once inside the cave though, they hear noises at the end of it. Following the noise they found a man trying to dig a hole in the back of a cave. Approaching him, they soon found he was the one they were searching for.
| |
| | |
| While waiting for the storm to pass in the cave, Syaoran and Kia had some alone time to talk. After sharing their feelings Syaoran confessed how worried he had been. Eventually he confessed his love for her, and she for him. The moment would have been more endearing, had the Tsuchikage candidate not interrupted it.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 24: The Hourglass of Wind</u></font>
| |
| | |
| After coming back from the search for the candidate Syaoran and Kia were able to get some time alone, but not much. Within the next few days Syaoran had to get moving, the resistance needed to recruit before the NCIA got to aggressive, hindering movement more so than it always was. The first target was Sunagakure no Sato and the Country of Wind. Having met up with Uchiha Shinaki, and Kia insisting to travel with Syaoran, the three of them headed out. It was not long before they arrived at the village, and after infiltrating the walls they were soon met by a trap laid by the NCIA, aware of their presence. Syaoran, unable to avoid the trap because of his kind nature, took off with Kia to the outstretches of the village, far into the desert. This would be the last time Syaoran would see Shinaki, the Uchiha would disappear into the crowds of Sunagakure no Sato never to be heard from again.
| |
| | |
| In the desert, the plan was launched against Syaoran, two leaders of the Sunagakure no Sato NCIA forces attacked the man, and a third attacked Kia. With the help of his summon, Makera, and his newly developed attack Secret Steel Type; Crash Down of the Tempered Colossus (Hagaton Hijutsu; Seiren Yajuu no Kouhyou) Syaoran was able to defeat the duo. In the last moments, after his supporting officer had sacrificed her life to save him, the commanding officer of the NCIA tried to bluff Syaoran out of killing him. Syaoran's katana found its way through his chest midway through his sentence.
| |
| | |
| Returning to the village with Kia with the help of Flying Thunder God, Syaoran was able to rest for a moment before returning to his search for the resistance. Or he would have, had they not come to him. Syaoran met up with two Genin and a Jounin, Kouta. Upon hearing their story, Syaoran, Kouta and Kia went off to help the Sunagakure no Sato resistance, which was being raided by the NCIA. Upon reaching the underground caverns they tracked down a group that was about to be wiped out by the NCIA. Within this group was Nakamura Natalie, a Chuunin within the resistance originally from Konohagakure no Sato. They group engaged in battle and soon the last of the NCIA escaped, one of them dying.
| |
| | |
| The small group, trying to save as many lives as possible, pushed on to try and find more resistance members fighting. Against the wishes of Syaoran, Kouta insisted they continue on, and within the process they ran into the group of NCIA led by the girl whom they had let escape earlier. After an intense fight in which Syaoran's group began to loose, and a new resistance member came into the fight by the name of Hyuuga Yakato, Syaoran decided that if he did not take measures to save the team they would soon loose, and he would not have enough power to do anything. Syaoran created a large wall in between the NCIA and the resistance group, leaving himself and Kia on the far side.
| |
| [[Image:Syaoran-strong-color.jpg|thumb|360px|Syaoran with Kia's body in his arms.]]
| |
| Had Syaoran been more powerful or if Kia had not been so close to the enemy he may have been able to save her. Had he been faster, had just a small bit of chakra left, or any other circumstance were within his grasp other than the ones at that time, he may have been able to stop the fatal blow that would be struck by the very girl whom Kia had let run free earlier. Arriving a second to late Syaoran grabbed Kia, teleporting out of the cavern and back into the shop, Kia's dying form in his arms. Within that small tailoring shack in the streets of Sunagakure no Sato Onkyou Kia died in Syaoran's arms.
| |
| | |
| Once the rest had met back in the tailoring shop, Syaoran would teleport them out of the country to safety, the lives that had been saved and the one that he had lost weighing heavily on him.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 25: Return to the Coffin</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Back in the Country of Earth, following a funeral ceremony for Kia, Syaoran was invited to be part of the Iwagakure no Sato council. Though he was still mourning, he had to go on with his duties, the first of which was a request from a man that claimed to be the leader of the Suna resistance. Upon the request of this man Syaoran assembled a team to head back to Soma, in the Country of Wind, and help the revolution that had started in response to the destruction of the resistance. Choosing to take Kouta, Yakato and Hikari, whom had woken from her coma, Syaoran and his team headed out.
| |
| | |
| Arriving at Soma, they were confronted with a raging town. The citizens were up in arms trying to overthrow the goverment.
| |
| | |
| The team plunged through the fighting, not engaging anyone outside of the central palace where the daiymo of the city lay protected. It did not take much for the team of four to sail over the wall and punch a hole into the side of the building, coming across the man who hired them as they did. The team snuck inside, disguised as NCIA agents in hopes of getting further without notice due to the confusion of the riots. They were able to make it through much of the building before being lured into a trap in which they thought they had the daiymo cornered. Instead they were forced to fight a team of four like themselves. Unlikely though, team Syaoran showed their talent, and within seconds the entire other team was dispatched. Hikari had used a genjutsu to confuse the enemies while the other three had moved in. Hiding his abilities to make him look like the weak link in the fight, Syaoran burst out at full power, instantly killing the leader of the cell and scattering the others. With all of them killed, but no leads as to where the daiymo really was, the team headed off again deeper into the area.
| |
| | |
| It was not long before they found an armored hideout below the palace itself where the daiymo and a small armada of guards were holed out. The team punched through, taking out as many as they could as the man who hired them moved in. In short, all the guards were taken care off and the daiymo was killed by the hands of the man whom hired them. As they were ready to leave what could only be presumed to be the head of the NCIA in Suna by her uniform walked in with an accomplice, saw that they were late to save the daimyo, made a comment about burgers and disappeared.
| |
| | |
| The team headed back to Iwagakure no Sato, mission accomplished.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 26: Surfing in the North</u></font>
| |
| | |
| It was not long before Syaoran was given another mission, this time for a team of two. Taking Hyuuga Yatako with him this time, they two headed to the Northern Sea, a stretch of water and islands that spreads from the shores of the Country of Earth to the steeps cliffs of the Country of Lighting. Their mission was to locate an island facility operated by the NCIA and confirm the existence of a clan that was being researched there. The two traveled by way of Syaoran's ship, keeping to the water. It was not long until they found a small inhabited island and decided to take a look around. They duo met an elder man, and were invited to his house for dinner. Happily obliging, they took him up on the offer and went inside, only to for Syaoran to be poisoned and Yatako to be taken prisoner. Syaoran, using his Alchemic Metabolism to stop the beating of his own heart, faked his death due to the poison which had no effect on him. He was taken to the NCIA facility and placed in a morgue/ holding area that was used for medical reasons and as a storage while they checked a body for bounty costs.
| |
| | |
| Syaoran broke free of his room, and easily found Yatako as well. The two broke free, and after inspecting the facility decided there was nothing of interest left there. The information they had been following must have been to late, the NCIA had moved their research. Heading to the basement the two used a series of Earth jutsu to destroy the foundation of the entire complex, causing it to cave in on itself. The two then headed back to Iwagakure no Sato to report their findings.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 27: Invasion of Fang & The Exploding Man</u></font>
| |
| | |
| Upon returning, Syaoran and Yatako would be given a short time to rest, but within the day the forces of Iwagakure no Sato and the combined effort of the world would prepare to move against the Country of Fang. Syaoran himself, at the request of the Iwagakure Council, would act as a messenger between themselves and Kirigakure. Iwa would lead the assault from the north, using train and a small fleet of airships to invade the city. Syaoran himself was in charge of only a small section of the Iwa army, and was himself at the head of the air fleet. Upon arrival, they would land their ships in the market, spreading out and quickly taking the entire district, setting up a temporary headquarters in the train station where the main ground forces had made their own Trojan Horse entrance. The forces would quickly be sent out, clearing the area and setting up a border. Syaoran himself was sent to take out one of the cardinal direction headquarters of the NCIA in the city. On his own he would bring the eastern headquarters to the ground, dispatching the entire division on his own.
| |
| | |
| It would not be long though before an unknown force would start striking the resistance in the market, and Syaoran was sent to find out what it was immediately. In a hollowed area of the market Syaoran would find his enemy, Momochi Rakurai, the general of all of Fang's NCIA forces. The two would fight, and Rakurai with his incredible taijutsu abilities would come down fiercely on Syaoran. Gate after gate would open, the man giving to heed to his own safety. He was also incredibly fast, so fast that Syaoran would understand why his men had thought he was able to manipulate space. Syaoran would try and strike back, but it would soon end up being a game of defenses, Syaoran just trying to save his body from being blow into nothing. It was soon evident that the man was able to bend space and time with mere taijutsu, with the gates open he could rip through dimensions and cause devastating reactions to the surrounding area.
| |
| | |
| The battle intensified, and Syaoran knew he had to save his strength for the next opponent. This man may be the leader of the forces in Fang, but there was still the Raikage beyond him. To this end, Syaoran would take an alternate strategy than brute force. As the man opened the final Celestial Gate, the Death Gate, Syaoran knew the clock was set. He had never known anyone in this age to be able to or willing to open the Death Gate, but studies were known and the results were certain. His opponent would die, the only problem was how many would he take with him. Rakurai would punch of Syaoran with devastating force, ripping a portal into Suna from the small marketplace. If it was not for Syaoran's own ability to manipulate space and time, he would have been dead in the deserts of Suna.
| |
| | |
| The fight was becoming too dangerous for the city itself, and Syaoran knew this immediately. However, he could not simply run and hope that the man would follow. If Syaoran teleported away and left the man in the city, he may level the entire resistance force rather than follow the single opponent. Even worse, he could bend space and time, so he may just go and level the entire city of Iwagakure no Sato. Rakurai did know of the timer ticking down on his life, he would not waste this power. So Syaoran declared his intentions, and moved the fight to the Norther Sea, where Syaoran and Yatako had been only a few days before.
| |
| | |
| So the fight continued on the small island in the remote Northern Sea. It continued for the precious minutes left in Rakurai's life until it came to a final decisive blow. In the crater that was now the former island, Rakurai would give his life in a final attack to wipe Syaoran from the face of the planet. Converting all of the energy in his own body, Rakurai would become a human nuclear warhead. With a massive explosion he would take out a a giant portion of the Northern Sea in a use of nuclear fission that the world had never seen before. Syaoran, though he was tempted to stay as long as possible and observe this once in a lifetime event, was eventually overrun by self preservation and activated Flying Thunder God at the last moment, bringing himself back to the Country of Fang. The battle was over and two important facts had been learned. The Death Gate could be beaten, and a Jutsu Formula could be destroyed.

| | |
| The time had come, the final battle was upon Syaoran. An impromptu group of eight ninja gathered at the NCIA headquarters in the capital, some of them the brightest and best of the resistance. These eight, who would later become known as the ‘Hachinin’, consisted of Akasabure Kouta of Sunagakure no Sato, Cho Hakkai and Kinsen 'Raz' Rasen of Otogakure no Sato, Haramatsu Korin of Kusagakure no Sato, Hisame Haruyuki and Umikoi Warrusu za Shichi of Kirigakure no Sato, Hyuuga Yatako of Konohagakure no Sato and of course Syaoran himself. Syaoran, injured from exposure to the radioactive attack in his previous battle and exhausted from the fight as well, insisted on fighting the Raikage alone as to eliminate the chance of others being hurt in the battle. Though the others would resist, it would soon play out to none of their plans. Before the fight even began, as Syaoran gave the Raikage one last chance to end the conflict peacefully, the Raikage would use a lightning jutsu on Tsukishi Maomi, whom would be shot and murdered in cold blood. Maomi, Syaoran’s jounin teacher from when he had first graduated from the academy, would be the catalyst to the start of the fight.
| |
| | |
| The Hachinin would immediately be broken into groups, Syaoran going to fight the Raikage one on one as the other seven would fight his elite guard. Syaoran, weakened and tired from his battles, would barely be able to hold his own against the powerful enemy. The palace grounds were surrounded by a barrier placed by the resistance forces to contain the battle, and quickly the power of Syaoran’s jutsu would rip the tower where they fought apart, destroying the top where the Raikage stood and placing the two in heated battle. The other seven would make due work of their elite guards, using teamwork and skill to knock them out one by one as Syaoran kept the Raikage himself busy, slowly sliding closer and closer to losing.
| |
| | |
| At a peak moment, Syaoran would find an opening in the Raikage’s movement and as the opponent sent a spear at point blank towards the Alchem, he would return with his own specialty attack. The two would strike each other, Syaoran suffering a gaping hole in his chest and the Raikage losing his own hand in the process. For Syaoran, his lung had collapsed to become useless and his left arm was all but useless as the muscles had been torn apart. His respiratory system was unneeded however, thanks to his bloodline, and his bleeding had immediately stopped as well. The fight would move to a battle of summoned creatures, the gigantic boss creatures that emerged would find themselves in close combat within the palace grounds.
| |
| | |
| The Raikage would retreat back as the battle neared an end, and with the last of his power would begin to channel a massive attack. Just as he neared completing it though, Syaoran would use his ability to teleport along with a well laid trap in order to appear directly in front of the Raikage, swinging forward and stabbing the man through the chest with his devastating attack. It would work, but the built up energy for the man’s attack would still be let loose, flying through the group like a shockwave of deadly electrical energy. Syaoran would quickly use the last ounces of strength he had to encase himself in a ball of rubber, falling to the ground with devastating force and landing unconscious.

| | |
| Syaoran would not hear it himself, but as he lay unconscious after the battle, the Raikage finally defeat, a cryptic message would be delivered to all who stood.
| |
| | |
| “ On our…zero hour, five Gods will emerge…bearing a message of…peace. Five Champions will…shine their light across the world. Five…Countries will go to war. W-when the…Shadows fall, and the oceans t-turn to red…the Gods will fade with our light. A-and on that final night…we’ll venture through the darkness I-into…the Jashin’s w-waiting arms. The Dark God is coming. He loves you so much…”
| |
| | |
| Its meaning was not known by anyone there, but in time it would surely make more sense.
| |
| | |
| Waking up in a medical tent, Syaoran would find himself bandaged and cleaned. Those in the fight and his friends from before would come to visit him, and he would soon learn that the fight had been won thanks to his final act to bring the mad man to his knees in front of the resistance forces. Syaoran would soon move from the tent however to move among the Country of Earth’s forces and soon found himself among allies. It was here, in the wake of victory, that Syaoran would be approached by the remaining members of the Iwagakure no Sato council and be asked to take on the title of Tsuchikage. He at first protested, but would gladly accept after some convincing.
| |
| | |
| And thus Alchem Syaoran would become the Juusandaime (13th) Tsuchikage of Iwagakure no Sato.

| |
| | |
| Syaoran, looking to help the fallen capital of Fang return to its feet, would seek out a task that would help the city. He would soon find that there was a mysterious silence from an important mining operation in the further reaches of the country and that it needed to be investigated. Upon arrival, Syaoran would find clues of foul play, including a dead body and a strange machine within the mine shaft. Shutting down the machine, Syaoran would be forces to flee from the cave as it collapsed. Without any concrete evidence or direction, he planned to return to the city and report his findings. On his way back, however, Syaoran would find a group of men transporting a cargo towards the mine itself. Intercepting the package, Syaoran would find out through trial and error that the package was actually explosives mean to kill whoever opened them.
| |
| | |
| In his attempts to find the origin of the package, Syaoran would come into contact with an elderly gentleman by the name of Genjo. Genjo, was more than met the eye, and it was soon revealed that he was a trained ninja in hiding. Syaoran was taken to Genjo’s acquaintance Yasui and because of Syaoran’s potential skill, was asked to participate in a battle with the man. The outcome of said battle would determine the end of the elderly men’s lives if it came out in Syaoran’s favor, due to a pack the men had made a long time ago to end themselves if their lives came to this point. Syaoran, however, proposed a compromise, in which the two men would join his village as teachers so that they could pass on their skill and knowledge to another generation. Genjo enjoyed the thought while Yasui did not.
| |
| | |
| So Syaoran and Yasui battled… in a game of Go. It took many hours, but in the end Syaoran came out on top and Yasui prepared to end his own life and Genjo’s… by force. Syaoran, seeing the danger of Yasui, removed himself and Genjo from the situation, making the decision that a man as unstable as Yasui would not make a fine teacher after all. In the end, he saved Genjo from Yasui’s rage and gained another teacher for the village.

| | |
| Syaoran, invited by Warrusu, traveled to the Country of Water to oversee the G.E.R.T. event as a special guest. The event was rather uninteresting to Syaoran, though he stayed as a courtesy to the country. It was not until the second event, a one on one tournament, that Syaoran's attention was caught. A young woman whom looked and possessed the same abilities as Kia was fighting in one of the matches, and as Syaoran caught the last of her fight she would exit the arena. Catching up to her, Syaoran confronted her about her identity. He quickly found that she had no memory of him, or of anything before a few days ago. He also noticed that this woman was a few years older than Kia, lacking any sign of scarring or damage anywhere on her body, though it would not be until later that he found that out. After a heart felt and confusing conversation, they went their separate ways for the night.
| |
| | |
| The next day, returning with two guards as he had more time to prepare, Syaoran sat to watch the fiinal event of the competition, a two on two match in which the mysterious young woman would participate. Syaoran, unable to know if this was really Kia or not, was concerned with keeping her safe and watching over her in order to try and unravel her forgotten past. As the match was about to begin though, a terrorist group attacked the village, causing Syaoran and his two guards to take action to protect Kia whom had been secretly declared a V.I.P. by the Country of Earth. Syaoran engaged in battle with three members of this organization, two of which were near matched to his own abilities. If it had not been for the quick action of his body guards, his own quick thinking and the short duration of the sortie he may have sustained more serious injuries than the lightning burn to his side. One of his body guards had sustained a deep cut to the shoulder blade. Luckily, Syaoran was able to quickly transport him back to Iwagakure no Sato for medical treatment.
| |
| | |
| Upon returning, with the terrorist group retreated, Syaoran would move to figure out the situation. He soon, however, found himself in the room of the woman named Kia. He had been called there by her with the use of a Jutsu Forumla he had given her. As expected, it did not take long for their emotions and hormones to boil over, and the two took to fornication. In the morning, Syaoran would have to leave and report back to his village, and with a very unceremonious goodbye he would leave Kia. If he knew all of what he came to know he would have probably taken a few more moments to make that goodbye more memorable.

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 32: Formation of the I.A.F.; AA 2110</u></font>
| |
| | |
| As Tsuchikage, Syaoran made two major efforts in his new position. The first, which was publicly known, was the formation and creation of the Iwagakure Air Federation, or more commonly referred to as the I.A.F. The purpose to the I.A.F. was to protect the borders of the Country of Earth from invasion, which had been proven by current history to be a common occurrence for the nation. The idea of a flying ship, originally prototyped by Syaoran himself and used effectively in the invasion of Fang, was one that lent itself perfectly to the Country of Earth as a means to traverse the often harsh terrain and keep an eye on the mountainous environment of the country. The first designs for the organization lent itself to a small amount of elite ninja who would keep watch on the important cities to warn of imminent attacks. The first two ports were built at the same time as the organization was created, one in the village of Iwagakure no Sato and another in the north to provide a second point in which ships could dock and refuel. Shortly after a third port was built in Metropolis as a means of protection for the city.
| |
| | |
| At the same time, a second project went on outside the borders of the Country of Earth and was kept from the public eye. Syaoran, making arrangements with the Country of Lightning’s new government, signed agreements that would instill a long lasting research and cleanup study of the nuclear explosion that was caused in the Northern Sea. Because of its potential dangers to the shoreline of the Country of Lightning and a smaller country to its south, the new goverment allowed Syaoran and his cousin Sanji to conduct research and lead a team of researchers to do a long term study of the impact zone. The researchers, who were mostly supplied from the Country of Lightning, would conduct tests along the shoreline within an extended radius of the blast. Because this was the first explosion of its kind to ever happen on the continent there was no information as to what the long term effects of it may be. The name of this agreement between the two countries, and later the name of the entire project, was dubbed the Rakurai Pact, named after the man who had caused the damage himself.
| |
| | |
| During this time Syaoran had lost contact with Kia, her bracelet being left behind as she disappeared again. He spent weeks looking for her but it seemed as if she had vanished from the face of the planet.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 33: Fallout Boy; AA 2111</u></font>
| |
| | |
| As the I.A.F. grew in size and got a considerably stable start, Syaoran handed the organization over to a trusted member of the Iwagakure no Sato Council. So it was in the late Spring of the year 2111 that Syaoran appointed Loyola Nine as the Admiral of the I.A.F. From this point on Syaoran would play a back seat to the organization, giving input and feedback on ideas but not being directly responsible for decisions on its development. However, if a time of war was to come upon them Syaoran would step back in as the Fleet Admiral of the entire I.A.F. in order to conduct war time measures.
| |
| | |
| It was at the conclusion of his position at the head of the I.A.F. that Syaoran found himself studying and experimenting with ninjutsu involving the human body. Keeping these experiments private to all, he would often work late into the night writing out papers and reading past speculation on the idea. It was the finding and then again loss of Kia that had sparked his interest, because if her body was in fact created it meant that it was possible to clone a person and bring them back after death. If he could prove that this was possible then maybe when he saw her again he could prove that she was who she was. Though the logic behind his drive was not sound, and he was aware that it was not, Syaoran continued researching when he had free time regardless.
| |
| | |
| The Rakurai Pact Project had been going smoothly, or as smoothly as the investigation of a nuclear blast can go. The researchers had been piecing together what evidence they had found, and through a series of consequences they had determined that the immediate coast, about a forty mile stretch, was contaminated in a way that had left dozens of fishermen and other people dead, with many more sick and in hospitals from unknown illnesses. Syaoran and Sanji concluded that there was some type of fallout from the blast, resulting in a radiation poisoning that they had thought only possible from the initial blast. Apparently, following the explosion, water and earth particles had been tossed high into the air and radiated, in which they had fallen down onto the surrounding area and moved with the water current and wind. However, because the existence of fallout had not even been thought about until nearly a year after the detonation it was near impossible to tell the extent of the damage. The coastline, a forty mile stretch, was evacuated by the Country of Lightning and the southern country’s government, though it was explained as being a bad disease due to fish contamination. By fall of the same year the Rakurai Pact Project had officially been changed from a research team to a cleanup team. Testing and damage assessment was still being done, along with research, but the majority of the work was put towards containing the area and discovering the reach of the radiation. They were still unsure of how to clean an area that was populated with radioactive dust particles.

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 34: Snow's Tension; AA 2112</u></font>
| |
| | |
| It was nearing his third year as Tsuchikage when relations with the Country of Snow began to reach a problematic stage. Because of the attack and invasion of the Country of Earth over three years ago tensions had been high, and with the steady increase of power and size that the I.A.F. was gathering the northern bordering country grew more and more weary of its southern neighbor. Citizens of the Country of Earth also called for the Tsuchikage to reach some kind of treaty with the Country of Snow. However, after many talks and meetings no agreement could be made as the Country of Snow would stubbornly refuse to remove its arms near the border of Earth, and because of which Syaoran refused to re-station the I.A.F. ports that were built along the Snow border.
| |
| | |
| In addition, Syaoran continued as he could to visit and meet with each of the kages around the world. Where there were no Kages, such as in Kirigakure no Sato, Syaoran would get an update from the highest authority he could. In this way he tried to keep updates on world events and to keep his relations with each counrty.
| |
| | |
| During these tense times, Syaoran would continue work on the Rakurai Pact Project, though he would find himself distracted and would often leave it in the hands of Sanji for weeks at a time. The cleanup was slowly starting around the coastline, and by the end of the year it would be estimated at 20% complete.
| |
| | |
| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 35: Prime Minister & Tsuchi Yuki Border Agreement; AA 2113</u></font>
| |
| | |
| With the political stress increasing on the Country of Earth, the citizens decided to appoint a new Prime Minister for the entire Country of Earth. Since the freedom of the Country a new Minister was never appointed as the Tsuchikage had run the entire country in a sort of martial law. And until the diplomatic problems with the Country of Snow the citizens seemed content with this type of system. Though this would displace the power Syaoran had held, it would also free him up to concentrate on certain matters that would more directly concern with the safety of the country as a whole. A systematic voting system would be set up and a young man by the name of Daniel Hollows would be elected by the end of Fall that year. He would be the first Prime Minister of the Country of Earth since before the Kumogakure no Sato Empire was formed.
| |
| | |
| During this time as the Country of Earth returned to a democratic state, reorganizing its internal structure, diplomacy continued on with the Country of Snow with Syaoran leading the delegations up until the end of Fall when Hollows would take over. During this time though Syaoran was able to manage a non aggression pact named the “Tsuchi Yuki Border Agreement of 2113”. In this treaty both countries were entitled to keep a monitored number of military forces upon their own sides, but with a demilitarized zone of five miles in either direction from the border. This helped to relieve much of the tension between the two countries and pushed the conflict back to the background of the world.
| |
| | |
| As the Rakurai Pact Project continued they would learn more of the damage the nuclear fallout had caused (this was the name they decided upon for the poisonous radioactive particles that had spread from the explosion). Though the coastline itself was manageable over a long period of time and was slowly getting cleaned, a significant portion of the radioactive material had been carried by the sea. Due to currents it had caught a significant portion on the Jai-Jio Reef off the coast of a peninsula to the North West and caused massive death of natural wildlife in the area. The Kumogakure no Sato government was charged with a task of setting up patrols around the reef and sectioning it off as it contained miles of contaminated reef that had caught and held the fallout particles. On the coastline, by the end of the year, they had claimed to be 50% complete with the cleaning process.

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 36: Western Earth Invasion & Tsuchi Yuki Aggression Declaration; AA 2114</u></font>
| |
| | |
| In the Spring of the year, just as the season readied to turn to Summer, there was a raid of a significant sizing from the Wild West. These dozen or so groups of traveling bandits and raiders were lead under a single control, making them much more dangerous than the normal intrusive force. As these groups of mountain bandits would terrorize the western portions of the Country of Earth, Syaoran authorized the use of the IAF to counteract the small invasion. The raiders, whose goal was to extend their control from the Wild West to the mountains on the Country of Earth’s western border, were taken by complete surprise as the sky above them was parted by the ships of the IAF. This was the first use of the IAF as a defensive strike force, and as a demonstration of power Loyola Nine gave orders to hold back no power. The bandits were destroyed by the ninja as they came from the sky, chakra powered cannons fired down on the raiders from the sky and they could do nothing but run. Many of the raiders were killed, some were captured and even fewer would be able to retreat. After the third successful interception and destruction of a raider force they all began to retreat and return to the Wild West. This conflict would be known not by the order numbers that were given, but history would name it the Western Earth Invasion. Loyola Nine would receive the majority of credit for the victory, while Syaoran and Daniel Hollows would receive some noteworthy mentions in the motion. The entire course of events lasted five days.
| |
| | |
| Relations with Yukigakure no Sato to try and find a more peaceful negotiation than the Tsuchi Yuki Border Agreement of 2113 continued into fall of the year. It was only then, after a full year of negotiations that Daniel Hollows would declare the Country of Snow unable to be reasoned with. He then declared the Tsuchi Yuki Aggression Declaration. This declaration, signed by Daniel Hollows, Alchem Syaoran and Loyola Nine, stated that any aggressive action from the Country of Snow would be seen as an act of war and would be met with the necessary force of a wartime state. The declaration was meant to show the power and resolve of the Country of Earth, but in the long run would create even more tension with the northern country. However, after the Western Earth Invasion, the Country of Snow did not make any statement towards the Country of Earth’s declaration.
| |
| | |
| In addition, Syaoran would be keeping up with the events of the world through bi monthly visits with the kages of each country. Syaoran was taking particular interest in the building problems in the Country of Rice Fields and Water, though he did not move to involve the Country of Earth in either of the problems.
| |
| | |
| The Rakurai Pact Project continued smoothly, the coastline cleaning process continuing at a slow and steady pace week after week. The research parties were more interested in the events that happened at the Jai-Jio Reef. Buoys and line were set up around the entire reef with hazardous signs to warn fishing and traveling boats to avoid the area. A few coast guard ships would watch the couple mile stretch of reef, keeping any civilian boats from entering. Researcher vessels, with proper protection from radioactive materials, would continue to watch and learn from the damaged reef, working around the clock to contain and understand the damage. By the end of 2114 the coastline cleaning process was reported at 80% completion.

| :<font size="3"><u>Chapter 37: Rising Tensions; AA 2115</u></font>
| |
| | |
| By the beginning of Summer, there was problems with the Yukigakure no Sato border. Intelligence had gathered that the country had begun to move their military forces on the border and that their numbers had increased. Though they had not entered the demilitarized zone, they had begun to build upon it for the first time in a year and a half. This caused a new set of meetings between Daniel Hollows and the totalitarian government in the Country of Snow. Syaoran was not in attendance with these meetings, but because of the intrinsic military involvement with the border problem he was constantly updated on the situation as the Country of Snow refused to stop militarized production. They were informed that continued militarization would be seen as an act of war, though Syaoran doubted the truth behind this statement even as Daniel Hollows announced it at a speech in Metropolis.
