Biography

Hikado's history is a debate among many scholars. It is known that before the Kumogakure Empire he was not a part of the Iwagakure no Sato ninja forces. He was never registered in the village at all and there were no records showing that he lived in Metropolis. This, however, does not contradict his story that claimed he grew up in the slums of Metropolis where the census was notoriously bad as many people went homeless or worse.

During the Yukigakure Invasion, Uchiha Madara claimed that Hikado's real name was Yoshikazu and that he was a native of Yuki no Kuni. He supposedly was a guard to the princes herself and betrayed her by killing a contingent of her honor guards in a failed assassination attempt before fleeing the country. One account claims to have heard Hikado in his final moments while fighting Madara claim that this was truth, but that he had been betrayed by the government of Yuki no Kuni and the assassination attempt was on his own life. In both accounts of this Yuki no Kuni past he not only betrayed Yukigakure no Sato, but also betrayed Iwagakure no Sato. In the single eyewitness report it was claimed that Hikado said he did so in order to protect Yukigakure no Sato in some sort of bargain. Details are few because most Iwagakure ninja near the battle were taken in the final attack that took Hikado's life, leaving few witnesses. Alchem Syaoran's own account discredit's this witness, claiming to not have heard any such admission.

What is certain is that Koizumi Hikado appeared during the early days of the resistance, organizing and leading the ninja of Iwagakure no Sato against the Empire of Kumogakure. He eventually lead them to victory, earned the title of Tsuchikage and carried it proudly for three months before falling in the battle against the Yukigakure no Sato forces at the hand of Madara. Though his true past is a mystery, many choose to look at his last few years of life and remember a man who was loyal to Tsuchi no Kuni and did great things for its people.

Personal Quote(s)

“Thanks to our dear friends of the media we are seen as terrorists regardless you realise. The mission. I ask the question. How do you determine a citizen from a soldier? When we fight against Kumo, you'll find that Kumo's military force largely consists of 'regular' people, with the exception of the higher ranking officers and of course the NCIA. In any case, they'll both have to be killed. Those civilian targets are actually stores run by members of the governing council of Iwa. The council of politicians that has been enforced by Kumo directly own these stores and all revenue goes directly to them. A means to fill their bursting bellies if you will. Funds generated from the commercial area's outlined do not generate any revenue for our country. Yes we could keep them, but in our Uprising we want to make a significant impact on those who look down on us. That we have great intelligence on them as they have little on us. That we will be are more than just a thorn in their side. The banks. Thanks to our imposed Government you'll find that the average citizen is being taxed nearly fifty percent of their annual income. Where does this tax go? Not to rebuilding the cities and the villages. But to Kumo and generating its weapons and oiling its army, feeding the bellies of its children while ours starve. In destroying the banks we will 'supposively' destroy the taxation records, revenue records and such. In fact, we have several operations to retrieve all such information. Although we are destroying the banks, the great 'heist' will be of the knowledge and money itself. Everyone will be fully reimbursed and have their taxation cut significantly. We don't want to just cripple Kumo and rattle their cages, we want to tear them apart and obliterate the cage. Our impact will set path for other nations to follow suit once word has spread of our success.”

“It's Hikado. Your web of lies won't fool the people of Iwa. My people.”

“And I killed you that day Madara.”

“F.. Forgive me.”
