About

A firm believer that "All work and no play makes Kai a dull boy", Malachi Kuroki is equal parts playful and playboy. Flippant and flirtatious, Kai often seems to missing the brain/mouth filter, resulting in him saying exactly what he thinks regardless of how lewd or offensive it may be. Because of his loud and rambunctious behavior, first impressions rarely see Kai as the Jounin and Commander that he is capable of being. However, under his lighthearted and carefree nature lies an experienced and accomplished fighter who has served as a ninja for most of his life. The magnetic properties of his chakra makes him a valuable asset on any IAF Airship, and his quick wit is only a mask for his otherwise sharp and driven mind. Because of his smaller stature and carefree nature, people are quick to underestimate his abilities, something that Kai is all to happy to use to his advantage.

Due to his long career as an Iwagakure Ninja and later Resistance Member, Kai was able to transition fairly easy into the newly established Iwagakure Air Federation. He's made a lot of friends and acquaintances throughout the years giving him connections to almost every ship, and his prying and nosy nature means he knows something about everyone. Having served aboard Destroyers and Dreadnaughts, those who only know Kai by his reputation view his position on a Frigate under Zarek Raine to be either punishment or an indication that the tenacious Commander is losing his touch. However, those who are aware of Kai's friendship with the Yuki-born see it more as a personal favor, and perhaps a way to make sure that Kai will always be close enough to protect his quiet, reserved friend.

Despite his hedonistic qualities, Kai is a big softy at heart. He cares strongly about the people he serves with, even if he doesn't always choose the best ways of showing it. There are strong empathetic and protective streaks, hidden somewhere beneath his pursuits of pleasure and self gratification. If pushed, Kai does not hesitate to fight back using whatever means necessary, especially when it comes to protecting those under his charge.
