He is the great grandson of Danzo Shimura and carries on his lineage's line of duty to the Leaf, although not quite as extreme or foolish to lead ROOT. Despite his apparent opposite nature to the Hokage, he does not disrespect the man, yet would never wager to put the village on the line. Raijuta is a masterful jutsu creator, attempting to create a new line of 'legendary' techniques, as well as trying to recover those lost from Konoha.

Personality
Raijuta is a man in control, or at least he appears to be and likes to see himself as one. He is powerfully manipulative and charismatic, setting up scenarios to fall the way he wills by simple psychological games. He often feeds off what he believes a subject wants most although he never demands them to listen, he convinces them that they are doing his bidding by their own free will. Sometimes, they are, but it removes him from blame. His methods are effective, though arguably unfair and yet this is what's necessary to support his job. Raijuta is a humble man though, inasmuch as he would never sign an autograph or aim to be the center of a child's story. He does what he needs to because he needs to. A nice little quirk he has is that he doesn't like rooms. He calls them "mini-prisons".
Biography
Raijuta was never liked as a child, primarily because the name Shimura left a bad taste in many's mouths. It was mainly by adults though, children didn't seem to mind or know the name Danzo until their upper years at the academy. That was fine by him, although he did get a little lonely at times, which led him to "make friends", and in his terms it meant create a mutual play agreement between the parties at hand. He was actually kind of popular at the academy simply because he was incredibly smart, but he never boasted it. Unlike Amanohara Konpeki, who was a little smarter and let everyone know it. They were interesting characters apart, but together in a team, they made any teacher uncomfortable to be taught by. In fact, it was rumored that these boys learned more form each other than from their instructor, until more demanding instructors came their way. The third on their team Ehime Yasuhiro was the least known of the two, but he would always serve as a confident of the pair that kept them functioning. After they graduated, the boys kept in contact, but a division grew among them. Konpeki grew to greatness, even Hokage and Raijuta was merely in his shadow- the great tale of the Shimura. Unlike his kinsman, Raijuta didn't mind it as much, although he was jealous. This drove him to vigorous studies of ninjutsu.
When the NCIA hit, Raijuta was furious Konpeki selected Yamamoto Hiruki to help him defend the village instead of himself. Although later he recognized that the denial was actually faith that he would protect Konoha should anything adverse happen to Konpeki, which it did. Despite this, after the NCIA was successful, Raijuta fled to find the remains of his teammate, which was never actually found. He searched a long while, traveling many places but returning to Konoha, much more a master in his shinobi ways. He fought with the resistance for the final push to topple the empire and made it a personal vendetta to eliminate any stragglers, before the Hokage intervened. After this, he was approached by Uchiha Nevan who selected him as first ANBU under him.
Following the events that made Uchiha Nevan a prisoner of Sunagakure no Sato, Raijuta was made the leading general of ANBU. He has worked to collect the relics that left the Leaf's borders and is actively working to create strongholds should a war break out.
Psychological Excepts
- To him, he believed that each man built a castle of knowledge and to point at the fairgrounds asking why it was empty and to brandish ridicule at it was to open one’s own flank.
Quotes
- "Damnit if the world steals everything from Konoha."
- “I wanted to leave because I don’t like to sit in rooms. They’re mini-prisons.”
- "Konoha must do what it always has done: create the new. It is by our hand did the world learn what it is to be ninja and although they think they are unique, their basis is on the Konoha formula. We will always be the innovators, such as Kiri will always be bloody. As long as this is the pattern, we hold the key to the future."
- “Patterns have high reliability.”
- "Have you ever seen a stone hit its melting point?”
- “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but a corpse finds the most."
- “Enough of history and names. They only blind us from what is right in front of us. "
- “We stand opposite to the Faces of the Hokage. This mountain is not as gaudy as it must appear, for we did not build this monument out of respect only. When a Hokage passes, they are believed to always look over their village despite death and they stand guard over those who carried the Will of Fire so valiantly."
