Shougo. The name bestowed on to the parallel twin from the rights of birth to Haruyuki, both two little blessings to the aging lives of two souls entwined with love aflame. The beginning was found that on a bright day filled with the glint of falling snow, whilst the sun lay to rest when the shimmering moon peaked from the mountains, checking for the greater light and rising itself to shine to the world of ice below; shimmering the freshly fallen snow in tender care. On that brisk night; two children, males, were birthed from the spirit to the flesh in to the grand world that we know of it. These two tender children were twins of the same Hisame family. Both born identical, who was actually born first, the two brethren chose not to quarrel over such things, for they saw life as each other did. While their personalities differed as time etched away at their blissful days of young youth, they remained the same to each other as great friends as well as brothers.

Being brought up in the soft days of peace, they felt little attachments to their namesake of the Hisame family name. Not because of its detailed history, but because as children below their ‘double-digits’, they found little reason to. They had been brought up in the way to control water and ice; betwixt and between the two elements, as little scholars. The parents of the children were never happier as the young couple. Yet they were in fear, they were deep in the matters of the inner workings of Kiri, dealing with missions and village relations. There was still plenty of time to spend with the two younglings. The mother; Hisame Yuuki was in love as soon as she laid her hormone filled eyes to the future father; Hisame Yamato, who loved for her in his childhood years. They were married young, but decided it was not the time to bring their heirs to the world, so they delayed for a couple of years. Still being a young couple, they became the teachers of the children before the academy, a head start in learning the clan ways.

The life that was built around so finely, as snow to an igloo that housed warm peace; was shattered during the times of the Kumo invasion to Kiri. It was not so much for the invasion itself that dropped the fragile icicle of his life on to the ground, shattering it while it lay on the ground, melting and reforming when the next frost arrived. A collective month before any word of the invasion crept through the beaches and streets of Kiri; Shougo seemed to show signs of a ailing force being thrust on him slowly and idle; dormant within the child. Around the days of the invasion; before and during the exact date, Shougo succumbed to an even worse symptom and was confined to bed as his breathing slowed and shot pain through his body. Eventually, some of his nerves shut down due to the immensity of the pain, but only in a select area of his body. His vital organs were functional to the point that he was still living, he was still audible and able to speak. Earlier that morning; Yuumi and Yamato went in search of the apothecary medical doctor to heal their son. It was a valiant attempt, but a loss at that. Several minutes before Haruyuki was aware on the situation on the outside world; Shougo fell to death itself and departed the flesh. The toll on Haruyuki was severe to say the least. All his emotions cracked and fell in to a numbing bleakness. He wrote a note to his mother and father depicting his brothers last moments, for he knew that he would not be able to speak a word of the typical language.

In those dark times; Kumo invaded his homestead and took seize of the house. Haruyuki could do nothing about this, nor did he make any attempt to; he was still mourning and provided no resistance to their force of taking the thirteen year old out from his house, leaving the lifeless corps to be taken back to the morgue to be examined. The children would have shown no reason to be taken away under normal circumstances. The reason for this atrocity was simply that the Kumo forces did not wish to have any rebellions immediately without settling in to the land. The first people that would show disobedience to the NCIA would be the ones with the pride of their village and clan of course.

Their testing on Shougo was in vain; the disease that he befell to, that lead to his death, was one that corrupted the blood, it would slowly decay the one it festers in and after spreading its seeds around, it strikes unleashing unbearable pain to the unlucky person who receives it. There was no truly deducted reason why he came to this, one of the mysteries of life that can be pondered out, but one would rather continue forward.

On the convoy to be shipped out of Kiri and on to the capital; Nigiyakashufu, he was put in to a portable strong hold along with other prisoners. Devoid of grasps of reality, he was drafted on to his new living quarters, but when it attempted to leave port; It was stopped and freed by the resisting rebels of Kiri. Haruyuki was freed and was guided to a refuge center where he was kept until the hype died down. In that cold lonely place, he was met by an unknown spirit although it was strangely familiar. In the process of having run such a deep connection with his brother; his soul was unable to transcend in to the Otherworld; being drawn back to his brother. As Haruyuki drifted in to the blissful or frightening world of dreams; he was met by his brother in fading form, waving to him; smiling. He explained his difficulty in passing and found the single way to remain in his pure form; was to merge. Haruyuki woke to feel the presence of his brother and he had heard the sound of his voice whispering within his head. The event that had occurred; Shougo’s soul was inherited in to Haruyuki’s body. He was housing two spirits that were alike, but at the same time, were different; which set these two brothers apart. But now they house the same body and once this body of the mortal flesh succumbs to death; their spirits will enter in to the next dimension; together, just as they came in to this world.

When Haruyuki arrived home at last; he met the sights of his parents weeping to the note and the grimace of the sight of the torn house. Bitter tears turned sweet as Haruyuki quietly told them all that happened to him in the past amount of time. Soon after that time; Haruyuki and Shougo were made aware of Kiri’s past, aligning with the past of the Hisame. It was decided then, that the parents would go off on their own way, after bringing up their sons; they put Haruyuki faithfully in the hands of the uprising force of the rebellion; the parents went to search out the Mizukage along with any survivors that had the chance of living. That was two years ago; the boys would now be fifteen.

The Kirigakure Rebellion

Haruyuki began his shinobi adventures with the Kirigakure resistance as a simple courier. He transported information and goods covertly to merchants and other shinobi. The boy believed that eventually this work would help him reunite with his parents who were searching for the Mizukage- Sei Ryu. He was caught in the illegal operations by a patrol officer, only to be saved by the passing group of another Resistance cell. It was then that he decided to follow the group led by Umikoi Warrusu and got his feet wet with the Resistance.

After their quick brifing on the sitatuin, telling them that they had to rescue prisoners from the NCIA ward, a powerful blast of chakra tore up the streets and swallowed Haruyuki whole. When he awoke, he was in the presence of Sei Ryu’s son, who only went by the name ‘Creed’. For one reason or another, Creed had summoned the Hisame boy, offering him a spot as an accomplice. As he said “An advocate of the infinite, a brother to a God.” Completely in the hands of this man, Haruyuki flatly explained that he was only a child, but accepted the offer. These were the first steps the timid Hisame took into forming his own trail. With a few words, Creed had declared Haruyuki a noble.

In the next instant, the palace he was in exploded. Haruyuki awoke in a destroyed street unharmed. It was as if he were protected the entire time. Initially he thought this to be a dream, but Shougo shared in this experience, debunking the hypothesis. Haruyuki never could explain what that experience was, but the adventure he took into Creed’s domain was the beginning of his identity revolution.

However, the warping sensation had left the boy in a new state of health. His body wasn’t used to time-space travel and fell into a quick sickness. The Hisame felt cold, a chill deep to the bone. Near the brink of death, Haruyuki fell into a deep sleep where even Shougo couldn’t wake him from. He dreamed of long lost friends and fought for survival. In the end, he was able to wake into consciousness only then to be taken to the Umikoi homestead to be healed.

From there, the Jounins of Kirigakure met in a tavern along with the Gennin of the Resistance and discussed the plans of freeing the prisoners. Haruyuki pledged his life to see the end of the NCIA in Kiri and meant it. At that time, he also met Haramatsu Korin, whom he thought was quite cute and would develop a sort of crush on her. The interest in her would skyrocket once he discovered that night that he was sharing a bed with her, and she wasn’t wearing pants. The dream that night was unforgettable. During the night Suizuma Sensha dropped from the roof onto his lap and fell asleep. Their friendship would develop into the Hisame and Suizuma close bond.

What what pretends to be can become them. In order to get into the prison, Haruyuki and Sensha were supposed to be high security prisoners being excorted her their cells. He slayed and entire village and she slayed a brothel. To fit this role, Haruyuki toughened himself up, a change that would never fully go away. That day he learned how to become the personification of ice.

They made their way into the prison and began to free the prisoners when the guards came. Facing down the guards that sprung up. Haruyuki froze while in battle, but in the last instant, drew the final blood on the last guard. Retreating for reinforcements, the Resistance freed the prisoners. Among them were Hananosei Takeru and Haruyuki’s parents. They had a wonderful reunion, but had to place it on hold for they needed to escape.

They took to the seas, traveling on the ocean’s floor away from the prison and into the Resistance base. By Takeru-san he was declared a prince of Kirigakure, promoted to Jounin of Kirigakure. At such a young age, he felt so vulnerable, undeserving and meek. That was, until an unforgivable surprise was dished his way. Takeru performed a jutsu that tore Shougo’s soul from Haruyuki and placed it in a body composed of Sensha, Korin, Warrusu and Haruyuki. Haruyuki fought vigorously not to let go of Shougo, but in the end he couldn’t keep his brother in. Shougo had been reborn and Haruyuki was not a happy camper. He envisioned watching his brother die again, a fate he could never accept.

Naked and forgotten how to operate a body, Shougo was on the ground. Haruyuki and Shougo quickly found out they shared a telepathic link since Shougo could not talk, Haruyuki still had to be his voice. Shougo was left to recovery as Haruyuki traveled with the group to Avalon to further concrete the Resistance.

Once returned, Haruyuki was given a team to take on an A rank mission to stop supply trains. His extraordinary protectiveness over Shougo made him drag his brother along, so he could watch him. He didn’t trust his brother with anyone anymore. Once arrived with an Inuzuka kid and a medic, the four of them got to work. Haruyuki laid a snowy mist over the land, while heating up the train tracks to halt the train. When it appeared that the danger was becoming too great, he ordered for the Gennin to retreat and he’d finish the mission. As soon as the Hisame began working solo, a winged man descended from the sky. It was the first time Kinsen Raz would appear in the boy’s life and he would make a permanent mark.

Raz was in pursuit of Korin, which would become almost an awkward love triangle, but Haruyuki surrendered his interest once he saw a concrete bond between Korin and Raz. Between the two of them, they were able to dispose of the NCIA force on the train and successfully capture the supply lines. They concluded because of mutual friends they could trust each other and through their mission against the NCIA, it would prove each other held their backs with ease and skill.

Haruyuki would abandon any feelings he might have had for Korin when he saw the way Raz looked at her with endearing eyes. Instantly, the Hisame teenager made a clear cut decision to untie the two friends and protect them, even from future suitors. The Hisame returned to his destroyed homestead and discovered the pendant of the ice maiden, a gift from his mother that detailed protection from ancestors past.

The day of the rebellion came. Haruyuki and Shougo took to the northern shores to destroy any and all reinforcements the NCIA was sending inland from Kumogakure. With an army of clones, Haruyuki had met the ships sailing in with explosive force. Shougo was still struggling with adapting to his new body, until he saw his brother after Haruyuki was stunned by the general’s electric sword. In retaliation, Shougo exploded with a maelstrom of icy chakra that freed Haruyuki and together, both brothers brought an end to the regime. In unison, they cast a destructive snow storm over the northern straights and froze the army alive.

The Assault of Nigiyakshufu

The Kirigakure resistance settled up in a boat that would land them in the country of fire and then from there they would proceed directly to the capital of the NCIA. He was given the position of commanding officer even though he was much younger than most of the rebels. The team was tasked with infiltrating the walls of the city, which they did with their Kawangas. Haruyuki’s team attacked the war district of Fang, only to find it surprisingly quiet. Haruyuki split the group and called for a pincer strike on the district, however Fang proved to be too heavily defended. Without any other option, Haruyuki began the ritual summon to unleash on the battlefield an ancient ice titan of Hisame lore and then in the mess of things, Haruyuki cast a jutsu on himself in order to destroy the forces in the area.

After the battle, it would appear as though Haruyuki was without his team. Distraught and cracking under the pressure of trying to be a good commander, the Hisame wandered the streets, searching for his team. Walking these lonely streets was the first instance where Haruyuki make a pact to himself to become stronger- emotionally and physically to where he wouldn’t lose a team again. His thoughts were callusing, distancing himself from the timid boy he was while he was a child. He came across a group of shinobi that presented themselves as NCIA agents. In an attempt to figure out any information, Haruyuki confronted them. The boy was carrying an unconscious death wish, to where he was taking high risks for high rewards. In all actuality, they were resistance shinobi disguised. When they tried to arrest him, Haruyuki fought back, fending them off until Bara came out of nowhere. When she was blindsided with a Genjutsu, Haruyuki delved deep into his darker side and mercilessly open a rip in the space-time stream and transported everyone to his Palace of Frozen Light. The Palace had enough traps to deal with the intruders while Haruyuki nursed Bara back to health. To facilitate this, Bara let Haruyuki write his name of the Legendary Slug contract. With some more time to deduce all he could about these adversaries, Haruyuki dispelled the Palace. In a matter of moments, everyone was on the same page, as per the Resistance movement.

Realizing that time was falling short, Haruyuki found his way back to the resistance camp as it was about to make a move on the grand palace of Nigiyakashufu. On the climb up that mountain is when Haruyuki decided that he wasn’t going to live in a shadow any longer, he would forge his own destiny. Before they could fought the Raikage, first they had to destroy his elite guards. Haruyuki wand Warrusu faced off against the Glass Witch. It was in that battle that Haruyuki first began to doubt Warrusu, as instead of battling as a team, it felt like they were battling as individuals. What struck his anger even more was that Warrusu was actively denying Syaoran’s wishes to fight the Raikage alone. It bothered Haruyuki to such an extent that the Hisame froze Warrusu’s steam before he could make an attack. Furthermore, Warrusu breaking the barrier erected to keep all the fighters on the top of the palace had caused Haruyuki to become consumed in his feisty emotions. The battle was taking a huge toll on the teenager, way more than he could handle. When the battle against the Raikage fully broke out, Haruyuki created crystal shurikens that completely dismembered the Raikage.

After the battle had ended, everyone was getting ready to head back home. But not Haruyuki. From what he had seen with the war, the Hisame decided to become a vagabond and discover himself. Kirigakure had nothing to offer him but misguided ways and in secret, Haruyuki fled Fang and his home.

The Flight to Otogakure

In the first leg of his journey, Haruyuki had sought refuge in a mining cave in the Country of Coal. While he was such at ends with the world, he walked into the cave and slaughtered the men inside and began training himself in his clan’s fiercest abilities. Haruyuki was still battling with his rise in power. He was a high level Jounin at the age of fifteen. He was testing his strength without the barrier or morality, so to speak.

Parting with his brother was one of the hardest decisions he had ever made, but after spending several year enmeshed with Shougo, Haruyuki had to find his own identity. As he crossed into the Valley of the End, he realized he was being pursued. The boy smoked out his adversary to find out it was an ex-hunter-nin who had defied orders to track him. She was Hisame Fubiki, who gave up everything to try and bring her hero home. They waged war in the valley, but Haruyuki had proven too strong for her. He nursed her back to health and she pledged allegiance to him and only him. That night, Haruyuki explained that he had to find understanding in the world before he could return home- illegal or not.

She was his servant, but later became his girlfriend. They made their way to Otogakure, where Haruyuki had sought out his old war buddy, Raz. Together with Korin, Haruyuki asked for asylum in the land of rice and outlined a detailed plot where he would wage civil war in Kirigakure against the Umikoi because he feared they were becoming too powerful. They were the ramblings of an angsty teenager seeking to change the world, but they drove him to change.

His first mission for Otogakure was to recover stolen documents by the NCIA. When Haruyuki reached the base, he discovered it had an underground prison, where he found remnants of Kirigakure inmates. Among them were a few members of the Hisame family. Haruyuki gained the allegiance of Suizuma Nahji, a man that he sent back to train his brother in Kirigakure and Eigtheen Finger Jinto- a Hisame Sennin who had lost his arms but cast a jutsu that allowed him to manipulate ice as arms. At the abandoned fort, Haruyuki engaged a harvester named Bramimond- of which he slew. After the mission Jinto had given Haruyuki the title of Sennin of Kirigakure.

.: The Prodigal Years

In the years that passed, Haruyuki was a prodigal son. He spent five years moving from country to country, taking odd jobs and various personas. He’d disguise himself and take a new identity to see how the world worked. During these years, Haruyuki had cemented his new personality and fully confident identity in which he was no longer mild and meek, but rather silly and stubborn. He was the artist of his own destiny and he made that perfectly clear to the world. His home base would always be Otogakure. One day that he came home, he was saught out by the Otogakure ANBU that tasked him with the mission to go to Yukigakure and dispose of Yukigakure generals due to the war between Yuki and Iwa. Haruyuki left at once and discovered a plot of biological weaponry. The weapon would freeze the blood molecules in a subject and shatter them from the inside. Haruyuki’s father had attempted to discover this plot years ago and now his son was on the cleanup crew. Suffice to say; those men didn’t live long after that.

As a disguised Yukigakure agent, Haruyuki took a room at an inn, only be discovered mid sleep by a blind sword bearing lady who decided it would be a great idea to go thrashing all over his room. She came to warn that he was about to destroy the balance in the totalitarian state. Fukayama Jiang gave him the details that would allow him to succeed in his mission while not destroying Yukigakure. His target was an insane axe wielding man named Takuya in the town of Nanuk. Haruyuki blew through the base and found Takuya a sad sot, wallowing in his own filth. He was wasting away, the devil axe was his own strength. It was guiding him, corrupting him but once Haruyuki had ripped the axe from his hand (and his hand off his arm), the man crumpled to the floor. Haruyuki sealed the cursed axe in a scroll and took it for safe keeping.

After returning from that expedition, Haruyuki ran into Raz and decided to join him on his journey to expand Denchi no Kuni’s borders. The pair traveled with Raz’s students at the time through the land of Rice. Haruyuki obtained some of Raz’s blood to summon him to add to his list of people he could human summon. While they were walking through, the pair were attacked by a hooded man that came out of nowhere. He spoke of cryptic words, talking about bringing together chess pieces and telling Haruyuki that he couldn’t escape his fate. This Hisame wasn’t too pleased with someone telling him what to do, but when he dropped the hint that Shougo was in danger, Haruyuki demanded answers. The Jashinist’s parting words were “I’ll give you the key to the kingdom. You just have to capture it.” And with that, the Jashinst’s staff ate Haruyuki and warped him back to Kirigakure no Sato.
