Summary

Asuka Hikari is known my many of the Village leaders from her younger years in the uprising and expelling of the NCIA. Through resistance movements she aided in the liberation of several major countries including Iwagakure and Sunagakure. She fell into a downward spiral after her best friend died and has been a low key member of her Village taking odd jobs here and there.

Clothing: When on official business for her village she is often wearing her Jounin vest with tight athletic pants to assist in movement. When she is off work she tends to wear seasonal apprpriate attire that is current with the local trends.
Physical Description: Slightly short for 25, she is only 5 feet and 2 inches and rather slender and lightweight. Looking like she can not lift a kunai she is actually quite strong and muscular although not visibly. Often thought of as a idiot for her good looks are often a misleading when people try and base her skills on assumptions. On her back she has a tattoo with a man going down her spine with dark purple hair, one angel wing and one devil wing going up each shoulder blade to represent her personality.

History

Chapter 1: Prologue, the epitaph of beginnings

A girl sat in the classroom staring out an open window, the wind slowly making its way inside giving off a feeling of tranquillity. The girl continued to stare, her blueish grey eyes slowly opened and closed drifting in and out of concentration. Her soft brown hair gently swayed in the cool breeze, the collar of fur on her vest brushed the sides of her neck. At the front of the classroom the instructor, or Sensei as they were to call him drivelled on about chakra control and techniques preformed when mastering it. Even though she paid no attention to the front of the classroom, she could still hear every single word coming from his mouth. A few boys at the back of the classroom were whispering quietly among themselves but she could hear every word of their conversation as well. The lesson seemed to continue through the ages with no end in sight of when he would stop his rambling.

She was born into a normal house with normal family. Having two brothers and one sister was special to her, since she was the oldest she had a sense of being the head of the house when her parents were out of the house. No one in her family had any shinobi experience, all her talent was purely done by hard work and determination. Her main focus was genjutsu, being slightly gifted and one hell of a smart girl. Finding ways to alter other's mind's gave her gratification, a sense of power that lulled her into the illustrious specialty. It was not that she was weak in other area's, she could do perfect ninjutsu and fight with taijutsu skills with anyone. But when it came down to it, the factor of controlling the mind was much more appealing, almost in a sadistic way. It was easy to her, with no remorse of her actions she took on others minds, it made her the ultimate assassin type shinobi.

Her father tried to live through Hikari and force her to do good in school. Considering she never practiced at home her father assumed she would be failing upon her next report card, but to his surprise Hikari was at the top of her class. Being gifted had its perks, she could slack off as much as she could and still do great in the Academy. Still unaware how she obtained her unique bloodline, she could alter her state of mind and her normally bright eyes would cloud over her pupils. It would cloud her ninjutsu and taijutsu capability but made her unrivalled when it came to genjutsu. Hikari used her bloodline seldom, only if she is in a losing situation, rather relying on pure skill and talent rather then using an unfair advantage.

Hikari was quite a cute girl too, often looking as if she was innocent lead her to be quite popular among the boys. Unlike others she did not waste her time in dealing with them, rather she trained to become stronger.

After the Kumo invaded her village of Suna, they were quickly over run and fell to their might. At the time she was a gennin with only a few missions under her belt. Since she was young and could still be manipulated the Kumo gave her an option of joining them or simple dying. Of course in the interest of self preservation Hikari leapt at the opportunity to join a much stronger shinobi village who might even let her use her true abilities. Since then she has quickly moved up the ranks with the Kumo and is now a Chuunin. With her determination and grit she is moving up the ladder even faster, they trust her with higher missions that some can't handle which gives her a boost of confidence and will die for them.

Chapter 2: Forging of friendships; Love, hate, betrayal and death

Not quite the life she had envisioned for herself. Hikari was young, brash and eager to prove that she had what it took to become a powerful shinobi, often that combination could lead to disaster. Pushing her mental limits to the brink was what she did best and it got her the attention of her superior officers, once she was recruited into the NCIA Hikari had been exploited to use her superior genjutsu abilities. The only constant in her life was her best friend, Kia. Together they had fought and bleed along side one another, they would be with each other to the end.

Fate decided to intervene when the young girl met the future Tsuchikage and everything she had known was about to be turned upside down. He was a powerful man, filled with love and joy and fiercely loyal, something Hikari could only dream of becoming, though she held none of those traits. Within minutes of meeting the young boy Hikari was infatuated with him. Love at first site was real and it consumed Hikari making her jealous, possessive and filled with lust.

Hikari had put all her faith into his beliefs and switched sides, she became a turncoat and sided with the villages she was sent to help destroy, though Sy's love she was able to do it. But it would be that love she felt for him that would ultimately lead to her interior spiral downwards into self pity and loathing. Along side Kia, Hikari had met a Uchiha boy named Nevan who was distrusting of the two girls, and rightfully so. But Hikari felt a certain connection with him, something deep seeded but she never explored it. The four of them formed a team as they began doing missions for the country of Earth, trying to rid small pockets of NCIA through subtle attacks and disruption.

Their love had blossomed and became tangible, she had pushed former friends away forming a rift between Kia and her. After their relationship had ended Kia and moved in and took Sy from her grasp, this is when something that lay dormant inside her mind snap. Hikari became broken on the inside and outwardly aggressive.

Before long a massive battle had taken place on the boarder of the Yuki province and the Country of Earth, before their forces could be stopped the battle had erupted on the streets of Iwagakure no Sato. Hikari could not repeal the invaders and before long she had spent all of her chakra, friends who she had fought along side with had fallen or been taken prisoner. Before Hikari lost conscious she remembered their side losing, death would be upon her, she welcomed it.

Weak eye lids slowly opened as the warm glow entered the room, a faint smell of blood was present. Once her eyes adjusted to the light Hikari realized she was in the hospital, the nurse explained to her that she had been out for several days. It was nice to know that Sy had been in her room nearly the entire time, it brought her comfort, but now her team had headed out on a mission, she was to hurt and her chakra was still recovering for her to go. Hikari learned that Sy had captured Nevan, the circumstances were unclear at the time, but in the near future she would figure it all out.

After a few weeks, Sy had returned with some new faces and some old faces missing. Sy had to explain to Hikari that her best friend had died, her heart fell to the bottom of her stomach, after all the pettiness or being jealous seemed to disapate. She was introduced to Kouta and Yatako when Sy told her she would be joining the assault of her home country of the Sand. It brought a small comfort knowing she could visit home and attempt to liberate her home. If she got to kill out of revenge all the better.

Once the team arrived in Soma a vicious battle ensued where she got her fair share of revenge but no matter how many people were killed nothing could fill the void left behind. Once the village was liberated Hikari decided to stay in Suna with kouta while her once love Sy and Yatako left to pursue other endeavours. Only later did she find out Sy would becoming the Tsuikage.

Chapter 3: Mended Souls

Tick Tock

Blue eyes gleamed and glistened as they slowly fluttered back and forth. The warm glow from the sun entered the room from the window, yellow curtains softly swayed from the gentle breeze. Grainy course sand kicked up as the wind slide across the floor. It would not take a maid to figure out the room had not been swept in quite some time, let alone remotely cleaned. Several dishes hung from the sink, a tower of dirty cups teetered, ready to fall onto the floor with the slightest of ease. All the while, a girl laid on her bed with those bright eyes watching the clock move side to side.

Tick Tock.

Time was a fickle thing, it is infinite and finite, a life was measured by time. Inconsistently ending at any given moment yet no matter how much time you thought you had, it ends. Even as days and months had fallen from the calendar, time seemed to stand still like an hourglass that had been turned on its side. Everything surrounding it continues like nothing happened but to the glass time has ended. Hikari's heart felt the same way. The pain was real, her heart felt heavy, daunting like nothing would be able to fix, except time. But the hourglass was still turned on its side, everyone, everything continued but she remained. Allies came and went, friends would come and go, but this time something had snapped and lingered in her mind and heart, it was weighing her down like an anchor.

Pushing back the torment of lose, the feeling of being cast aside that can envelope the soul and consume a weak persons soul. Hikari could have easily let that pain in, but she was not weak, her mind was persistent and iron clad, her resolve tangible. After some needed time to herself, Hikari began taking missions for her superiors once again. Her prowess of genjutsu was unrivalled, the ability to enter someone's mind and come out with the answer before they even knew something was happening was her speciality. More often then not, she would find herself prodding the minds of captured spies or shinobi from other nations. The work was easy and consistent, something she knew very little about.

Years passed as the Jounin became older and wiser yet the insatiable battle blood lust was still there. When Hikari was fighting, something would trigger in her head. Normally clear headed, calm and rational. mature when she entered that battle a switch engaged sending her over the edge. But deep down, she loved it.
