Kazuto is a gifted learner but tends to thrive in situations that rely heavily on competition with others. Kazuto, having spent much of his life without his parents and having lost his grandfather, has a considerable fear of prolonged solitude, and despite his stoic attitude toward others, will go to great lengths to be around people. Having so few parental figures during his formative years has influenced Kazuto’s personality in a number of ways: he tends not to respect formal standing or rank, and will frequently dispense with honourifics, instead addressing superiors by their name or nicknames; he tends to mask his own emotions behind a confident façade, preferring not to show his own weaknesses to even his friends and instead always putting on a brave face.
Despite receiving criticism in his early life because of his parent's defection from the village, Kazuto possesses a strong sense of empathy for others and tends to make strong bonds with people easily, a trait that some say is common among Uzumaki clansmen. Through genuine kindness and choosing to quietly uplift those around him, Kazuto inspires meaningful relationships with others, including former opponents and rivals.
Kazuto developed several traits from his grandfather, who he spent more time with than either his mother or father: chiefly, he inherited a respect for the traditions of the shinobi and the ninja way of life. While he does not truly know what his life's pursuit will be, he dreams of becoming a ninja worthy of his ancestors; his grandfather being a dirty, old pervert also introduced Kazuto to a love of the female form early in his life. While he is still fairly inept at speaking with women, he too has a perverted streak and has even managed to combine that with his own ingenuity in combat on several occasions.
