Uchiha Saki (うちは 咲希, Saki Uchiha) is a member of the illustrious Uchiha Clan of Konohagakure no Sato. Born of an affair, she bears distinctive red hair and a disdain for all other things Uchiha- and authority in general. She is a powerful combatant capable of weaving the principles of many techniques together on the spot to create new and potent maneuvers. Despite her talent for fighting, Saki's greatest pride is her infamy as a graffiti artist/vandal in Konohagakure no Sato. After the events of the Arrakis Ninja Arts Tournament, she has taken to despising all things Sunagakure and has sworn vengeance on whatever mysterious figure slew [Senju Tokurama]. After being quickly promoted to Special Jōnin, Saki was sent on a diplomatic voyage to secure allies for Konohagakure no Sato. During this journey, she made her way to Iwagakure and presently resides there, studying beneath the Juusandaime [Tsuchikage], [Alchem Syaoran].

Background

Within every generation, there exists an artist whose desires to bloom and spread their works to the world resides on an unprecedented level; for the Uchiha clan, that individual manifested as Uchiha Saki. Born as the fourth and youngest to Uchiha Souji and Uchiha Togame, Saki was decisively marked at birth as an outsider to her own family; with vibrant, rose-tinged hues and cerulean eyes, it was long suspected that she may have been the product of some unknown affair. That stigma stuck with her throughout her childhood-- she was a stark contrast to her siblings in appearance and attitude. Due to this, she often found herself at ends with both her father and her cousins. Though never outwardly hated, it was quite apparent that Togame was the only of her immediate family that did not do more than just tolerate her energetic and childish antics. Throughout her early years, Saki took an affinity to painting and could often be found neglecting her shinobi studies for the more fulfilling arts of oil and watercolors. Though she showed great talent in this department, her only fan was her mother. Over time, her art began to spill out in quiet rebellion against her father's strict stances and disapproving attitude; she began to quite treat the world quite literally as her personal canvas. While her mother did reprimand her in public for such defacing acts, her private words were ones of laughter and support. Togame felt the Uchiha were getting again caught too much in tradition and regalia and needed to be shaken back into the vibrancy of life. Such was Saki's maternal relationship, and such was it destined to then be stripped of her.

On the fateful day that brought Kumogakure's war machine to the doorsteps of Konoha, Saki could be found neither in her classroom or on the clan estate; rather, she had skipped out on school to wander the outskirts of Konoha in search of her next big art project. She, like most of the rest of the village, was caught entirely off guard by the sudden surge of foreign shinobi over Konoha's long standing walls. Swept away in the carnage of the initial waves, Saki sought refuge in the expansive Uchiha estate; she arrived just in time to witness several of her clan members cut down within the smoldering buildings they had once called home. Again, the Uchiha found themselves being massacred before the eyes of children too naive to comprehend these adults' selfish reasoning. The young girl was dumbstruck by the scene before her; she had defaced countless buildings before, but never in such a violent way. She was scared-- too scared to run; in her fright, she had alerted many of the invading shinobi to her presence. They sauntered toward her, confident in the easy kill. To this day, Saki can remember the looks in their eyes and the horror that was too much for her young mind to fathom. Faced with her own death, she fainted as the image of a single Konohagakure Shinobi filled the growing darkness of her vision.

When she had awoken, she was surrounded by many other civilians in what seemed to be a pill box hidden within the cliff-face that overlooked Konohagakure. She saw some of her own siblings, but no sight of her mother or father. Both being shinobi, she knew even then that her parents were taking the fight back to the invading force. Unfortunately, the battle seemed to end just as quickly as it had begun-- the sounds of battle that had previously filled her entire awareness faded with the setting sun. Her last memory of that day was her father appearing to lead her and the remnants of her family into the safety of the outlying towns. Their mother was not heard from again.

In the days after the invasion, Saki and her siblings lived a life of hushed fears and simple studies among non-shinobi populaces. Her father strove to prepare the remaining members of their family for the fortuitous day that they would reclaim their homeland and their former way of life. As dedicated as he may have been in teaching his children the shinobi way, his attitude toward Saki in particular seemed to grow more severe by the week. Some nights, he would indulge in just a few too many bowls of liquor and spend his time soiling Saki's hard work-- but not before bantering on and on about how "it" was her 'fault'. It would take her many months to piece her tattered memories together to conclude that he was blaming her for the untimely end of her dearest mother.

With time, liberation was finally given to the native shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato. Saki and her family were allowed to return to their homes and rebuild their lives; here, Souji seemed to regain his stability and resumed being little more than an overly critical patriarch. The damage of his accusations, unfortunately, had already been realized. Over the course of the coming years, Saki found herself getting into more and more trouble as she cut academy classes to instead vandalize the still-recovering village. Her family's fines continued to accumulate as her rebellious and discordant behavior escalated-- she found it impossible to not vent her anger at her father and the world on her immediate environment.

Personality

To describe Saki as an outlier within her clan would be an understatement of the greatest offense; she is at her essence, the avatar of chaotic vivacity. Having been surrounded by the pressures and tribulations of a family far more somber in nature, this young Uchiha has opted to instead adopt an attitude of energetic carelessness. She often practices a mindset that encourages doing something for the sheer sake of "fun". Fun, in the case of this girl, seems to be the driving force behind all of her activities-- even those ones that would betray any sort of seriousness. If sobriety were to be observed within her, one with any experience with Saki would most certainly suspect that some prank or joke was just around the corner. Fun, in the case of Uchiha Saki, is entirely subjective, however. She has little respect for her elders and history, and consequently can be frequently found defacing any number of memorials or monuments; when caught, she almost always justifies herself with something to the effect of "Dead guys gotta have a good time too!" Perhaps the most "Uchiha" of her characteristics would be her competitiveness. Saki dislikes losing, and finds the thrill of overcoming a challenge quite enjoyable. The largest problem with her competitive streak, however, lies in her inability to take most things seriously. As an example, she enjoys outperforming classmates in the Academy, but can never muster the interest to study properly for longer than a few minutes a day; the result of such a lack of diligence is almost always failure.

This rambunctiousness and sensitivity should not imply that Saki is in any way socially lacking. In fact, she has a great number of accomplices. Being the girl with the drive to enjoy herself and discard the judgments of elders, she is a strong magnet to the other unsavory children from varying age groups. Young children enjoy playing with her and look up to her "bravery" when she leaves her mark anywhere about the village; on the opposite end, elder ruffians look at her with fondness, seeing such potential for a new partner in crime. Her only outward social challenges seem to lie with those in her immediate class range; often, she is just competitive and abrasive enough to annoy those who have to spend prolonged periods of time around her.

Appearance

Dancing atop the head of one girl decidedly not of pure blood stand long, roseate strands. Such strands, when not pulled into a high ponytail, tend to encapsulate Saki's energetic expressions in something close enough to the typical 'Uchiha bangs' to again truly call her heritage into question. Dwelling longer on those same expressions, Saki's slender-featured countenance can be found frequently locked into one or two distinct expressions: a grimace of absolute boredom, or the upward grin of a girl lost entirely in her own enjoyment of a particular moment. Caught between salmon strands, one's attention would next be naturally captured by the effervescent azure of her almond-socketed eyes, orbs constantly reflecting the luminosity of the world about her.

Shifting downward to look upon the girl's frame, one could see that she was distinctively caught within the early years of maturity. Her shoulders are narrow and thin, augmented only by the lightest of training-- a trend that carries past the growing swells of her breasts and into the svelte curvature of youthful hips. Her legs may be the most prominent reflection of her impending growth, somewhat disproportionately measuring long versus her body.

Abilities

Though she is not noted for any manner of prodigious intelligence, Saki has become known for an incredible battle talent. She is not particularly talented in understanding the sciences that construct a technique, but nevertheless has developed the ability to break a technique easily down into its more basic parts once she has mastered it. This capacity for compartmentalizing her techniques has given her a fighting edge in that she can easily construct a new technique from the base components of others that she knows. As her natural pool of techniques widens, however, this ability has become less and less pronounced. Saki’s development has shown incredible leaps in short periods of time, allowing her to reach Jōnin levels of strength within the same year that she officially graduated the academy. She is noted for defeating enemies well above her own skill level through both guile and surprising them with overwhelming strength; to date, she has never properly “lost” a fight, though she has prematurely ended one and fled from another. Both [Hyuuga Yatako] and [Alchem Syaoran] have noted that she has incredible potential, but her stubborn nature and easily excited personality prevent her from realizing the full capacity of that potential.

Chakra and Physical Prowess

Saki’s chakra is strong but limited, not unlike a flash-fire. Similar to both her fighting style and personality, her chakra is filled with intense heat and can startle lesser trained sensors when she is incensed; even when sworn to kill another, her chakra rages outward as an inferno- a stark contrast to the more cool and collected chakras of her Uchiha kin. Though her chakra has potential for considerable power, her reserves are rather limited. She often can perform only a few notable techniques before being forced to rely on shurikenjutsu and significantly less potent ninjutsu; even so, she can perform Raikiri twice in short succession before requiring time to rest. this is made up for with remarkable chakra control and a heavy emphasis on bunshinjutsu. Rather than overloading techniques with raw chakra, she tends to work alongside her Shadow Clones to empower techniques of moderate strength with complimentary elements.

Despite being very capable at avoiding being hit in close quarters, Saki does not place any considerable emphasis on her taijutsu skills. She primarily uses it alongside Shurikenjutsu to buy time for her chakra stores to replenish in some capacity, and occasionally uses it as a means of setting up her more potent Ninjutsu techniques. Her most noteworthy physical attribute, however, is her speed. Saki is noted as being exceptionally fast, such so that she outpaces many shinobi whose overall strength levels extend well beyond her own. This speed extends into her reaction time, allowing her to easily see and neutralize many oncoming attacks. It is her natural speed that allows for her incredibly adaptive fighting style.

Ninjutsu

Saki’s skill in Ninjutsu is curious, as she is not known for easily grasping particularly complicated concepts. Even so, once she has learned a Ninjutsu technique, she is able to seamlessly weave it together with another to create an entirely new product. This most commonly takes the form of empowering her Raikiri for sudden finishers, often ending a battle before it can truly begin. After training alongside [Namikaze Azrael] and [Alchem Syaoran], Saki has begun to develop a more advanced grasp on the fundamentals of Ninjutsu, resulting in a slow shift in her combat style and analytical ability.

Combination Techniques

Known for blending her own techniques together into unique forms, Saki’s utilization of the Sharingan allows her to frequently adapt her techniques to compliment or even combine with those of her allies. The Sharingan’s Copying ability grants her additional utility when blending techniques in this way, as she can often empower an ally’s technique by merging it with a replica of itself.

Shadow Clone Technique

Despite having less than impressive Chakra Reserves, Saki has demonstrated considerable skill in creating Shadow Clones and minimizing their diminishing effect upon her Chakra. She can create a maximum of seven clones simultaneously, but often prefers to utilize them in intervals of three at a time. She most commonly uses Shadow Clones in combination techniques, granting her Raikiri various empowerments or overwhelming an opponent in an incredible volume of flame.

Nature Transformation

Saki can utilize four of the five basic nature transformations. As an Uchiha, she has a natural affinity for Fire Release and has shown the most talent for such techniques out of her generation of Uchiha; she mastered the Great Fireball Technique easily, can cloak her shuriken in flame, and has been seen unleashing a wave of fire large enough to burn a considerable hole into the [Alchem Clan Estate]’s surrounding forest.

Saki’s primary natural affinity is for Lightning Release, despite the majority of her technique knowledge being Fire Release; her first Lightning Release technique was the Chidori, copied from [Uchiha Nevan] in the heat of battle. She did not learn to expand her Lightning Release prowess until after mastering the fundamentals of Chidori. After gaining some knowledge of her own potential, Saki began to blend Lightning Release with Fire Release to create concentrated blasts of superheated lightning, though these techniques are typically kept as emergency reserves given their volatile nature.

After training alongside [Namikaze Azreal], Saki learned to manipulate both the Wind and Earth natures. Though she scarecly uses them independently, these natures later proved valuable when she partially recreated the potent Dust Release Kekkei Tōta. Her mastery over Dust Release is currently very crude and she is unable of forming cohesive Dust Release geometry without considerable effort; even then, the potency of her Dust Release techniques is questionable when given any proper shape. In her current state, she seems to prefer using Dust Release in highly volatile techniques and relying upon her own intuition if it creates unexpected results.

Dōjutsu

Sharingan

Saki’s Sharingan was first awoken during a bitter but childish battle with [Senju Masumi]. It was not long after that her Sharingan developed its second tomoe and further increased her visual prowess. She competed with two tomoe throughout the [Arrakis Ninja Arts Tournament] and developed her third tomoe at its conclusion, when she was informed that [Senju Tokurama] had been slain by a mysterious enemy. With her current Sharingan, Saki can see the flow of chakra, accurately reproduce any movement she sees, track fast-moving objects, and relatively accurately predict an opponent’s movement. Though her Sharingan inherently allows usage of Genjutsu: Sharingan, it is by no means her forte and is often overlooked in lieu of more direct combat methods. She does, however, possess the ability to impose her will upon the Bunshin of her opponents and repurpose them to her own uses.

Intelligence

Saki is not traditionally intelligent by any stretch of the word. She was an incredible slacker during her Academy classes and only barely graduated into the Genin rank. Be that as it may, her ability to analyze and react in combat has earned her the respect of many opponents. In combat, she prefers to press any advantage that she gets and does everything in her power to prevent an opponent from regaining any significant momentum; even in this, she is highly observant and is rather mindful of all features of an arena as combat continues. Saki’s reaction time and combat-analysis skills allow her to easily alter strategies in the middle of combat and adapt to the ever-shifting paradigm of combat. She does not typically prepare before combat and relies on her natural abilities to alter her strategies on the fly rather than luring an opponent into a trap. That is not to say that she does not properly arm herself for a wide berth of situations, however, as she prides herself on having the tools available to handle almost any situation. She has shown considerable tactical sense in teamwork, being able to quickly adjust her fighting style to compliment her ally’s own, often blending her techniques together with their own to great effect.

Creation and Conception

While Saki has drawn inspiration from a number of sources, she is one of the few characters that her creator has made without directly basing it upon another. Similarly, she is one of her creator’s most consistent characters, despite or perhaps because of her naturally chaotic personality. When she was originally envisioned, she was created with bright pink hair and was intended to be a descendent of Uchiha Sasuke and his wife, Haruno Sakura. Over time, however, her selection in character art encouraged a shift away from pink hair and toward red hair, until it was discovered that her early variations shared many common character art selections with another then-existing character known as Uzumaki Koharu. Saki and Koharu’s creators collaborated and decided to slightly amend their personal stories to encourage a relationship between the two characters, so as to allow them both to continue using similar imagery with good reason. Through this, Saki became the product of an affair between her mother and Koharu’s father, Uzumaki Nobunaga. Her Uzumaki heritage is painfully apparent in the hue of her hair, though her facial features are rather reminiscent of the rarely seen Uchiha women.

Saki was originally designed as a character meant to stand in stark contrast to her Uchiha kin, and while that sometimes is true, she is frequently a model citizen of the Uchiha clan. Her original Ninjutsu talents lie in Ink techniques based on Sai, but she slowly began using more and more Fire Release techniques due to their availability and superior design. Eventually, she was allowed to copy Uchiha Nevan’s Chidori and cemented her place as an unintentional homage to the Uchiha of old. Over time, her player attempted to steer her away from the similarities between herself and Uchiha Sasuke, but game circumstance continued to push her toward his likeness. She did not begin to develop her own complete image until she traveled to Iwagakure and was able to naturally branch her technique pool outward toward decidedly non-Uchiha techniques.

• Despite being named Uchiha, Saki is actually half Uzumaki from her father, Nobunaga.
• Saki’s English Voice Actor also voices Jinx in the popular MOBA, League of Legends. She was chosen for her exceptional portrayal of a fun but unstable personality.
