Civilian: When Kaii is not off on a mission, he wears a hooded charcoal zip up vest. Underneath his vest, he wears a plain black t-shirt. He wears his hitai-ate around his waist as a belt. For his bottoms, Kaii wears black pants and matching black sandals.

Mission: While on a mission, Kaii continues to wear his hooded charcoal zip up vest. However, rather than wearing a short sleeve t-shirt, he wears a black long sleeve shirt. His long sleeve shirt has extra long and wide sleeves. Around his neck, he a mask that rests there until combat. During a fight, Kaii pulls up the black mask displaying a evil grin; the mask covers his nose and mouth when pulled up. Kaii wears his light grey Hitai-ate as a belt. Below the waist, Kaii wears black pants and black sandals.

Physical Description: Kaii stands at an average height for someone his age. He has a rectangular body type with an upstanding and solid build. His family believes his upstanding and solid build stem from his posture and tendency to carry around his puppets. Kaii has a classic undercut hairstyle; his sides are buzzed while his top is a medium length. Although his hair is styled, he styles it so it appear as messy. Kaii’s eyebrows a mildly bushier than average, causing him to appear angrier than he actually is. His eyes are a beautiful hazel, similar to that of honey. Kaii has two hoop earing in each lobe just large enough to hug his lobe. Kaii also has and a barbell in his left cartilage.

History

'Chapter 1: A Shinobi is Born

It was a dry, but hot morning in Sunagakre no Sato. Kana was being taken to the hospital by her husband, Taku, and son, Ryu. While the three of them were in their way to the hospital, Kana started to give birth. Luckily for her, a medic was walking several hundred feet behind them. When Taku and Ryu lowered Kana to the ground, the medic rushed to their aid. After introducing themselves to the family, they assisted in Kaii’s birth. When Kaii was born, he had a beautiful glow about him and a smile that would cheer anyone up. Kana and Taku were happy to be parents of a new, healthy baby boy and Ryu was proud to be a big brother.

Flash forward nine years, Kumogakure no Sato launched an attack on the entire world. Kaii was 9-years-old during the the attack on Sunagakure no Sato. To Kaii, it started off as a normal spring day. He spent the morning at home with his family doing chores. After their chores, the four of them decided to head out to a late lunch. While out to lunch, Taku noticed something was wrong. People were running through the streets. Taku slowly got up, looked at Kana, and told her to take the boys and get as home as quickly as possible. Kana grabbed the boys hands and ran as fast as they could towards their home. Kaii could not bear to know what was happening to his father, so he escaped his mother's grip and ran back towards his father. As he approached, he yelled for his father. Taku looked over at Kaii in shock. Taku quickly took down the single Kumogakure shinobi he was fighting with. Once he did, Taku sprinted to Kaii. Once he reached Kaii, he picked him up and the two of them ran towards their home. Taku and Raii eventually caught up with Kana and Ryu. Kana was relieved to see the two of them alive.

As they were approaching the home, two Kumogakure shinobi surprised them in an attack. Taku was attacked and isolated from his family. Kana and Ryu both ran inside the home since they believed Kaii had already made it inside. Once they were inside, they locked the door. As they looked out the window searching for Taku, they saw Kaii hiding while watching his father fight. Kaii thought his father being able to defend the family was coolest thing he had ever seen. As soon as Taku had taken down the Kumogakure shinobi, he and Kaii ran inside. Once inside, Kaii kept asking for Taku to show him what he did. Taku told him he could do it because he was a shinobi for Sunagakure. Kaii decided on that say we would follow in his father's footsteps and become a shinobi so he could protect the village as well. Two years later, Sunagakure no Sato was freed from the Kumogakure empire.

Chapter 1: The Academy

Once Kumogakure no longer occupied Sunagakure, Taku started to teach his children basic hand-to-hand combat. The boys would practice with one another several times a week. Often times, the sparring between Kaii and Ryu became overly aggressive, turning into a actual fight. Despite being three years younger. Kaii’s ability for combat outweighed Ryu’s. When it came time to enroll in the Academy that year, Ryu decided he did not want to enroll. Kaii was disappointed in Ryu’s decision since the two of them would no longer spar. Kaii began to miss sparring, so he would pick fights with his peers when he became angry. His friends and family started to notice that Kaii responded to situations based on his emotions.

When it came to Kaii’s chance to enter the academy, he accepted it without hesitation. Knowing he was entering the academy two years later than his peers, he couldn't pass it up. For him, his childhood dream of following in his father’s footsteps was coming true. During his first few years in academy, he embraced everything that was being taught to him. However, there was one thing that stood out to him, the art of using puppets for combat purposes. Kaii always enjoyed puppets as a means for entertainment. So when he learned more about puppets in combat, he began to research them as much as possible. As he began to study, he would notice puppets more throughout the village. At this point, Kaii became obsessed with puppetry and vowed to become the greatest puppeteer Sunagakure had seen since the last shinobi war.

When Kaii was 16-years-old, he learned that Sunagakure had a puppet user participating in the Arrakis Ninja Arts Tournament. Kaii begged his family to go with him to the tournament. After a little convincing, they decided to go so they could also watch a puppet user in action. It was finally time for the shinobi who utilized puppetry to to fight. As both fighters entered the arena, Kaii focused on the Sunagakure nin. He was in awe of the puppet the fighter was carrying. Before the fight started, Kaii thought the fight was going to be an intense spar to see who the better shinobi was. What he didn’t know was he was very wrong. The Konohagakure ninja was turning the fight into a life or death event. Kaii was confused by this, so he asked his father for more information. Taku explained to him that every shinobi faces life or death at some point in their life; Taku believed accepting death was part of being a shinobi. He described this to Kaii as best as he could in the time span. Kaii remained interested for a minute, but the fight was about the begin so he focused on the puppet. Sadly, the puppeteer and puppet were not able to keep up with speed of the Konohagkure ninja. Kaii then witnessed the death of a shinobi he admired. He was in shock. Thankfully, his father attempted to continue the conversation around death to ease his son’s emotions. The two of them spoke so much about death that Kaii started to accept death in a way only experienced shinobi could. It was at this point, Kaii began to take every fight seriously, never knowing when his opponent with change the intent of their battle.
