Amanohara Konpeki

Amanohara Konpeki, Former Hokage.

Amanohara Konpeki was the Juudaime Hokage of Konohagakure no Sato. Konpeki heralds from a lone branch of the Takeda clan, from Kumogakure no Sato. After the family division, Konpeki's fragment stole away to Konoha in secret and burend all traces to their clan lineage, except for their bloodline. Even that had mutated. The Takeru bloodline was one revelving around Genjutsu in that it was a doujutsu called the Mental Eye (Seishin Me). The bloodline is a third eye that opens in between the user's forehead that only may be activated in extreme condition, much more perilous than the Sharingan. At its best level, the user can predict an opponent nearly flawlessly and gives them the illusion they are in a place when they are not. Through his variation, Konpeki learned to speak telepathically.

Biography

Konpeki was a remarkable child and a boon to Konoha while growing up. He quickly displayed prowess in mental arts that was rather abnormal for Konoha shinob. A child of the leaf village by birth, Konpeki was known as a brazen boy, who got his kicks with mental tricks on adults and his peers, but never once delved into something too sinister. Through the academy and even later into his Chuunin years, he was on a team with Shimura Raijuta and Ehime Yasuhiro, both boys whom he considered brothers and rivals. When he was merely sixteen, he was promotes to Intelligence Commander and revolutionized Konohagakure's defense system. A late student of Sarutobi Mari, he mastered the Rasengan without flaw and went on to apply the concepts in illusionary forms. At age nineteen, he accepted nomination for Hokage due to his extraordinary mind and useful telepathic communication.

Konpeki awoke one night to prophetic dreams of a burning Kumogakure that prompted him to rush towards the village and confront the Raikage. In the scuffle, he managed to use his mind bending powers to avoid capture and flee back to Konoha before the invasion could occur. He called for war and set up contraptions that projected a village wide genjutsu that convinced the Kumogakure army that the village was already strewn with corpses and in ruins. The genjutsu was also designed to house multiple consciousnesses so that everyone involved would react to the same stimulus. Konpeki left only a skeleton force of shinobi behind while he evacuated the population. The genjutsu worked at first, but soon Kumo caught on and the village erupted in war.

After the battle, Konpeki was nowhere to be found. There were notable wounded Cloud shinobi that looked as though brains were leaking out their ears and guts were thrown through a blender.
