Personality

A proud woman and fierce warrior, Ma'at Akilah is a strong, determined shinobi with an iron will and unyielding heart. Her sharp looks and cool eyes match her personality perfectly, for she barely troubles to soften her words, for anyone. While she does have a dry, often sarcastic sense of humor, she plays no games or jokes when it comes to protecting those of her village. She will do anything and everything to protect her countrymen, and this is especially true for the few people she holds dear to her.

In Akilah's eyes, her country comes first, everybody else in a distant second. She has no qualms about exploiting or alienating other nations if it is for the betterment of her own. It's through her policies that Kaze no Kuni is adopting increasingly more isolationist policies, putting a safe political distance between the Shinobi Nations. Never again will Kaze no Kuni be subjugated to foreign rule, if she has any say in the matter.

Policies

As mentioned above, Akilah's rise to power has also coincided with her push for increasingly isolationist policies. While many of these changes are meant to benefit the country as a whole (such as increased production of internal food supplies, additional water repositories and methods to increase conservation, and specialized task forces for increase national security) it has also put her at slight odds with other world leaders who wish to use the post-War years as a period of working together. It is also important to note that many of her task forces answer to her alone, including the formation of a special Black-Ops unit known as SABAKU.

To Akilah, nothing is more important than loyalty - to herself, and to her Country. Though technically only the military leader, within the walls of Sunagakure no Sato her word is law, and her firm, almost militant leadership has enabled her to spread her influence throughout the country. While the the Daimyo Takashuri Keito reigns in Arrakis and is technically the head of the government, his power is increasingly become encroached upon by the ambitious Kazekage.
