Tsuchi Terrorist Attacks of 2115

The Tsuchi Terrorist Attacks of 2115 were a series of coordinated attacks by an unknown terrorist group on multiple targets across Tsuchi no Kuni. The goals of these attacks and their origin are unknown at this time, though they were both done using stolen I.A.F. property, namely a handful of Corvette and PAC classification ships. The events below are listed in chronological order.

Alchem Syaoran Assassination Attempt

In the early Summer of 2115 an assassination attempt was made on the Tsuchikage, Alchem Syaoran. The attempt was made in a restaurant located in downtown Metropolis while the Tsuchikage was out to dinner with his cousin, Alchem Syaoran. The would be assassin tried to use a poison dart to strike the Tsuchikage unaware in the chest. The dart successful struck its target, but due to the working of the Alchem bloodline the Tsuchikage was unharmed. The Tsuchikage and his cousin apprehended to suspect and took them to Iwagakure no Sato. The assassin was carrying a Yukigakure no Sato headband in what appeared to be an attempt to blame the attack on the northern country. Though at the time it was not known, the headband was later found to be a fake.

Daniel Hollows Assassination Attempt

On the same day as the assassination attempt on Alchem Syaoran, another one was made to the north on Daniel Hollows, Prime Minister of Tsuchi no Kuni. The attack happened on an Iwagakure Air Federation frigate, modified for diplomatic use. Hollows was on his way to diplomatic talks with the Yukigakure no Sato leadership. The attack consisted of PAC classification ships trying to bring the larger frigate to the ground along with a small invading force that tried to take the Prime Minister himself. Due to the earlier attack, Alchem Syaoran and Alchem Sanji were on board the ship to protect the Prime Minister. The attack, though damaging the frigate, left the enemy force all killed or captured. The stolen IAF ships were destroyed in the fight. Tsuchi no Kuni suffered no casualties.

Metropolis - General Hospital

The attack on the Metropolis Hospital was part of a secondary assassination attempt on Daniel Hollows. Alchem Sanji, posing as the Prime Minister, was taken to a hospital after the first attack. A small team of Iwagakure ninja including Oroya Sakuya set up a guard. In broad daylight the terrorist group struck again, unaware that they were falling into a trap. Though the hospital floors involved had been evacuated ahead of time, the damage to the structure was substantial. The attacker was a single man of large stature standing nearly seven feet tall and wielding a polearm to match. The attacker had accomplices and was able to retreat when he realized Daniel Hollows was not there.

Iwagakure no Sato - Academy

Inside of Iwagakure no Sato there was a small attack on the ninja academy within the heart of the city during the summer of 2115. A small two seater PAC was crashed into the building, the passenger seat holding a few hundred pounds of explosive material. Kenta Ken'ichi and his team of Genin were on site at the time of the attack and were first to respond. A small force of ninja attacked the academy, their goal unclear. All were killed during the attack either when the building came down or in combat beforehand to Iwagakure no Sato ninja. Maro Eri and Maro Kin were also on site during the attack. No lives were loss due to the heroic actions of ninja and the timely and precise evacuation procedure that was followed. However, the attack did level the entire east wing of the academy along with a good portion of the main building. After a lengthy investigation process, reconstruction began in the fall of 2115.
