Biography

Ukishima Ryouga is the Nijuusan Water County Daimyo, and became the Water Country Daimyo simply from birth, his father being the Nijuuni Water Country Daimyo. Ryouga's family, the Ukishima, have filled the position of Daimyo within Water Country for a very very long time, so long that most people associate the word 'Ukishima' as a synonym for 'Water Country Daimyo'.

Born in the year 2063 AA to Ukishima Hidama [Then the newly instated Nijuuni Water Country Daimyo] and Hidama's wife, Ukishima Hachidori. Ryouga was the royal pair's third born child, and second born son. As such, despite showing marvelous intelligence and insight from an early age, he was relegated to the position of secondary heir, and given the schooling in part of a monk, in part of a businessman, and in part of a warrior.

He spent plenty of time going on trips with his tutors, and didn't seem to be bothered by his likelihood to never ascend to the throne. Ryouga spent his early years learning architecture, history, literature, princely arts, religious studies, and perhaps most importantly, picking up swordsmanship.

Much to his father's chagrin, Ryouga excelled at swordsmanship perhaps even more than in his other duties, and demanded to be tutored by the great swordsmen of the country. He demanded it to the point that when his father denied it, he fled Avalon and searched out teachers, spending nearly four years in hiding in the very military jewel of his family, Kirigakure no Sato.
