Personality
A firm believe that "All work and no play makes Kai a dull boy", Malachi Kuroki is equal parts playful and playboy. Flippant and flirtatious, Kai often seems to missing the brain/mouth filter, resulting in him saying exactly what he thinks regardless of how lewd or offensive it may be. Because of his loud and rambunctious behavior, very people see Kai as the Jounin and Commander that he is capable of being. However, under his lighthearted and carefree nature lies an experienced and accomplished shinobi. Biography
Very little is known about Kai's personal life before his enrollment in the Iwagakure Ninja Academy, since he only makes vague references about his home and family before his time as a shinobi. While most people presume him to be an orphan, the brief mentions of parents or siblings are always in the current tense, an indication that he was more likely a runaway. Instructors remember Kai as a bitter and angry young man, quick to take offense to slights about his personality or appearance, and one who would rather solve his problems through physical violence then more rational means. Small and scrappy, the young ninja rarely won his battles through sheer powerful, instead relying on speed, intelligence, and deceit to beat his opponents. Despite his sometimes delinquent behavior, or perhaps as a result of, Kai seemed to be under the constant drive to prove himself, pushing himself physically and mentally beyond what most people would give him credit for, a tenacious attitude that still prevails to this day. He actually graduated as one of the top students of his class, the accomplishment only marred by his laundry list of disciplinary actions and poor attitude.
Despite reservations about his ability to play nice with others, being placed on a team actually did wonders for his disposition, allowing Kai to learn how to work with others instead of presuming they were constantly against him.
