Personality
Inuzuka Mimi is a passionate young woman with just as much empathy as she has worries. Her utter lack of a poker face and minimal self-control are great when it comes to communicating with dogs- who oftentimes have trouble understanding the subtleties of human communication- but are terrible in the rare instances that Mimi feels the need to lie. Mimi’s entire body is put into expressing her emotions, which, when paired with sunny-yet-anxious demeanor, often causes her to come off as something between a nervous wreck and complete dork.
This Inuzuka is tightly strung and prone to fretting for extended periods over everything that has ever been graced by the light of the sun, and most of what hasn’t. Her general dissatisfaction with the state of the world in general- the continent was freed from the iron grip of Kumogakure only six years ago, and yet Iwagakure has conquered a minor country, the Grass Village has somehow become the Glassed Village, and her village preparing for open warfare with Suna for reasons she doesn’t understand- pairs with more personal issues, such as the expectations her relatives have placed on her shoulders and the fear that she will never be a skilled enough shinobi to live up to the Inuzuka name, has fried her nerves much in the same way a downed powerline would fry a toddler. The slightest bit of pressure causes her to collapse into negative, repetitive, unrealistic thoughts and daydreams. It isn’t impossible to pull her out of her funk, and she has even managed it herself at times, but it certainly isn’t easy. The only one that can consistently cheer Mimi up is her dog, Kiku.
Her worrisome behavior aside, Mimi is friendly and loves freely. She’s always prepared to offer kind words or friendly ears. She feels no reluctance when it comes to helping other people- in fact, it’s just the opposite: she considers it her duty as a human, let alone as a ninja, to help the people and creatures around her to the best of her ability. In a world where murdering for a living is commonplace, room needs to be made for compassion. Mimi knows a lot of people don’t think like her, but Mimi doesn’t care- she’ll pick up their slack if she has to.
On the opposing end of the spectrum, Mimi hates hurting people. Whether through word or deed, she won’t purposely cause more damage than she feels is necessary. That’s a large part of the reason why she was adamant against learning Taijutsu and won’t touch offensive Ninjutsu techniques: why risk permanently maiming or killing someone when there is an entire field of non-lethal techniques available? Genjutsu has the potential for long-lasting harm as well, unfortunately, but a mind can be fixed, whereas there is no fixing the dead.
All that said, Mimi is prone to closing ranks with those she is loyal to, whether that is just her family and friends or her village and country. Barring extreme circumstances where her loved ones are being absolutely unreasonable, she will back them up to present a united face to the outside. She considers that a necessary part of any relationship, because situations can change in an instant and leave no time for an argument. Discussions over whether or not what they did was the right thing can occur after the situation is resolved, but a pack is a pack, and a pack has to be united to survive.

- "Kiku, watch the ground! Jikiniki is being Trickiniki!" - When Hyuuga Jikiniki activated a set of traps throughout a race track.
- "Oh no." - Inuzuka Mimi's catchphrase.
Trivia
- Public In Character Trivia
- "Mimi" means "ear" in Japanese. She named her ninken "Kiku," because that word means "listen," and Mimi loves a good naming scheme.
- Almost all of Mimi's techniques are named "Dog Release; X," because she thought it would be funny. There is no Dog Release skill or other ability, however.
- She is currently on a team with Hyuuga Jikiniki and Inuzuka Kagu. All three of them fight alongside their pets.
- Mimi's mother never managed to become a ninja. Instead, she supports her daughter and clan through her butcher shop.
- Private In Character Trivia
- The Mukankei family were insistent that Mimi take on her mother's name, against tradition. "Inuzuka" means something to most people within the village and would help the young girl's chances in becoming a successful ninja, while "Mukankei" is still known more for its wares than its wars.
- Mimi's father was also a business man, who balanced his career as a ninja with his work at his family's business conglomerate. He and his siblings were sent to Konoha's Academy in an attempt for the family to eventually gain some amount of say in village affairs.
- Mimi father's family's attempt to gain influence failed. Her father is dead, as is her uncle, and her aunt will likely never surpass Chuunin, leaving the Mukankei family without any real reach in Konohagakure.
- Mimi is surprisingly accepting of her father's death. It fuels her fear that she or her loved ones will die in the upcoming war, but he was a very busy man and Mimi just doesn't have enough memories of him to truly feel the sting of his loss.
- Out of Character Trivia
- Mimi sat in the Konoha Characters creation forum of over seven months before her creator (almondsAndRain) felt the need to have her approved.
- This is almondsAndRain's first Ninja Academy character specifically and her second roleplay character in general.
