Suizuma Kazu is a jonin of Kirigakure no Sato, specializing in assassinations and espionage. She is also a proficient hunter-nin, and prefers to work alone. She is a high-speed Taijutsu specialist, and uses a few Ninjutsu techniques for utility when necessary. She also specializes in leaving lasting damage on her opponents, using poisons and making sure that they bleed and burn after her attacks. Her bloodline allows her to use Steam techniques in conjunction with her attacks, by heating up a reserve of her own body water.
Appearance
Eye Color: Light blue
Hair Color: Kazu's hair is black and naturally wavy, and is just barely long enough to touch her shoulders in some places. She generally parts it on the left side of her head, and keeps the hair on the left behind her ear. The right side falls just barely over the front of her face, but not enough to cover her right eye.
Clothing: She is rarely seen out of her ninja equipment, which is a mostly light armor made of black leather and metal for protection. Her Hitai-ate is almost always around her neck, favoring protection in that vital area instead of her forehead. She wears a hooded cloak as well, enjoying the anonymity it can sometimes provide. Her clothing offers what she considers a perfect mix of protection and freedom of movement; the protection for the rare case she is taken by surprise and has to take a hit.
In the rare instance she is not out on a mission she prefers light clothing, or as little clothing as possible. She grew up having to dress lightly to assist in mastering her bloodline, but in recent years she has been able to perfect it and release her steam in specific areas without having to waste chakra or her own water.
Physical Description: Kazu has a small build and an athletic frame. Her skin curiously pale, something of an oddity in her family since almost everyone else in the Suizuma clan is at least a bit tan. Her appearance gives off the impression that she is a professional, as does the natural look on her face. She has the tattoo of the Suizuma on her left arm, starting an inch below her shoulder and ending three inches above her elbow. She also has a tattoo of the crest of the Umikoi high on her right arm, a tribute to her first and only love that died during the Kirigakure Civil War of 2115. Her most prominent tattoo is of a serpent, with the tail at her lower spine and the head at the back of her neck. This covers most of her back, in an intricate black and white design.
Various scars cover her body in various places, testaments to close calls that were not quite enough to kill her. The only two that are noticeable are both very faint and on her face; an inch long one that comes down from the right side of her lower lip, and a much longer and jagged one that comes down from just below her right eye. Her eyes are almost always sharp and piercing, another trait of the Suizuma that she managed to inherit.
History
Childhood
Kazu was very sheltered growing up, and was dysfunctional to the concept of 'friends' for most of her early years because of it. Both her father and mother were talented medical ninja, and mostly left her to herself upon the discovery that she had no desire or penchant to cause trouble. They had named her well; Kazu could mean a great many things, but they chose her name because it closely resembled a meaning for 'discipline'. She was well loved as a child, even though her parents were often busy with their work. She took the free time to learn to read and study from an early age, and developed an interest in science quickly. She enjoyed biology the most, but took a liking to finding out how most everything worked.
She never had a desire to join the ninja academy and become a shinobi like her parents, but she did know of their desire for her to do so. Her original reason for wanting to join the academy was to make the two of them proud, and her showing an aptitude at a early age for using her bloodline was the catalyst.
Her mother, Rizu, was seriously wounded in Kirigakure's battle to free the country from the NCIA, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down and unable to speak. Her inability to help in any way was the last thing she needed to eventually become a ninja. Even though she learned to kill instead of heal, she considers herself to be following in their path.
After graduating from the academy she was put under the tutelage of Umikoi Warrusu, and quickly developed her skills as a ninja along with her team.
Civil War
Kazu did not have a long time to hone her skills, however; the country was suddenly swept up into a war with itself. She did her part even though she lacked the strength to fight on the front lines. It was during the war that she first killed another person, and was surprised at how little she felt afterwards. She knew the gravity of what she'd done and knew that she would likely have to do it after becoming a genin, but had not been prepared for how to feel. Kazu never spoke with anyone about this, and the slight unease eventually passed as she aged later.
She was an unsung hero in the war, never passing up an opportunity to lend a hand when she could and never turning down a mission just because it seemed below her. A strong feeling developed in Kazu during this time, a loyalty to her homeland along with the ferocity to defend it, even from itself.
She met Hisame Haruyuki and his brother Hisame Shougo during a scouting mission, and led the both of them to a beach where D.E.A.T.H. was planning a final offensive. The makeshift team ended up sticking together to take out enemy bases that had been discovered, and Kazu bravely went in alone to start a fire in what seemed to be D.E.A.T.H.'s main base. She found herself toe to toe with Umikoi Warrugo, who was once one of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen and had been awoken by the attacks on the island. Kazu was nearly killed, but ended up setting fire to the camp while the Hisame brothers kept Warrugo at bay.
Present Day
After the war Kazu was promoted directly to jonin from genin by the Mizukage, and led a few missions with various teams. She found her niche in more dangerous solo missions, however, and her aptitude was seemingly unrivaled in scouting, espionage, and assassinations. It was around this time that she changed her name to Kazu from her given name, Sukasai, realizing the danger she was putting on her family by making powerful enemies. She knew her line of work was dangerous, and wanted to keep the danger on herself.
Kazu found her weapon of choice in the hidden blade shortly after becoming a jonin, and was led by her father to an ancient weapon named 'Kiteki' that was wielded by the forerunners of her clan in ages past. She also made a contract with the Snake Clan during this time, and became the holder of the contract scroll after proving her worth to a few of the more powerful of the serpents. Their excuse was that they enjoyed the scent of blood on her, but she knew it was mostly them saving face. Her contract with them has gotten her out of many situations that would have proven difficult, but she has not fully gained the clan's trust.
Her most notable mission was the rescue of a missing team of Kirigakure shinobi in Hagi, the capital of Okoroshima. It was here that she and Kaguya Goto came face to face with a powerful leader of a crime syndicate, known only as Yuri. Yuri had his fingers in a little bit of everything, including information about the missing Kiri-nin. Kazu managed to trade information with the man, making both a formidable foe and a powerful ally at the same time. The rescue mission was a success due to the information she retrieved, and she managed to keep her true identity safe from Yuri. It was easily the most harrowing mission she'd been given, and not a drop of blood was spilled.
She competed in the Arrakis Ninja Arts Tournament to test her skills, and dominated the upper bracket while sustaining only trivial injuries. Kazu gained slight notoriety during this time, but she did not bask in the limelight. Shortly after her victory she left Sunagakure, but not before she met Hagemasu Kikuya. The two managed to bond quickly after a vicious spar at night in the empty Arrakis Arena, and Kazu made the first new 'friend' she'd had in years after stumbling into an odd situation with a man only known as 'Tubby'.

Trivia
General Knowledge Available to Public; IC
- The name Kazu is Japanese for 'discipline'.
- Kazu has received training from three of the Hachinin; specifically Umikoi Warrusu, Hisame Haruyuki, and AkaSabure Kouta. She is most notably Warrusu's most prodigious student.
- Kazu has never taken on an official mission lower than B rank. Her entire team was nearly killed on their first mission.
- Kazu was never a chunin. She was directly promoted to jonin after her efforts in the Kirigakurean Civil War of 2115.
Private Knowledge; OOC
- Her given name is Sukasai, but chose Kazu for herself when she started taking on more important missions. It was both an attempt to keep her family safe, as well as to figuratively leave her past behind.
- Though it is not widely known, a few people do know Kazu is a homosexual. She doesn't actively make an attempt to hide it, but it is a sore spot and hardly ever comes up because of the death of her only partner after a short time of being together.
- Most of Kazu's interactions with people, even with friends, are not truly indicative of her feelings. She wears whatever mask she needs to, to get what she needs to get done.
Outside the Box; OOC
- Kazu has never lost a stat battle, and has defeated one character seventeen levels higher than hers.
- Kazu's build has been the part of the cause of a few system changes, most notably the ones to clones, weapon techniques, and critical hit chance.
- Kazu was originally meant to be a Genjutsu user. She has never learned a genjutsu skill or technique, currently up to level 98.
- She was originally thirteen years old on creation, but after the rest of her team's players quit and she became a jonin, her age was changed to nineteen to make better sense of her skill level and rank.
- While it is unknown if she is the first, she was the only player character to have the 'Path of the Assassin' and 'Path of the Hunter-nin' for at least a year, before paths were redone and made stronger. She is one of (if not the only) the few player characters to roleplay as a hunter ninja.
- Kazu is currently the only player character from the Suizuma clan, and is the second player character to have been created with the bloodline.
