Takeru Akushi
An up-and-comer in the I.A.F. , Takeru Akushi is known for impressive skill in the Ox Style school of fighting. Once a destructive punk who hung out with the wrong crowd, Akushi realized the error of his ways after the Akatsuki Invasion in which his family was killed. Suddenly orphaned, the bull turned to his older teacher, Master Gyoku who he had scorned in his selfishness. Gyoku picked up Akushi, gave him a home in his dojo, and helped set the delinquent back on the right path. Though Akushi is constantly met with misfortune and suffering, his indomitable willpower has saved more lives than he gives himself credit for.
Trademarks
- Akushi's most defining trademark would be the shield he wears on his back. Forged from the hitai-ate of his fallen comrades, Akushi wields the shield to great effect in combat due to the armor being a rather exotic thing to face in this day and age. He also tends to use it as a snowboard when traveling downhills.
- The scar under his left eye was dealt due to his foolishness of toying with a mob leader before killing him. He was struck in the face with a tanto, thus teaching him the lesson to never fool around in a fight, especially one that is life or death.
- Akushi is rarely seen in clothing that isn't predominantly red, hence where his nickname comes from.

Trivia
- The name 'Akushi' is a mishmash of 'Red' and 'Bull'. The surname 'Takeru' have a couple meanings depending on how it's written, such as 'warrior', 'fierce', 'health', and 'noble'. The Takeru lineage is also considered royalty in the real life Yamato Dynasty.
- Akushi was created without the knowledge of I.A.F. naming conventions for ships- each being named after a star consolation. Thus, the theme of the bull and the name 'Taurus' fits very well for Akushi should he ever earn his own ship.
- Akushi was made to replace Eechi-go's Sokudo Sonikku.
- Akushi has not interacted with a player character in two years. The original team that joined the I.A.F. with him were quickly swept away by inactivity. Thus far he's been trudging along his own personal plotline.
- Rhap Sodos actually went ahead and made an I.A.F. flag for Akushi for the future, just in case.
