Jaeks is a giant of a man. At over six and a half feet tall he towers over almost everyone in Iwagakure, with broad shoulders and long limbs that match his massive frame. He keeps his dark brown hair cut short and his face clean shaven, though there is usually a shadow of a beard on on his chin and leading into his sideburns. His grey eyes are more placid then sharp, his skin tan and hands rough from extended time outdoors and heavy labor.
About
Slow to provoke and slow to anger, Heiwaiwa Jaeks has a mild temperament and a disposition that almost borders on lazy. Though a hard worker and stalwart fighter, his easy going nature and supine movements lead some to believe he is simple minded or slow. Of course, six and a half feet of smiling hulk is intimidating in its own way, so others tend to avoid saying these things that to avoid provoking him on principle. Born in rural Tsuchi no Kuni, Jaeks spent most of his young life working on his family's farm, which helped impose a strong work ethic and his tendency to be an early riser. If it weren't for the NCIA occupation the large, but shy boy probably would've have passed into obscurity. However, while searching for Resistance members and ensuring that his home was not being used as a hideaway, the teenage Jaeks could not escape attention. Impressed with his large size yet easy going temperment, Jaeks was recruited into the NCIA and sent to Nigiyakashufu for formal training as a shinobi. While it was intended that he learn Taijutsu, his instructors soon discovered he had a natural affinity for Earth-jutsu, something that he could wield with far more speed and grace than the still growing limbs that the young Jaeks still had yet to fully master.
In the post war years, Jaeks stuck with his new profession and formally became a ninja of Iwagakure no Sato. His tenure with the NCIA gave him a sense of adventure, and he enlisted in the IAF shortly after it's founding. While a strong and enduring fighter, it was Jaeks calm tempermant and ability to assess others and situations dispassionately that helped him work up the chain of command. While his large size gives him a commanding presence, he has a gentle heart, interested more in learning and seeing new places than he is fighting. His slow, deliberate movements, his easygoing nature, and willingness to complete dirty or physically strenuous tasks have caused others to compare him to an "ox".
